  1. That's true! There is also hot rod drags. That's also another motorsport that is covered in the tuning shop.
  2. Those and the main square set were my top 5 favorite 2020 City sets. I tell you that tuning shop is amazing. Plan to get that one when the price goes down a little. As far as subthemes are concerned, yes those would go under the Turbo Wheels subtheme. Or Lego could be planning to bring back a full out racing subtheme as a follow up to the subtheme from the mid 90s titled "Race". That was my favorite subtheme and it's not like children don't love race cars - or else Speed Champions wouldn't exist. Even though it may not happen, I would like to see what a CITYfied revival of the Res Q theme from 1999 would look like. My guess is that it would probably be based on post natural disaster topics like the aftermath of a hurricane or a flood. Not only the police and fire sets. But also main square, the tuning workshop and city center.
  3. That's very sad to hear. 60293 to 60303 are going to be interesting I'm sure. We don't usually have long to wait for the summer wave when February or March comes. Love that avatar btw.
  4. So I was able to get a look at the back of box or the shopping street set. Looks like it will be an immediate buy for me. I think I was a little too critical for that one because I mean...I am a critical person. But after another look at that bike store and repair truck, I want it. I love that car too. I would've done a little more work on that bakery though. The one from 2019 looks better.
  5. I've seen better bakeries and bike shops by City. cough cough doughnut shop cough cough town square cough cough
  6. Very disappointing! But with the amazing slew of civilian sets being released, both the police and fire sets will be pretty easy to ignore this coming year.
  7. Oh I apologize! You were talking about a new F&F movie. I misunderstood. I thought you all were talking about some F&F Lego sets. The Subaru I was talking about was the one in F&F8. They should make that a reality for Speed Champions.
  8. I hope one of them is a grocery store. I made a MOC store front. But I'm trying to see how Lego would do it.
  9. Oh no! That was only during summer of 2019 back when they were doing track work on the yellow line. Otherwise, I just stay in VA with my bus. The bendies are still on reserve, but we only use those for rush hour nowadays. Btw, here is another set I think would be good for a city layout.
  10. Oh yeah! I driven those before. We've got lots of those here in the DMV. Quite fine buses. The one in the picture is actually the bus I was driving at the time. I told the guy who took that picture and he burst out laughing.
  11. @toopizza13 Can't wait to see how those new sets will look. They're releasing a lot of town sets this winter. I think City is trying to be that one theme that grabs the attention of all audiences from the way the new town sets look.
  12. About time they did another auto transport. Last time I saw one was in 2017, which was really a police vehicle.
  13. Ah yes! The international space station set. That one was actually pretty nice.
  14. My other favorite set is Main Square. Why? Because it's one of the sets that us hard to get and when you find it, its soooooo expensive.
  15. Currently, my favorite part about City is the Great Vehicles line. For 2020, my favorite set is the Ice Cream Truck. I've always loved it when City obsessed over little things that you'd see in a city and the ice cream truck is no different. It's a set that is perfect for any city layout. Build it and slap it into a random part of your town and pretend that your minifigs are gravitating towards it. It's also got some cool features such as a cooker area, cone display table and the opening windows. I guess you can say that I have started a collection of food trucks as I still have my pizza van from 2017. I hope I see another food truck somewhere in City in 2021.
  16. @Aanchir If the Lego line is geared towards primarily adults, I think any type of city establishment that can meet the standards of a modular deserves a fair chance. That is why I approve of things like the Bookstore and Assembly Squad. And the same with the new police station. If only I started collecting those during my TFOL years (2005 to 2011) instead of City sets. I would've had an entire town of modulars by now. I hope they look at this amazing bus terminal for a future modular. If not in 2022, maybe a year following. Of course in order to fit the piece count, they may have to remove one of the buses.
  17. ....and as an American, particularly a person who lives in the state of VA, I can say that the blue and yellow buses in my town are nicer. Like you said though. Each to their own.
  18. Nah! Red don't look good on a bus. That was the biggest mistake the London Transport made. I like yellow or blue.
  19. Each to their own. As far as City sets go though, the 2017 bus station is at least one of the top 10.
  20. That looks amazing
  21. Ikr! That's why I mostly use eBay. When I say "good", I usually mean older sets. Ones that were made back when the standards of City sets were higher.
  22. Same way any AFOL finds any good Lego sets nowadays. Bricklink and eBay. Otherwise, if I see any good new ones, I just get them from the store.
