Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Yes we are. Btw, I disagree about main square. I love the little town hall piece that comes with main square. The tram too. That stage is good for my radio station/recording studio MOC. I wouldn't buy the diner as the citizens of my town prefer food trucks. But put two of those together and you'll have a nice enclosed diner MOC. The limo isn't that bad either along with Carl's cart. I think the police chase and cat saving chopper was unnecessary. But you know how City idolizes the police force and fire department. My only issue would BE the price. Otherwise, it's a nice booster set. -

All I saw was that it was a new project they were testing. I didn't see anything about road baseplates being discontinued. As said above, they may sell road baseplates under another Lego theme. Like classic. -
Oh yes! I can use more food pieces in my town.

I think step by step instructions and numbered bags is a good idea. I can build my set without having to toil around. -

My final words on the upcoming winter 2021 wave. Well.....I think Tom Hanks put it best. "I'm actually excited about this! I mean it! I really am!" -

True! Since KFOLs obviously love sets that shoot things, perhaps we can do a bus wash with cannons that shoot pieces that look like water like they did in 60214 and 60216 from 2019. -

I guess this could be seen as a people pack. OK FINE!!!!! It's not very many minifigures. But still..... -

Nah! I disagree. The beach patrol set seems to be owned by the healthcare system in City than a coast guard set looking at the labels. The orange creme and blue with the love saver emblem is what makes the coast Guard subtheme unique and I think it should stay that way. -

You're right. Because every three years, they would usually release a police subtheme based in a jumpy environment like the forest, the swamp and the mountains. I hope they bring the full construction subtheme back as I do need some machinery for my construction crew. So far I have the orange 2012 dump truck, the 2015 service truck, the mobile crane from capital city and the 2019 front loader. I need a cement mixer which I'm trying to find a fresh one for a nice deal on eBay. I like the yellow one from 2013. -

Tbh, World City was one of the darkest periods in the history of town sets. I prefer modern City during the HEY generation. That's where most of my sets come from. -

Now that last one there would be something I'd pay for. If I were to get the yellow tram from main square, it'll be a good trolley barn for it. -

I hope they bring back the cargo subtheme too with a better cargo truck. Tbh, I wasn't very fond of the truck from 2017. I ended up getting the 2013 cargo truck off of EBay - which in my opinion, is a better truck. My favorite cargo plane ever made by City was the Heliplane from 2013. I'm trying to find a good deal on that one. Though it would be great if City did another one in summer 2021 Every coast guard wave released by City has been good too. I'm sure this one would be the best. I still have my 2013 coast guard ship which comes complete with a helicopter pad on the front deck. I also have the building from the 2017 coast guard headquarters. What I've been hoping from City for a long time was a subtheme for the public transportation system. So far, we've only had a few sets here and there. But unlike other city jobs, the public transport system hasn't really had own subtheme. We've had a towing subtheme, a medical subtheme, a mail/cargo subtheme, a construction subtheme, a harbor subtheme and an airport subtheme. The there are of course the police and fire subthemes. But we haven't had a subtheme for public transport. As a worker for the public transport system, I can tell you that there are plenty of aspects Lego could touch on (i.e. the different types of bus bodies, the taxi service, bus and train maintenance, employee transport, people movers, gondolas, the rapid transit system, etc). They actually have done some of those indirectly before. Overall, I'm really loving this winter 2021 wave. The cops and firefighters seem to be taking the back seat while the civilian life sets seem to be being brought to the forefront. Then again, maybe that's just me as those are the kinds of sets I go for nowadays. -

Welp! If the winter wave exceeded above and beyond the expectations by a landslide, I only wonder how the summer 2021 wave is going to look like. I know I've got a lot of purchases to make for 2021. -
Nah! I meant metro train as in a rapid transit train. Like the one in that Lego Marvel game.
-
You know what we need for 2021? Some type of metro train. Now that's something I'd buy.

A petition won't work. Its Lego! You should learn to expect Lego to do things we may not like, mainly because their goal is to please the younger generations who are less critical of a build or certain arrangement of sets like we adults are. These younger generations are also earlier in technology than we are too. That's how Lego works.

Yeah! I know that's him. I watch the show. Let's just say I've grown accustomed to the named characters. Now if only we had a Lego City club. Given your situation, you'd make a great president.
