[WIP] The Seven Seas Barracuda (East Indiaman Galleon)
Jack Sassy replied to cehnot's topic in Pirate MOCs
I usually use a simple soft brush, it gets in smaller areas rather well. It would take time in yer case, but I suppose it is worth it. -
[MOC] Western set that never existed: 6768
Jack Sassy replied to MrOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Lovely idea and even better execution! Saloon indeed is something that to me felt unacceptable as missing, hence I too decided some time ago to build a MOC, though the idea has been frozen for now. Yours looks very lovely, good job! -
I really appreciate that ye and @evancelt have begun building Wild West themed MOCs, the theme needs more recognition nowadays, and with talented builders such as yerselves, MOCs shall look glorious. I love everything about this - the minifigures, building, landscape, animals, etc. Outstanding job!

Use any picture hosting website (Flickr, Brickshelf etc.), copy link to the said picture in here and it shall magically appear. I believe there was a guide somewhere around, can't seem to recall where... Hope this helps!

Impressive, very impressive. Rarely do we get to see full interior for a build this size. An extraordinary job!
-
Nice to see it as a topic of its own! Not sure if that be the case, but those lights look (to me) a tad bright. Anyway, ways ye could improve this is by adding even more to the already amazing scene, perhaps a kraken or an island (more boats?), there are endless possibilities and these are only few to begin with, just make sure it isn't too crowded. Other than that, a good job ye have done!
-
A good solution (however, it would take me whole desk to display vessels behind glass ). Do ye have more pictures of the diorama by any chance? Would love to see more of it. And if yer up for it, you could even create a new topic just for it, thus this lovely diorama would not disappear in this topic.

To be honest, I was not interested in the set and have others to buy, but that printed piece really made me reconsider not buying the set. It is nice to see a remake of older parts.

Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Jack Sassy replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, Avatar theme has been officially revealed, now we shall wait for Indy. P.S. Now that @TurinTheGreat is banned (know the reason for it, I do not) I would like to say that I had suspicion this person was @Mr No. There are plenty of things that hint to it (interests, account creation, etc.). It matters not at the moment, but I just wanted to say it. -
Perhaps they might, that is if they see fit to do it in order to earn a wee more income. I hope there will be something pirate-themed rather soon, I would be settled for something along the lines of Creator pirate rollercoaster.

They all are similar to each other. I recall there were at least 10 Black Pearl knock-offs being sold, each from a different company!
-
It is a Lepin-type company that produces Lego knock-offs. They seem to have a pirate line in the past: For some reason it has @Piraten's name as theme's title.
-
I seem to recall seeing it somewhere in the forum...

By profession, nay. By blood? Possible. Besides, vikings are old-fashioned pirates, no?
-
Indeed, @HothFan1987 already sent me the said picture through private messaging, thank ye nonetheless!

I can't seem to find it. Do you happen to have this image at yer disposal?

Those towers look lovely! Looking forward to seeing rest of the bits come along too. Good job! -
10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Jack Sassy replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Indeed. Truth be told, I am not that excited about this set (as I stated before about it including only one theme), I am yet to decide whether I will buy it or not.- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Jack Sassy replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yet it is a rumour, Promobricks can also make mistakes (just like anyone else). I will think of it as a rumour until I see official pictures.- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Jack Sassy replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I suppose so. Just feels like this way they would be ignoring rest of those great themes and praising only one, not really fair.- 2,976 replies

Not everyone, mind ye. My confession, I do! Out of the whole Pirates line I own Brick Bounty and 2020 Barracuda, Bounty is disassembled in a box, while Barracuda is underneath a sheet (to prevent dusting), it seems rather weird but that is how I take care of bigger sets in general. Them sails are in a seperate bag (don't see much use of them for now anyway). Technically I am not displaying Barracuda, but keeping it stored away. Ye decide whether I shall be punished or not for keeping the sails away.

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Jack Sassy replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
A nice message (if true), but I feel that a 90th anniversary set should be a mix of multiple classic themes (Castle, Pirates, Space, etc.), this feels rather wrong. (I do like the idea of getting a new medieval castle, though.)- 2,976 replies

Why do only certain sets stickers peel?
Jack Sassy replied to Whovastron's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Won't know an answer to this (others have given good ones anyway) but this topic is rather interesting and I believe it should be discussed frequently. There are, in fact a lot of new sets with generous amount of stickers, though it isn't much pleasing to me. From what I can gather, transparent stickers seem thinner than casual ones, so they might bring some trouble in general, Lego needs to do more prints. I liked the article, thanks for sharing!
