Wow! A power subtheme of vehicles. Now that's something that hasn't been done before. Well, actually it has. Only indirectly though.

I like the road going versions (i.e. buses and trucks). Buildings are one of my favorite too. As far as aircrafts are concerned, I have too many in my town. -

These along with a medical subtheme, TV subtheme and towing subtheme would make the perfect summer wave. How about a postal service subtheme with those. Express Delivery - includes mail van (recolored bank truck from 60169), mail box and pallet with mail and parcels. Highway Postal Haul - includes long yellow truck with 3 pallets of parcels Air Mail - includes jumbo jet with pallets, forklift and control tower Post Office - includes post office building and mail car - they actually had those in my old town. -

Yeah! Too many different subthemes in one set for it to be under a medical subtheme. Plus City doesn't really do sets like that unless it's a city booster set like 60271. -

Though I must admit that the huge crash may be a bit hard. How about a scene with an injured skater instead? -

Those are all good ideas. Maybe TV subtheme would be a good opportunity to utilize the TV 6+ company in Lego City. I also love your ideas for a medical subtheme. I would also add some type of mobile medical unit similar to this vehicle. Your general town sets ideas are good too. I don't speak for anyone else, but the town hall was all i wanted 60271 for. That and the tram. Don't really need the other subject matter. I'm still waiting for a school building and a post office too. Guess we'll have to do our best MOCs of those types of buildings until Lego sees fit to give us one from City. -

Speaking of tow trucks, I also remember coming up with a follow up to the towing subtheme from 2009. Only expending it a little by including vehicles for them to tow, similar to 60081. My ideas for a towing subtheme would be; A light duty tow truck (similar to 7638) with a small 6 stud wide sedan. A heavy wrecker with a big truck A flatbed tow truck like the one from 2013 with a broken down motorcycle. A towing barge with broken down civilian boat - though that could also work under coast guard. An aircraft transport with a helicopter that needs repair. Just because there has to be a helicopter. Grrr! I remember the one they had in 2009. A road rescue garage as the base set. Instead of a tow truck, the vehicle included is a roadside assistance car for the boss. -

However, given the unusual way Lego has decided to do things for City as of January, I wouldn't count a public transport subtheme out entirely. Even though it's not a connection in the sets alone - it could have a connection to other sets. They have easter eggs for a reason. Like how they tied fire and sky police together with the little fireman statue in the drone chase. Lego could do a 2021 public transportation subtheme the same way. The destination signs on the buses could say that the bus is going to the City Center (like it did in set no. 60154) or Main Square or Shopping Street. One of the sets could include Mayor Fleck boarding a bus that says its going to City Hall. I don't speak for anyone else, but I actually see potential in a public transportation subtheme. Similar to how I see potential in subthemes centered around other vital city services like garbage trucks, tow trucks or hospitals. -

If Lego doesn't know that there are customers out there who want one, Lego won't do it. Let them know. Yeah I only have one Lego bus and that one is from the 2017 bus set. When I get my hands on main square, I'd have the yellow tram too. I have several ideas actually. This is based on my experience in the field. I think the buses should be blue btw. Likely to be made: A taxi/ride share based 4+ set with a small car, stop, driver and civilian. A short line set with a mini bus and a shuttle bus A local passenger service set that includes a regular bus and a bendy bus. This would probably be the $100.00 set of the subtheme. A motor coach set with tourists. For the base set, A transit terminal with road plate to accommodate a bus and a track area for trains. Includes a taxi van and a teeter totter truck. Rapid Transit Train set Taxi Station Less likely to be made A school bus set with a schoold building that about the same size as the burning building from the downtown fire brigade set. A gondola that resembles the ones you'd see in the mountains. An automated people mover that you see at airports A subway barn or trolley barn A train wash A bus wash Those are pretty much my ideas of a public transportation subtheme. -

My favorite subthemes are the Towing subtheme from 2009 and the Nitro Wheels subtheme from last year. I work on cars so that's why. I also drive a bus part time (though I plan to resign soon) and a subtheme that I have been wanting for a long time was one based on the public transportation system. I agree. Rescue themed sets seem to have taken a back seat in favor of all the town stuff that we have gotten this year. I'm stoked. -

You know, if most people were really loyal Lego fans like they said they were, they'd try to work with what Lego is able to give out instead of complaining. As far as City is concerned, they've given us almost everything we have asked for. The reason why I wouldn't be pushed to its full potential by being given a dedicated subtheme instead of being pushed into town or great vehicles is simply because of sales data. Though tbh, I do wonder if they'll ever try their hands at a television station, grocery store or a post office for City. Yes Lego is a very wealthy company. But given that this is a world where the stock market is unpredictable, sometimes they can only produce sets in which they have the ocular and substantial proof that they will be successful. Nice bridge! -

Medical sets usually come out every six years. However the 2019 Ski Resort, which was technically a hospital set - only it was based in the mountains, was released after the hospital which came the previous year. That kinda threw off the balance. This year, we have a beach patrol set - which also seems to be a medical set judging from the labels. So we may see a new hospital/ambulance set. Maybe with Dr. Contageoustein from Lego City Adventures.
