  1. I'm just speaking of Winter 2020 for right now. But if the Summer 2020 wave is just as awesome, I'm considering 2020 a great start to a new decade for City. I proposed that City add spring and fall waves to their winter and summer waves. But that would be asking for a bit much.
  2. @AMD Bro! I'm being as calm as possible right now. I've got no animosity towards anyone. But I hear what you're saying. So without further a do. Topic change! Overall, I think 2020 is the best wave we've had since the golden age of 2006 to 2009.
  3. That's right. I think we'll have to agree to disagree on that one because I don't think the sticker issue is as bad as people think. Think about it. It takes a lot of time to make printed pieces and it's an expensive process. Therefore, I think stickers are actually helping as we can now receive awesome sets at a cheaper price and at a much faster pace.
  4. @koalayummies That's because LA's system isn't as big as you think. Look at some other type of statistic. New York City and Washington DC have the two biggest and busiest transit systems across the country. I know because I work for the transit system in DC. I drive one of their buses for Pete's sake. Even so, you don't even really have to work for the system to know this. I think the transit industry is more popular than you think. ESPECIALLY in the US and in Europe where Lego is made.
  5. Ikr. I think you've said a mouth full of truth there. Its not like we don't take children into consideration when we give our ideas. Matter of fact, we especially go for jobs that children are likely into. Why do you think I'm pushing for the construction, harbor and farm themes to make a return? Why do you think I believe that hospitals should be on a three year rotation system? That's because farmers, builders, sailors and doctors also happen to be popular jobs among children as well. But I do have to agree with Joebot. Especially on his last statement.
  6. You know what, despite our issues in the past, I think we can hang. I'm giving you a follow. That's been my logic the entire time I have been here.
  7. A friend of mine from Facebook made these. This is where my inspiration for ideas for a transit subtheme for City came from. 60276 Driver Training (includes the minibus) 60277 Articulated Bus (includes the articulated bus) 60278 Bus Terminal (includes the shuttle bus) 60279 Cycle N Ride (a re-release of 60154)
  8. Best Theme: Modulars Best Minifigure/Figure: The watermelon guy from Series 19 (sorry but I thought it was cute) Best Set: 10264 Corner Garage - got a chance to play with it and it was actually pretty cool. Worst Theme: I don't really consider any of the themes to be that low. SKY POLICE! Worst Minifigure/Figure: The main criminal from the 60210 Sky Police set. He gave me the creeps! Worst Set: I wouldn't call any set worse. All sets have their pros and cons. Most Anticipated for 2020: 60256 Race Car Duel - That one is among my first pickups for 2020.
  9. LOL! If you live in places like New York City, Washington DC (which is where I live) or Chicago, your best bet is to take public transportation. Especially if you want to evade traffic or pay really high parking fees. So with that being said, the transit system is a civilian service that is just as essential to city life as much as a cop, a firefighter a doctor or any other major job that is showcased properly in any Lego town-related theme.
  10. Or if you look at the bus rodeos and races on YouTube that they have across the country.
  11. The only place where Lego lovers do those things are here. I don't have any issues with making wishlists unless I'm on this forum. I swear to my parents that you can go to other platforms and you won't see this type of logic.
  12. Yeah! I'm disappointed in all children across the globe. How are they not interested in the Transit system? It could be interesting. City subtheme idea for 2021: Transit. With Modulars, all things are possible. Since modulars are targeted towards adults, it should be it's own theme. Modulars respectively.
  13. All you need to do is replace it with a white hood.
  14. Whenever I recommend something related to a bus, how come someone always disappoints?
  15. I think the bookstore looks wonderful. I hope it looks as amazing in person.
  16. I agree! Stickers are more efficient. I personally don't think stickers are a big deal as people think. Printed pieces are good, but they can only do but so much. Whether custom or straight from the factory, stickers in my opinion, are much more efficient. I've just received an Xtra sticker sheet as I'm just getting my foot in the door with MOCing. My two planned buildings are a pizzeria, post office and a grocery store.
  17. If that is so, we may be in for a whole new version of Lego City that we've never seen before.
  18. This is my MOC Bus Terminal building. I didn't really care for the half-butt bus terminal we got in 2017. Here is how I would've done it. Play-ability is still a factor. The bus terminal includes a seating area, clock tower and an office for the terminal manager to hang. I actually plan to push the baseplate out a little so there shall be enough room between the bus and the building. Part of the inspiration came from Classic Town set number 379-1 titled Bus Station. This MOC is a modern day CITYfied version of the sets.
  19. The next train wave should be put into various subthemes. If it were up to me, this is how it would go. Cargo Train - Cargo Passenger Train - Transit Police Train - Police Fire Train - Fire Ambulance Train - Medical
  20. That's because its not official nor has it been brought up by Mattel itself. Like I said, it's just a rumor. Now can we please get back to the topic of this forum, Brickheadz. You know, what people came here to talk about.
  21. I think a more respectable company like Fox or Warner Bros should buy him. He'll have more opportunities there. Especially when it comes to merchandise and Lego has a great relationship with both of those entertainment companies - to keep it Lego related that is. It's just a rumor right now. But prayers are going up that it's true.
