  1. While steering I can here sounds I don't like. Before I do anything I would like to ask if anyone has experienced the same issues and if it could be fixed. If yes, how? Thanks in advance.
  2. Over 300 hours until completion. Unfortunately I can't provide a picture of the finished net/braid. During unwinding the roll broke. Everything is no longer usable/waste. I was so annoyed that the whole stuff came into the bin. Sorry
  3. Just found a German builder who started to build a similar Modell: Just to get an impression of the size of the coming set. By the way he managed to build a quiet accurat suspension. I'm really curious how Legos version is build. Btw: He speaks a German dialect. So the automatically translated subtitles are not that good.
  4. Just to add one more. If there are rusty spots, get some sandpaper with really fine grain and remove them very gently.
  5. I had the same issue. Could solve it by cleaning (first rubber, then alcohol) the contacts of the controls. You have to cut some glue to open the housing of them. This wont have negative effect on the structural integrity. You can reassemble the remote again with everything secured in place. I can post pictures tomorrow, if you would like to see exactly what I mean.
  6. Now I get it. Thanks for being patient!
  7. But still... the last sentence... "Sellers can continue to sell LEGO elements (e.g. old/retired) that are not currently in production."
  8. I stumbled upon the Lego AMA. Haven't found any info about it here. Do I get the last sentence wrong? Sellers will not be allowed to sell Lego elements, which are currently produced by TLG?
  9. Thanks for the effort. I will definitely have a look at it later.
  10. +1 Maybe they managed to implement a level automatism like in Sariels model.
  11. It's hardly visible, 10ths of a millimetre. I'll have a closer look soon.
  12. Better than the ones i complained about, but still not as good like these old grey bevel gears I have.
  13. I'm not wondering why they didn't put the new into the 42099. TLG needs a unique feature/part for the 42109. Otherwise it would have been even harder to sell it. Oh, and thanks for the great reviews!
  14. Has anyone news/info regarding TLGs AMA?
  15. I found a study from 2014 about saw dust infused HDPE. The test showed that HDPE-WOOD, which might be the same like HDPE BIO, is more vulnerable to moisture intake and susceptible to micro-organism attack. A comparison between ABS and HDPE BIO would be nice. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/281230008_Evaluation_of_Mechanical_Properties_and_Durability_Performance_of_HDPE-Wood_Composites
  16. Might be the like explained here in this thread. I contacted TLG and got replacement for alle affected gears.
  17. Interesting. But man... I hardly can bear his screaming. Btw... when did they change their old motto "Don't be evil"?
  18. Don't be afraid. Just start trying! Try, fail, improve, try again.
  19. @Kompye, at first I would recommend to get your hands on the bricks. Get experience, know your bricks, learn building techniques etc. But in the end it is up to what feels better for you.
  20. A valid reason to buy a working and trustworthy online shop.
  21. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't their market/shop/user base much smaller and more expensive?
