I'm sceptical. How could TLGs interests, for example to increase marketshare and to make profit, influence the market at BrickLink?

Mindstorms Model Hunt
Andman replied to topo84's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@topo84, did you try to contact the winner, Philippe Raisin, of the competion? I think it's this guy: https://www.linkedin.com/in/praisin/ -
I had a closer look. It can be the middle bevel gear in the diff, if torque is applied to it and the diff is not or very slowly rotating. But most of the times it is the 20t bevel gear which drives the diffs. Even with little load the bevel gear is pushed away from the diff and against the lift arm frame. So it's basically the same issue which was mentioned here. But I hear also a click sound which I cannot I explain.

9V Buggy Motor Question
Andman replied to topo84's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Never seen blue sparks coming out of my buggy motors. Could the motor be worn out? -
Your Best Technic Bargains
Andman replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Got my 42099 for under 150€. For those who have access to the Norwegian market: https://lekekassen.no/lego-technic-42099-rc-x-treme-terrengkjoeretoey -
Just lack of time due to the amount of parts and expected complexity of the b-model according to Markus (the designer) in Sariels interview. Personally I don't care since I rarely build b-models. But that's of course just my personal opinion.

Connect all motors to the second hub. This bug was mentioned in one of the reviews. Here is the video with time stamp:

From what I have seen I think the new clutch is triggered at a (much?) higher torque. Someone made a comparison. Not sure if it was Sariel.
-
Wow, when I got it, it was roughly 2€ cheaper. Markus said in Sariels interview from today that they had these actuator already for quite a while. Could be en explanation (but not en excuse).

Of course... stupid me. Didn't think about the instructions. But TLG has one more day, since the release date is tomorrow :-)
-
Wouldn't we have then nearly the same discussion, just the other way around? "Why did they release the app although we can't buy the set?"
-
I can already hear the complaints... "Why is the set in country x already available and not where I live. TLG is bad!" :-D
-
I agree, but the next in the whole is the shop. And they should know. But let's get back to the set. It's only 3 days until TLG (hopefully :-) releases the app update.
-
But still... TLG knows the release date (of course they do), The reseller know them too. The customer might know. The rules were set from the beginning on. If you can buy it earlier and can't use because another part (in this case the app) is not available yet, who is responsible? Who put you, the customer, in the position to be disappointed? TLG or the shop, which sold it earlier and thereby didn't follow the TLGs plan?
-
I don't get it. How can TLG be responsible for the wrongdoings of others? The official release date was communicated. How can you expect the release of the app before the release of the set itself? And if you go into a store and buy a nonworking set, then your complaints should be directed to the shop because they sold you a nonworking toy. And why is it not working? Because the shop decided to sell it before the official release date. It wasn't TLGs decision that you can buy the set earlier.

The comparison between the 42100 and the 42082 mentions only the price in $. The price for the 42082 in Europe was 230€, not 299€. So one would expect that price for the 42100 is also adjusted. A pity that it not adjusted to 410€. Oh and BTW: Thanks for the fantastic review!

@M_longer, did you use a special application to check the dimensions?
