  1. Y'all really lack a sense of humor. Can't you take a joke? Other people on this forum troll and no one says anything to them.
  2. Warning: Eurobricks is an empathy dump for people who support outlandish decisions that Lego makes.
  3. Nostalgia for me. That's probably why I do Town Jr. Launch Command and City space instead of Star Wars.
  4. Some Lego themes are for kids. Some target an older crowd. City is just that theme that's in the middle. They target everyone. Winter 2020 seems to be a sign of that. I'm standing by my statement. Winter 2020 is the best that we've gotten in a while. Summer 2019 was good too though.
  5. I can attest to that. I remember Johnny Thunder. I also remember Pepin Reed, Dr. Kilroy and Sam Sinister.
  6. Who you gonna call? GHOST POLICE!!!!! Sorry! I just had to do that one! Some Hidden Side. Some Stranger Things. Pair that up with City Police.
  7. They may not exist in real life. But in the Lego universe, it can because in the Lego universe, crime can obviously occur anywhere. Robbers can get away on a seesaw car and the police chases them. It would be hilarious to see them try to outrun a high speed train.
  8. I personally don't mind specialized pieces as long as they are used tastefully.
  9. They probably bigger vehicles so they could appeal to kids. Considering that kids wouldn't even know what the hell a VW Bus is....I doubt it would appeal to them. I would've just stuck with the generic 4 stud wide system for automobiles. I personally can tolerate the 6 stud wide, but.....I can't speak for children.
  10. Don't really pay much attention to Technic. But I think I did see that. Yes, it would be a nice change for City. But like you said, it would probably be a better seller under Speed Champions. If you count the little SUV that comes with the 60246 Police Station, we'd actually be getting three for City with the safari off roader and the SUV from the service station being the other two.
  11. @Chiaroscuro I have two nephews who are both into medieval stuff. I'm also a father of four and one of my sons loves medieval themes. Heck, we even have a medieval theme street in our city. Matter of fact, I know a lot of children who are into medieval stuff. So I know that ain't true.
  12. @Digger of Bricks I've made up my mind. I'm going to be starting a new mechanic job in January. Having not 1, not 2, but 4 sets dedicated to the auto industry feels like a compliment to me. Considering all the sports cars and repair shops we've got lately under Speed Champions and City, kids obviously have lots of respect for the auto industry. My idea for a similar set is a racing rig set based off of those Mercedes-Benz racing trucks. Like a dual or something.
  13. YES! I got the job! I'm going to be working with Subarus now. I've always wanted to be a mechanic. To keep it Lego related, now I have a subtheme that's dedicated to my line of work.

I'll be making way more money than I did when I was a bus driver. Only a small fraction would go towards Lego. Everything else goes towards my priorities (i.e. my wife, children, mortgage, car payments, food, clothes, etc). My children also get allowances for chores too. Do those are where most of my earnings will go.

  14. @BlueLanturnCorp I want those. ????
  15. AFOL since 2006 and proud of it. Though in 2006, I was only 14.
  16. @dr_spock No no no! I meant like as in, I want to see how Lego would do it. I know we can MOC. But what I meant was that it would be interesting to see what Lego themselves would do with the idea. Though with Lego, the fire train would probably be just a small futuristic locomotive with a canon shooter coming out of it similar to the 2019 Fire sets.
  17. Yeah! PUP is the thing now. You're right! City trains do need to sell. My proposal for those is to make them non-motorized push along play like the other vehicles are. That'll make them waaaaaayyyyyyy cheaper and more opportunities for the emphasis on playability.
  18. Yeah! Something like that would've been awesome to see in 2020. Only it would be done using PF as 9V is done and over with. I also would've loved to have seen a fire train and a ballast spreading train.
  19. @danth I'd like to see something like that. I wonder why I haven't seen a police train yet.
  20. Nah. In terms of diesel racing, something like this would be better.
  21. Now this one, I just think the subtheme itself should be discontinued. Not the sets themselves. Trains Here is what I'd do. Cargo Train - Cargo Passenger Train - Town If they were to do these, which I think they should. Police Train - Police Fire Train - Fire Maintenance Train - Construction
  22. Okay......that was random
  23. @TeriXeri That's a relief. So do you think if Lego plays its cards right, we may see a harbor this summer?
  24. @AFOoLish Love the username. Btw, what does that article mean. I sounds scary.
