  1. I'd take it if they were to do revive it really well. I have a feeling that they'd bring that back as a City subtheme and call it Dinosaur Experts.
  2. @koalayummies Thanks bud No questions asked though. On the next Speed Champions wave, Subaru and Lancia (both are which are huge legends in the WRC) need to be there. Then again, I do have to admit that getting the license could be pretty hard. I'm saddened that Speed Champions doesn't have more than one wave a year. But like @Lyichir once said, we don't know TLGs limitations. Thats especially true when it comes to licensed themes.
  3. I'm surprised that this didn't grab the attention of other members I have had problems with.
  4. So it looks like we may have something in common. I think you'll be happy to know that there is a plot twist to this whole situation between me and the community. I'm about to fufill my dream job as a mechanic for one of my favorite automakers, Subaru. I always wanted to be part of the Boxer club. Let's just say.....I've been fighting for Lego to make Subaru part of the Speed Champions club. Maybe a BRZ GT300? You're right there! Let's just say that when I was in the car community on this social media platform called Google Plus, which shut down back in April. If you were seen as someone less knowledgeable, you were flamed hard by people who did research. So with that being said, looks like I need to do my research with Lego. My turn to learn again. But hey! We were finally able to come to an agreement on something and I'm sorry for how I have been towards you in the past. How about a truce between us?
  5. Tbh, I don't mind the 8 stud wide system. Just as long as it doesn't come into City. The cars not be good for my town. But they seem to be great for display.
  6. I come from the car community. So that explains why I'm a jerk at times. Especially to people who challenge me, annoy me or simply can't accept my crude humor.
  7. With that being said, I'm glad another theme with my line of work has emerged for 2020. That being the new auto subtheme. I've just obtained a new mechanic job. Since we're talking boy action, I'm expecting Lego to bring back CoastGuard and Airport next year. Summer 2021 would be it's time to be released considering that the appropriate amount of years would've passed (4 and 5 years respectively).
  8. Wishlist for summer 2020 Harbor Pizzeria (probably in the 2020 town plan set) Mini Food Market (same as above) Post Office (same as the second one) Barber Shop (don't be judgmental - same as second one)
  9. My assumption is that TLG would usually use a licensed theme to push out certain subjects (in this case Dinosaurs) so that the topic itself will get more attention. I remember in 2015, I was talking about wanting more race cars. 2015MY introduced Speed Champions, which pushes out a lot of race cars because that's how they'll grab attention. So that's prolly why they do it the way they do.
  10. Don't worry. You can still find me on MeWe. I'll post my ideas for City sets there. You're one of the very few members I have respect for. You too, @Vindicare. I have respect for you as well.
  11. @Peppermint_M I don't want any regards. Not after the treatment that a lot of users have given me since I first arrived. Then I stand up for myself and I'm seen as the bad guy? I welcome the ban hammer at this point. I need at least a month to myself anyway.
  12. Edit: I know what it means in this case. Thing is...I hate limits. Why? Because I had a strict upbringing and i had LOTS of limits put on me. Limits isn't good for someone with aspergers. Don't limit my ambition. That's a good way to set me off. I mean.... that's just who I am. Ambitious.
  13. I may visit and check things out. I just won't comment a lot. What does tempering in this case mean?
  14. I've been on this forum for a few months now. I'm already wishing I never came here. So with that being said, I believe I have brought this up to moderator, @Peppermint_M that I was going to make this post. Why am I leaving? Because when I came here, I kinda expected to be able to talk about fan stuff with fellow Lego fans. That includes speaking of what I love. What I don't love and improvements without being seen as an extremist. I would've thought that I'd be seen as bringing up good points......and in all honesty, I thought this would be like all the other forums I have been on where I would not get put down because of my stance. I was an idiot I remember talking to another member whom I believe was @Joebot and he told me that Eurobricks is unique in this aspect where you are basically told in a less abrupt way to "Be quiet and accept Lego's decisions". He brought up a good point there. But I don't like that kind of uniqueness. This doesn't happen on other forms of social media. Especially the City theme. I don't complain. I simply express my dislike for certain things that Lego does. Don't challenge my views. Don't analyze them. Don't do none of that. Those kinds of things annoy me. I should be allowed to talk about wishes for Lego without being fussed at or disappointed. I'm just a dude with aspergers syndrome who came here to hang with fellow Lego enthusiasts. Not to get flamed by a bunch of apologists committees. So with that being said, I'm saying my goodbyes. I didn't know where to put this. So I put this in the community section. No rudeness was intended. I'm just a wisecracking and sarcastic person. Just saying my final goodbyes. I wish this forum well in the future.
  15. @Lyichir Well I believe it could work. Like you said, we don't know the limitations. So there is a chance that there are no limits. On another note, with Lego itself, there are no limits to what you can do. Thats what made me stay loyal to Lego despite giving up my other toys. But due to today's popularity of Lego, calling Lego a toy would be kinda demeaning. Lego is well.... a lifestyle now. A culture.
  16. Btw, this will be amongst my last posts for a while.
  17. Lets look at the short lived subthemes of that era. No disrespect to my profession, but the garage sets from 2009 obviously didn't appeal to kids very much as it was short lived and not too much action other than the functions was present. Farm, Cargo and Harbor wouldn't really seem to gain today's kids attention either. My assumption is that 2006 to 2009 was a different era than it is today. Today, we live in an era where kids can't sit still and play unless something dangerous or adrenaline exciting situation like a robbery, natural disaster or a fire is happening. Sure, we had police and rescue sets back in 2006 to 2009, but they weren't as prominent as they are now. That's pretty much because.... there wasn't really a huge market for them then as there is now. I don't really care for the new system that Lego uses for City (neither do my kids) as due to the repetitive "Police, Great Vehicles, Explorers" system they have now can make it seem like there is barely any other lines of work in Lego City.
  18. Then how come back in 2006 to 2009, they had lots of sets that wouldn't appeal to children? Are you a KFOL? That's what I mean. They stopped putting the age limitations on there. Judging from some of the sets, it seems like they are listening to TFOLs too. Merry Christmas to you too!
  19. Nothing Police anyone??? ???
  20. City should release these more often. C'mon Lego! Please do a fire or medical brick box next!
  21. But what's your view on a revival of the 90s era Adventures sets with Johnny, Pepin, Kilroy and Sam Sinister? I think reving the classic adventures sets is a magnificent idea.
  22. I guess its goodbye for now. I probably won't be active on this forum for much longer. I'm purposely trying to get banned at this point. When I came to this forum, I came to talk about fan stuff. I didn't come to get told to basically "shut up and accept what Lego does!". I'm kinda tired of that so I've decided to take a break from these forums for a while.

      Modeltrainman

That's kind of drastic, don't you think?

Dude! I've already been warned 3 times. I was not even being rude. I was standing up for myself. I welcome a ban. I have no place on this forum anymore.

    3. Asajki

      Asajki

I can't exactly say you were completely in the right, you have been very childish in certain events

Nevertheless, I hope things can get better for you

  23. You mean putting negativity in its place and standing up for yourself? Or being flat out honest about certain indignities? Is there a way I can remove my account? I need to send a message out. Allow me to say my goodbyes first.
