  1. think its definitely Chamber of Secrets version
  2. I think it's a bit like cats the play and cats the movie. I never read the cursed child book, I head it was an awful read. Whereas the play is great fun and the story works a lot better as a play. The magic is amazing in it. And regarding the minifigures, in my fantasy world I think there are some cool options for minifigures in it. Future versions of some of the original characters and teachers and school robes for Slytherin for the main two kids. I would watch the play again no problem rather than watch the crimes of Grindelwade ever again.
  3. Think I'd rather characters from Harry potter and the Cursed Child than fantastic beasts at this stage. The last movie was such a mess with lots of characters I could not care less about. And its still possible we are getting the Harry potter series 2 this year, its only a rumour from one person that its been delayed.
  4. Love your dragon mod, I like the way you did his legs and the elongated neck looks cool. This is cool. Made a similar one after seeing yours. Your others builds are nice too, good use of parts.
  5. But did they not confirm at the toy fairs that the harry potter series 2 cfm were coming out this year? I can imagine delays if the corona virus continues for a long time but all possible minifigures series would be delayed and would not replacing it with another option be more time consuming? I'm not sure about this rumour.
  6. Created the missing Ghosts of Hogwarts. Helena Ravenclaw The Fat Friar. The Bloody Baron. Peeves. Moaning Myrtle. Professor Binns.
  7. The Ghosts of Hogwarts: Moaning Myrtle; Nearly Headless Nick; Peeves; The Fat Friar; Helena Ravenclaw; The Bloody Baron and Professor Binns.
  8. Did I imagine it or was there discussion of a new owl mould this year with spread wings or was it just the brick built owl coming out this year that has the wings spread. Its on my wish list anyway, and a gold owl so i can make Dumbledore's owl pedestal properly.
  9. Feasting in my Great Hall moc. I've added the presents from the advent calendar this year with some delivering owls attached. Hoping for a possible owl with spread wings in this years sets. Or a gold owl would be great.
  10. Was looking at that piece on bricklink, hope they do one in green. If Slughorn was in the cfm packets he probably would get this piece but I feel the interiors of last years sets were a bit lacking so Im not expecting it.
  11. Love the candles. Must get some of those white flower parts. Made some baby Thestrals tonight for my forbidden forest scene
  12. I had a play around with the recently released first task dragon. More spikes added and I gave him skinnier legs.
  13. Welcome to Harry potter custom builds and moc's. I'm loving the new Harry Potter range of sets but there is always room for improvement. Interested to see how people have altered, added to the existing sets or just gone crazy and built something themselves. Looking forward to seeing your magical creations.
  14. My custom centaur made from existing parts. Looking forward to seeing what legos version will look like this year.
  15. The whomping willow came with the car and Privet drive has the car too but I was mostly referring to how we have had four sets that were just vehicles. I think all of your suggestions would be part of a set and not the set themselves. The Durmstrang ship is really the only big vehicle left for them to make a stand alone set from.
  16. I totally agree that they are definitely running out of vehicles and I wonder if the owl set is them moving over from vehicle builds to creature builds. The fact that we are getting Privet Drive means that Lego is going to be peppering earlier movies into the perceived movie (OOP/HBP) release schedule. The only other vehicle I can think after the Drumstrang ship is Hagrid's motorbike and that would need scene elements as it would be very small set. It would however go with the Privet drive set coming out this year though so maybe if we don't get the ship maybe that could be the vehicle option this year. How they get the Hagrid figure on a motorbike will be interesting.
  17. Can't wait for new sets. I think looking to the past few years might give us a better idea what we might be getting this year. So just focusing on the play sets. In 2018 we got: 2 Castle scenes (Great Hall and Whomping Willow) 2 Vehicles (Hogwarts Express and Grindelwald carriage) 3 Scenes (Newts case, quidditch and spider) In 2019 we got: 1 Castle (Clock Tower) 1 Other Building (Hagrid's hut) 2 Vehicles (Beauxbatons' Carriage, Nightbus) 3 Scenes (Graveyard, Dragon and Expecto patronum) 2020 sets so far: 1 Castle (Astronomy tower) 1 Other Building (Privet Drive) 0 Vehicles 2 Scenes (Room of Requirement, Forbidden forest) So with two more sets coming in August one must be a vehicle and the other a scene set. If one of the sets is 100 could it possible be the Durmstrang ship. I can't imagine any other big vehicle. Maybe the ship comes with the second task and merpeople.
  18. Yeah the front and back are not connected but I agree that the size seems about right in proportion to lego torsos. The tower scene for the dragon is probably the best place for displaying him if you just have the castle and not the grounds built. Even without finding a way to attach him he hangs off it pretty well without falling off. I've altered my dragon slightly with more spikes and skinnier legs.
  19. Can't wait to see some images of the new sets and the figures. Really interested to see how they do the centaurs. I had a play around making one for my Hogwarts moc using existing lego pieces. If the body piece ends up being a similar size i can definitely see a possibility of one turning up in the CMF bags.
