  1. Somebody in a another forum pointed me to custom lists on rebrickable.com. Just upload a parts list or other supported files. When the list is created you can click on build, which generates a list of missing peaces based on your inventory.
  2. Hi, I struggle with making a diff between my parts I won and the parts I need for the model. I put all my sets into a set list on rebrickable. From Studio I can create a wanted list on bricklink. But how can I now get a diff between both? Could someone help me out or put me into the right direction?
  3. I can't wait to see it finished! Would be cool to see it with tracks! have you worked on them in the meantime?
  4. Has someone made a digital model of the Volvo, preferably in Studio?
  5. Whats the best way to attach it to the treads?
  6. I^m also looking for a solution for the small tread links. I found this blog post. But they did not mention where they got the rubber pieces. Does any one know where to get these?
  7. Your are right, especially when it comes to flat surfaces. But on carpet it works fine. At the beginning i also had issue with vibrations and the track popping of the big turntable. The first problem i solved by moving one of the tracks by one "unit". After that it ran much smoother. I can explain it in details with pictures, if you like. The second issue was solved by just carefully alligning al the gears and adding a track tensioner.
  8. Usually I'm a "pure lego guy", but for these gears i would make an exception. I even consider to paint them, although it doesn't feel right.
  9. Currently I'm bulding a Lego version of the Case Quadtrac 620 in 1:16. It's mainly built in Studio, but tested several mechanism to make sure things are working as expected. Haven't assembled everything yet, exept the tracks and an early version of the rear frame. I'll likely build it after i finished organising my lego parts (haven't done that for years). Here you can find some early sketches from 2008. Since then (and after a long dark age) quite a lot has changed. Even during the last couple of weeks. For a quick impression, this is the current state: Here you can see some more rendered images and screenshots. My goal is to get as close as possible to the original. That includes function, geometry and look. Planned and partially done is the following: Remote controlled with two SBricks and powered by Legos rechargeable battery box Driven by one or two large motors (hard coupled), speed should match 1:16 of the original max speed (40km/h) Steering done with two small actuators and controlled with one large motor (mainly because of the many pin holes for connecting it to the frame) Suspended cabin Front light Openable bonnet Authentic connection between front and rear unit, means no turn table Oscillation between rear and front unit PTO driven by one medium motor located in the front unit 3-point hitch lifted by two small pneumatic Motorized compressor (Mini Motor 71427, located in the rear unit ) for 3-point hitch Motorized switch (medium motor, located in the rear unit) for 3-point hitch Realistically oscillating tracks Spring-supported track tensioner Suspended rollers (these three rollers in the middle) Optional: Full lightning like the original Optional: Maybe a gearbox, but I'm afraid there will be no space left One of the challenges is to fit everything inside the frame, which is 9 studs wide. That leaves 7 studs. Questions, comments and criticism are more than welcome.
  10. You are right. But now what? It wont change anything about the 42113, regardless how many example you will find. The sooner we get over it, the better.
  11. I can't help with that, but I'm curious about it. Did you try to contact the guys who made the Buwizz?
  12. Exactly. If you can't control your competitors, then control the market. And they will do it again with other platforms too once they are have a relevant share in the market. Although i understand their behavior from their perspektiv, I don't like the development.
  13. You're welcome. Let me know when you notice any mistakes.
  14. Here is the download link. I merged all four pdf files.
  15. But this requires tan 20z in step 193 on page 146 to be swapped with black 12z from step 161 on page 130. Otherwise it wouldn't work, would it? Is there already a cad file from the original version out there? It would make it way easier for me to do instructions. UPDATE: Found one
  16. I can try. Just point me to the file with your mods :-) UPDATE: Are you referring to your torque fix here?
  17. First you need this pdf. Have a close look at the steps 220 to 223. In the meantime i will create building steps for you. Just give me a couple of minutes. I'll update this post when i'm done. UPDATE: Here you can download the instructions. Have a look at the last page for an overview. Parts in green are changes to the original version. UPDATE 2: I totally forgot to answer your others questions: Here you can find some further helpful links, including a part list which can be imported into bricklink to order them. 20z refers to a gear with 20 teeth. But i have no idea why it's "z" Thanks
  18. Don't hesitate to contact Legos customer service. In case the hub is broken, they will send you a replacement. But expect them to ask you to send the faulty hub to them for further analysis.
  19. Maybe the process of rolling back everything would have been too work- and cost-intensive? They don't have to avoid it. Because it was never officially released, they don't have to do anything about the design flaw. They can't be held for warranty, i assume. But don't get me wrong. I'm not on a witch hunt. In the end it's sad but also concerning. Regardless which scenario is true. It always leaves a bad taste. Either regarding their own guidelines or their QA process.
  20. I mean, what else should say write? "Uhm, we are sorry. The actual reason was a massive design flaw, but we used the protest as an excuse so we could cancel the set without having to admit that our QA process totally failed."? According to a member (unfortunately only in german) of the protesters they started complaining in february and serveral times afterwards. No reaction from Lego at that point.of time according to them. It is of course possible that they canceled the set because the protest was made publicly and they feared bad PR. But then I'm questioning their own guidelines and their QA process. Do they follow them only as long as their is no bad PR appearing at the horizon? Do they even do QA? Some videos have shown that the gears were destroyed within half an hour. Has nobody at Lego played with this set? has no one tested it?
  21. Not gonna happen since their official statement is relatet to the Osprey being mostly used in military, which violates their own guidelines. How would they fix that? They'd lose their credibility and the shitstorm will be even bigger. But let's get back to topic. @efferman, i really like cost guard color scheme.
