  1. Wow, I had no idea about this vehicle until now. Love it.
  2. It’s not a moc if you’re using instructions to build someone else’s ideas so yeah it would be!
  3. Lego official sets are paint by numbers. MOC is actually painting a picture.
  4. Thanks for posting this, It couldn't have come at a better time!
  5. Absolutely fantastic. I love seeing these machines working and you’ve captured it brilliantly.
  6. Yeah I really like these wheels for scale. I find the CV joints sometimes drift down the axles so I've started putting the springs from soft shock absorbers over the axle to push them into the housing. Do Lego make a wheel that fits this tyre size aside from these ones as I hate the ridiculously wide ones.
  7. Bump. Updated first post with pics.
  8. For me personally I couldn’t be less interested in actual Lego sets with instructions. I love coming up with ideas to problems (distractions from real life) and building them in a Heath-Robinson way and then focussing the functionality down to a decent solution (that looks cool) I only buy sets to get parts, I don’t really get any satisfaction from building someone else’s ideas, however, sometimes the heat thing to do is scrutinise or build someone else’s ideas to expand the range of things I can do. new technic is for me, the easiest portal to ideas and cool looking shiny things that I can find. You can still buy most of the old stuff so if you don’t like panels, it’s easy, don’t use panels. personally I don’t like wire frame models, I’d rather see if I can create the shapes I want using other methods, that said, soft axles and rigid hoses with parts hung from them is pretty much what I like to achieve so wireframes are a fantastic evolution for me.
  9. It’s still my favourite toy to build cool stuff out of.
  10. For me, the current evolving list of parts and panels is providing the perfect blend of frustration and realism. I love it. Having stopped building when technic was still studded I find modern stuff such a joy to build with, particularly as you now build outwards in three dimensions rather than upwards. there are a couple of parts I’d really like to see but I think Lego have created a really good pallet of parts that allow levels of realism and charicature in the builds but they are still identifiably Lego.
  11. I think it’s pretty accurate in terms of when people drop big engines in these they do hang right out the back. a scooby engine makes more aesthetic sense but I reckon in the dust and sand a big old v8 will last longer.
  12. Fantastic! This has real character to it. I'm reminded of the old tamiya sand scorcher. The back view is perfect. Camber angle and stance are brilliant. This is my New favourite rc moc.
  13. That is stunning. I don’t build with instructions usually but I’m buying that. Beautiful model and the list of features is impressive.
  14. Love this! Definitely somewhere between r5 turbo2 and 205 t15 Perhaps we could create a group b shrine using this, that Quattro UR that someone built a while back and my rs200.
  15. With the photos, think less playboy and more readers wives. We want to see how it works, warts and all!
  16. I really like the mix of technic and system on this. More pics please!
  17. Love this! It’s the only Porsche I’d be interested in building these days.
  18. I’ve owned three of them. Fantastic little cars. Sadly the top mount inter cooler and hood scoop doesn’t work that well but it’s a phenomenal view to look out over while you go deaf and get your teeth shaken out. stick a front mount inter cooler on them and things get much more consistent. they are now a very endangered species mainly due to tinworm, they’re now priced in evo 6 territory so you’d have to really really love them to own one.
  19. Haha! The only devil with cars like these is the price of petrol! in a couple of years I plan to build a sunny gti-r. Another jdm dinosaur!
  20. Fantastic stuff. I really enjoyed the whole thread and the scoob looks great. The white one looks quite evo-ish if you squint.
  21. Loving this! we should all be delighted with the current situation as Lego is the perfect self isolation pass-time, along with scavenging the belongings of the dead.
  22. How about a contest for the self isolation coronavirus period? given that we don’t know the length of this we could make it a mental gamble as to how big the creation could be. Ie: you could decide to make something huge and complex but the risk is you won’t have finished by the time of the end of the isolation period/zombie apocalypse. Whichever comes first. maybe an open theme on it too?
  23. An hour!!! That’s amazing. The last thing I built about that size said 10 to 12 years on the box!
