This version looks even more impressive than the first one! The additional defense walls certainly add a much needed bulk to those bastions. Good job!

An impressive vessel ye have made! Some better pictures indeed would allow to inspect this fine masterpiece closer. Either way, good job! I did not know that either.

[OFFICIAL] LEGO Icons 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship
Jack Sassy replied to CloneCommando99's topic in LEGO Pirates
Aye, that be a strange image. In all of his appearances he has brown trousers, but one could assume that the designers took notes from this particular image. Quite often that be the case. Not a problem for me, just the colour mismatch on his sash is evident. -

I appreciate the usage of the original hat and hair mould for Jack, though a dark blue torso would suit him better. Why does he seem to have sand blue legs? Lovely to see Elizabeth in her underdress, I was hoping for such a piece. Any speculation as to whom the head on Jack might belong to? Edit: I still stand by the original face printing for Gibbs, it is far more superior to this new disgruntled version. -
Neo Fabuland Maximillian's Watermill

This is truly a fabulous land! I particularly appreciate the way those yellow doors have been constructed. This elevates the Fabuland style to the best MOC traditions of our time. It is always welcoming to see more of these builds. Good job! -

Aye, a closer inspection would be required but at first glance I prefer the original version. Call me an old sea dog, but the thick lines on these new figures lessen the detail. I do wonder, is he going to have a new hair piece? -
So I see. Unfortunately, I will not be able to join ye for this game. Hopefully more players will appear.

I would love to play another pirates mafia game (this time a lot more peacefully ) but I be not sure if I would have the time for it. @Bob, is it scheduled to happen in August?
-
Aye, for all we know, the facial expressions could be the only change. It still seems to me an impossible thing - introducing new moulds and bringing back some old ones through BDP. One would require a set that is more... available, to the other scoundrels beyond ones like ourselves on the internet, to revitalise a good old morion helmet.
-
Thank ye! I find the news of changes to the minifigures rather interesting. I think ye and I both would benefit from the return of the morion.
-
Is that so? Within the context of the 2015 line - it had been six years since the last proper pirates wave. I believe that back then people could look at these sets more critically than they would after 10 years of no pirates. Perhaps it be time for a change. I have been waiting for a new wave since the 30th anniversary of the original line in 2019. Therefore, this BDP set be a worthy champion among new offerings in the West Indies that we know as LEGO markets.
-
Nay, just the word from below decks. Yer points emphasise the distaste some fans felt with this wave. That be a problem too. I expect the smaller sets would sell much more rapidly.
-
Aye, that be good thinking. Though my eyesight is degrading from all these screens. These forums, BL and Brickset be me only exceptions for LEGO. I believe that might have been a problem with the 2015 wave of sets.
-
The new Wicked bookends set includes a minifigure with a rather useful torso: It be the second on the right hand side, with the blue waistcoat.
-
Aye, these two points are crucial for me. I dread the day all instruction will be available only in digital format. Some of the earlier BDP designs suffered from poor design choices, albeit the latest offerings are much more... sturdy. I do share a similar sentiment. Quite often are we given a peculiar form of pirates set to satisfy the thirst for rum new plunder (that being sets). Hopefully, we shall see more sets in the future of the regular variety. As long as there be the olde classics on the aftermarket, our collections shall be satisfactory. Be this a sign of no hope? Nay, for BDP, while not suiting all, still gives us some fine designs. This Coconut Cape be a prime example. However, we shan't forget regular form of pirates sets, for they shall always give us much more combined, rather than just a single fortress, as impressive as it be.

This be an impressive display of Imperial might on land! As others have mentioned, the gun ports have some NPU. I also appreciate the rockwork with foliage, it looks the right amount of natural in LEGO form. Good job on yer first land based MOC!
-
They seem a bit more challenging to acquire. Nevertheless, I wish to see something like this done by LEGO itself.
-
This looks lovely, wish it were an official set. That said, it would need a closed back to go together with, say, the new Eldorado Fortress. I appreciate the return of those filthy scoundrels Imperial Armada but these designs be limited by the modern resources. They be in dire need of Armada helmets! In summary, this be a fine fortress build. I meself will not be obtaining it, but hope that others will appreciate it.

[WIP][MOC] Ongoing project HMS Victory in minifig scale

Aye, some projects do take multiple years. I must say that the hull has been constructed impressively. -

An impressive start! Are ye planning to keep the black colour for the decks in the future? If so, I would suggest changing them to tan or dark tan, that be more accurate in this case. I be eager to see more progress on this magnificent vessel. -
What’s the most you’ve spent on a single piece?
Jack Sassy replied to Rjbricks's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Some years ago I bought three 1x2 black arched window frames, back when they last appeared in the 90s and costed 5 euros a piece. Glad that they have returned.
