Bit the bullet and got the two new small Harry Potter sets from my local lego shop. Loving the new Grawp figure but could't help but alter him slightly. He is actually quite ugly from behind so I prettied him up.

Every new harry potter set that released today, well the three that went up on the lego.com.au, are out of stock in the Australian store already. The rest are coming soon. Most of the shops don't have them here either. Target is getting them in july according to their customer service which makes me think Kmart and Bigw will be similar. The lego store near me had everything except the Burrow, student pack, polly bag and The Dursley's house. The Owl and the Astronomy Tower sold out already. Not a lot of stock levels this year. I got Grawp and room of requirement so I'm happy.

If you are happy to pay lego prices the Lego shop in Doncaster has the Room of requirement, Grawp and the Astronomy tower in. The Owl sold out at the weekend, they put it out early. No sign of the Burrow or Dursley's. Who knows when the other retail stores will get them in, nothing on kmart's coming soon. And kmart have sold their Harry potter lego at inflated prices for the first two weeks the last two years and then reduced them to the cheaper prices. Annoying! Also Target responded to someone on facebook and said they are getting them in in July in Australia.

I'm delighted we are getting at least one of the twins in the advent calendar. We got three teachers last year so do we think Dumbledore will be throw in as well this year? I think a new moody in the kilt would be great if they are going to add some of the teachers rather than repeats. Tried to recreate that vey blurry image of the broom present. I don't have the exact colours but this kind of looks like what's on the box. The fat broom part looks a little different in the image, is there a part that fits better?

Interior photos are always on my list of photos to take but lighting them is my issue. When I sort that out I'll take lots.

i can definitely see them doing a Quidittich pack with players from each house. I can't see any other way of getting Hufflepuff of Ravenclaw quidditch outfits. I would buy seven packs to get a full team.

The maps looks great and hopefully this is a set that repeats each year so we might get robes next year.

Not that I know of, the only parts I could think of made the head huge so I stuck with the one eye. I'm currently fixing up that whole display so I'll have another look when I get to the Thestral part and let u know.

I wouldn't feel too bad about not getting comments about your builds here, I've put up a good few mocs and i'm lucky if I get one comment. I think people look at them and then move on. If you want likes add your moc to instagram under #legoharrypotter or #legohogwarts and you will get likes and comments which are usually very positive. I hope to see your moc ideas here soon. I think people appreciate then, they just don't verbalise it. :)

Just noticed the astronomy tower set has a gold candle piece. Is that a new colour for it? Also is it unusual to have a print made for Advanced potions book in the astronomy set and then a different print in the cfm series 2. Seems a bit of a waste to duplicate it.

I've altered pretty much all the Harry potter sets, I love the new sets but I really like making the interiors and scenes. I've created a page here for people to share their moc's of Hogwarts and to share ideas. So feel free to share your moc images over there. Also here is my moc of the graveyard duel blended with hidden side graveyard.

This looks great, I really like the little courtyard, adds so much to the overall look of the great hall. Good work :) Blended Hidden side and the graveyard duel. The minute they came out I knew they were meant to be together.

Loving all the sets but i would have ditched the car in privet drive and made that cake scene properly with a bloated round aunt and her dog. They really should have given lavender a fabric skirt piece.

I think lego is just uploading the sets as no images up yet on Australian site only names and some sets still missing. June 1st for Australia. America always gets a bum deal with the Harry potter sets.

I like that we get Dolores Umbridge proclamations I think Grawp looks ok.
