LOL! My town doesn't even have roads yet. I'm replanning the road system. Or maybe it could be code word for a zoo subtheme? Yeah! I myself am going to have to save more of my bank account. -
Brought the sports car and a Duke DeTain keychain.

It contains one. But it looks like it represents more of a piece of black top than street. -

I just saw the price for the skate park. I'm gonna find a deal on ebay for it. Store price is a little too high for the set. -

Yeah! They could do like an automatic winch system for the helicopter and maybe a mobile hospital clinic. -

As a person who works on cars, I said the same thing about mechanics before 60258 came out. Police and Fire tests better on kids. But kids don't know the people who work on the vehicles and keep them running. -

I'd wait and see. I said the same thing about the harvester transport. Deep Sea and Space are the only ones I fight for. I only gave arctic a pass because of nostalgia from 2000. The summer wave is still kinda lame with this enormous stunt vehicle wave taking up all the space except for 5. I honestly think its better that way. The police sets are done in a more tasteful manner. They're also easy to ignore. I'd wait a see about that. -

I don't mind it much. Its a nice change. It'll give me some time to make new plans for my town. Its a good thing my town doesn't have roads yet. That's first on my list. -

I'm doing very well. Much better since we have to collect fares from passengers again. I agree with you whole heartedly on that one. I don't rush to get new sets either. But I decided to make an exception for 2021 as there are a lot of awesome sets. One of the ones being a stationary pizzeria with a car wash, something we haven't gotten in a long time. For those people who will be ready to point out the one that was included in the 2019 garage center set, yeah....I don't really count 4+. I also plan to pick up shopping street. -

60278 isn't going to be released until spring 2021. That's why. -

The winter wave is outstanding. I've pretty much decided to get everything in this picture and then some. Perfect score for this wave. Summer wave.....I'm not so sure. Too much emphasis on one thing that hasn't even proven successful. Could've used some of the bricks for a small scale coast guard wave and some Octan race car sets or something. I would like to see F1 cars make a comeback in City. Maybe a nod to the ones from the 90s. Especially a green car with the number 6 or black car with the number 1. Funny I had all the cars from that line as a child. LOL -

I'm saying "you" as in people in general. Not talking about you in specific. That Maple guy isn't the first person I've encountered that has done that. I haven't gotten any. I haven't gotten the chance to get to a Lego store yet. The department stores near my house still have 2019 and early 2020 sets on the shelves. I may get my chance next Tuesday as it's my day off. Btw Ks, it's been a while buddy. How are you? -

That's false. Then why did they bother to make 8404 and 60154? -

You'd think they'd capitalize on the buildable road plate system - which I actually adore and love. Whoever's idea at Lego to do that, kudos to you. Along with the sets you've just mentioned, a bus terminal would've been a great set too. With a building that is about the same size as the building in the crooks hideout. -

No! There are no complaints over not having our way. None of those. Do you understand? None! We're simply critiquing. We are looking at what City is supposed to be about. We know its not about what we want. I'm going to say this in defense of the critics. It's not your place to tell people how to feel. You do that and you'll only get resentment and resistance. Little life lesson. No attacks intended. But some people (especially people on this forum) are going to make me hate something that I have loved for years. At the same time, you can't tell someone how to feel about those sets being in the City theme though. -

I agree. I just didn't appreciate the accusatory remark about us making it about what we want. -

No! City is an action packed theme based on city life. Things like policing, firefighting, racing, sailing, flying and railroading. Its not what we want. It's actually what the theme is about. -

Ikr! Lego City is supposed to be a theme about kid friendly action based on realistic city life. -

I disagree. Coast Guard would be an opponent to utilize more of the animals used in last year's Divers wave. Instead of most of the stunt sets, Lego could've made room for a coast guard revival. No excuses Lego. Better yet, coast guard alongside the needed stunt sets and the wildlife subtheme would've been perfect as the three could tie in perfectly with each other. Wildlife could have a set where they rescue a washed up sea creature and they have to call the coast guard. Stunt team can have some type of stunt jetski. -

I wish I could say the same. But it's real as it could get...and here I thought the 2021 wave of City was going to be awesome. So awesome that even the sets that sucked were easy to ignore. -

Tell me about it. My town needs a coast guard headquarters. One that's not so expensive. Maybe.....and only maybe. -

Should I avoid feeling disappointed about this year's summer wave?
