  1. Well, that isn't rather nice (In my opinion), Classic LEGO having fakes like these just doesn't feel right to me.
  2. I don't use Facebook, therefore can't see it or ask for permission without creating a new account. By other LEGO parts you mean printed tiles and such?
  3. I don't have much of an experience with counterfeit minifigures, but I expect them to have some printing mistake that when compared with original minifigure, can be spotted.
  4. Nay, this is Kermit's business!
  5. Perhaps they in fact wanted to remake a set with proper build, and that plane set is the best bet from Last Crusade. I always preferred Motorcycle Chase over Fighter Plane Attack, but it is nice to see this set getting remade in a somewhat original manner (with the car and all that), Venice Canal Chase would not be the same as Indy doesn't have his classic attire. Still, not too fond that all of these are remakes but I shall take them for what they are.
  6. Maybe we will get a set from 5th film with younger Indy. LEGO seems to do that quite a lot nowadays.
  7. Indeed, by the sound of it, first wave has to be rather good but who knows...
  8. But do ye believe that we could be getting another set in 2024?
  9. Alright, good, but where are Pirate-themed 90th Anniversary sets?
  10. I do have to experiment with that. Like I said, it is a nice clean look, however, perhaps multiple colours will look better. So I shall compare one colour and multiple colours.
  11. That is a good point, perhaps it will play out that way. A good theory indeed, if the film turns out to be set mostly in Ancient Greece/Rome, it is possible for LEGO to release more than one set based on it.
  12. Where did ye get that information? I saw photos from the set but nothing much story-wise. Also, telling from the filming set photos, Antonio Banderas will play a ship's captain in present day (1969 that is). I expect LEGO to make a set based on final battle location in film, possibly that Roman set and something else. Those are my guesses.
  13. I would love to see that but it is possible that LEGO will do a very primitive wave for the new film.
  14. Do not blame me, source material suggests such colour, as it is something taken out of historically inaccurate fantasy . Indeed, tan colours are far more accurate for vessel decks (I am using dark tan plates for lower deck) but I do believe in order to stay true to source material, I must build the deck with darker colours. Brighter colours would just look off, but thank ye for the explanation. P.S. I do like that little illustration at the beginning.
  15. Aye, thank ye for the example, it does look good, perhaps buying few plates from either colour would help determine it in the end.
  16. Thank ye for sharing! Jackdaw is a different situation, due to it actually having a lot of different colours and materials. Vessel that I am making is in one colour, therefore I am trying to achieve a darker look. I will experiment with colour change on poop deck, forecastle and main deck. I found a picture which has (more or less) deck that I am trying to achieve:
  17. There is a 6x14 plate available in brown, which is perfect size for my deck. Surely, there are some specific pieces that aren't available in such colours but for those I have in mind few containers to cover up unwanted colours. Sadly, nay, vessel that I am building has a dark, yet clean look that I want to replicate. I have seen people use dark tan and reddish brown but such colours are too bright. Black blends it all too much and dark bluish grey makes no sense (since the deck isn't made of concrete ). Brown and dark brown are two colours I have come down to but am yet to decide which to pick.
  18. Question about upper decks: which one do ye all prefer, dark brown or brown? I can't make up me mind as to which colour I should use to have a darker effect on a vessel.
  19. I use the torso exactly for that! It fits rather well with goggles from CMF series 21 Airplane Girl (her torso is usable too).
  20. Good job! I saw this in a Brickworld tour video and was stunned. Builds like these are what proves that Eurobricks certainly unites LEGO fans around the world!
  21. I must say, still prefer original faces to new ones, but they do not look bad at all. Good job!
  22. Well done, these look lovely and are as close as possible to source material. I do love that ye managed to incorporate doors.
  23. This is a well thought out theme! Good job! I am certainly looking forward to more in the future!
  24. Nothing be better than a proper pirate pub visit.
  25. I am, then ye for asking. Most problems that interfere with blogging are associated with private life and the said MOC that I am building, hence why I have very little time for other side activities. I shall truly get on with finishing that Pirate Tavern MOC rather soon.
