All these torches are great. Love him. I've never seen the computer game version before. I hate the original lego one. Very cute, I can imagine with some fluffy printing these could be official. I made some tweaks to my Gringotts moc. It took ages as I was waiting on parts to come.

I'm much happier that the chess set isn't the $250 set and now as long as its a playset I don't care what the d2c is now.

You come on to talk about cat Hermione and the rug gets pulled out from under august. So what's happening? Are we getting new sets? And the prices of the other ones are wrong?

I can see why you warned people, nobody could have picked these coming out at the start of the year. Never been into brickheads so skip, liked the Hedwig build but not sure I want a whole range of creatures, will have to see what it looks like. The chess set isn't something I want. If its the chess set and scenes like the keys and vine trap it might be more appealing but I'd rather they broke them up as sets rather than this expensive set. Not sure why they don't make smaller sets out of all these scenes. I see people saying we are not the market for these, they are for kids. That bull really, once a set goes over a price point its for adults. The chess set will be about $350/$400 here in Australia. That some grown man/woman cash. This has made the june sets more appealing . I like the new cornish pixie. The Great Hall still looks rotten but the figures and scenes should improve it. Looking forward to mocing and fixing it or using it for parts. What a strange year for Harry!!

This made me laugh and he knew who you were talking about so he know he posts a lot. I do love this page but unfortunately if their is no new news and 6 new pages of chat then read at your own risk. Until we get some better leaks or final builds or a list of the fall sets there isn't a lot to talk about. I've done a clean up and removal of watermark of honey dukes and the three broomsticks image if anyone would like me to mail it to them. Once i brightened it too it looks much better. just dm me.

Not everyone hates it, people just like saying it like its fact. I liked it but as a play. The main issue is that it should never have been released in paperback pretending to be the next book. The play though is great viewing, the magic is amazing. All the time travel stuff is great in the show, its done really well. So when people say it wouldn't do well as a movie, I'm not so sure they are right. I still would prefer new stories though.

I suppose a few stickers on curved pieces would be enough. Lego did a nice job of the bear skin rug in the blacksmiths

Yes that's it. It looked odd in brown, I couldn't recognise it.

I did a bit of photoshopping on the Hogsmeade set image and removed the watermarked brightened the picture up. Noticed a few things: is the ridge plate on the Three broomsticks a new piece? Its acorn shape that's flat on one end. Also when you remove the watermark above the front door there is a triangle shape that has the three brooms on it under the antler piece. Building looks to be nougat colour. The chimneys on Honeydukes are a brick and a plate wide, odd choice. Also both buildings have interior builds so it looks the most finished of all the new sets.

This is obvious to most people but sometime you just have to say 'I will not be confirming or denying leaks or giving them out' to stop people badgering you. I think most people are happy with what you did give out as it has changed our expectations of what we might be getting this year and led to a whole list of sets we would never have considered.

I see Ryan MandRproductions got kicked out of LAN. Not because of his leaks or wanting to report on leaks according to him, not a good fit for the program.

I know what you mean but we don't normally see prelims so I don't think they are always bad, they are pretty much done, they get a few tweaks before release. The designers don't always know what will sell. And in a fantasy world yes I want great sets with great figures but it doesn't look like my fantasies are coming true this year so I would hope for something good in the way of figures as opposed to it all being bad.

I've seen some interesting takes on here on what the august wave will be and I'd like a lot of the theories so the only things I can think of them being that would upset people are odd sets that are based in Harry potter world but don't fit with the castle expansion we are used to. I'm thinking chess set, buildable creatures, buildable items like broom or the time turner or brickheadz. I really can't get my head around what the $250 set can be that we will not like, i didn't get the micro scale hogwarts but I liked the look of it. I know a lot of people say they don't mind the new sets but when you compare them to what we got last year I think we will remember 2020 as an awful year but with amazing harry potter sets. I'm hoping the figures and interiors save this years wave.

I got the 2011 set a few years ago cheap and built it but it didn't really make sense as a set. So I altered it to make it retro looking but in the style of the new sets. And the new Viaduct entrance style and scale fit with it so i added an altered version to it. The new sets idea of nostalgia is not something I'm into. The original Harry Potter sets were ugly, yes I said it. The new ones are cool and people display them. You know you are doing something right when adults display their castle and kids enjoy playing with it. Some comments I saw on facebook yesterday were that the new sets looked like some kid did a moc and a bad one at that. And the ninjago sets that got leaked yesterday look cool and they are at the same stage as these. I do feel I could moc the new sets to go under this set. Under the hall and courtyard I can fit the chamber, the bathroom can go under the tower build and fluffy can go under the viaduct. But I still think the new Hogwarts sets are ugly, Hogsmeade is the only bright spark for me.

They work well for the towers.

Not the only ones but I think those two would sell well and if they ended it at that those two sets would make the whole thing a cool display piece.

I think as a display you could start with Hagrids hut, then whomping willow then the castle we have and then a new bell towers with a courtyard set and then maybe the owery to finish off that side.

I think the forbidden corridor could be modified into this unmade section of Hogwarts but its still a lot of colour substitution to get it to go with the grey roof model we have already. It will be interesting to see the interior and sticker selection that goes with it. I like the dog and feel the brick built animals can always be tweaked to fix their problems. The bathroom is a strange build, I'm fascinated to know what goes above it. I'm not mad on it as a set design though. Hogsmeade look good and seems to be a design level that's comparable to what we have become used to the last few years. I do think the snow is very simply done so hopefully it gets more detail added to it, If not I'll have to do it. The Great Hall/ Chamber of secrets is a dumpster fire. My poor eyes. Why! I hope this is a very early design. It's so messy looking in the caste parts. All I can think about is how cool the chamber would look if they made it to go with the current wave design not this time travelling mess.

The new Vidiyo CMF mini figures come in boxes. I hope this is not a look into the future of the cmf series.

Have we ever had information like this before and info so early about the august wave? People know what the August wave is, They might not have seen it but they have detailed info about it. My problem with the leak info we are getting is that is has no details but lots of negative feelings. I'm not mad at the leakers but this blog is more about fantasy than facts most of the time until we get leaked pictures and leaked details. To have the fantasy shattered so early is a bit of a bummer. Its like writing your santas list and then having your parents spend months telling you you might not get everything on it. Or nothing from it at all. I feel like i've just been told santa doesn't exist and lego doesn't love me. :(

I put the main elements from the build in the Potions book to get a feel for how it would work. I'm sure lego would turn a lot of the elements into stickers. The organs fit in the book closed minus the seat section. I have some transparent studs on top of the fireplace wall and the clear long pole element used in the quidditch set to extend it out into the scene. Its a modified version of the one in the Haunted House set

Recreated the concept drawing from Lego Harry Potter Building the Magical World book. It's simple enough but reminds me of the new book sets. It could work as one with modification.
