Jack Sassy replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
My biggest concern about that set. -
Do not give up hope, there could something in store for us at some point (I think) . I meself am getting tired of this waiting game, not knowing if there will be a prize in the end.

I personally am hoping for that feature (just like in the original set). Would be foolish to have two vehicles with only stud shooter feature. -

The sets look rather lovely, though I must say, feels like the Temple of Doom has been somewhat <insert that tiresome argument>. Will give these a chance nevertheless. -
Slope 33 3 x 4 Part-ID 3297 | different texture?
Jack Sassy replied to The Reader's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I believe it could indicate that this piece has had its texture changed as time has passed by. Can't recall which variant is older and which newer but if I had to guess, rough texture might be older. Other slope pieces have this type situation too, have noticed it last few years. However, there could be a different explanation to this, so, who knows? -
In a way. We can always hope for more pirate sets in the future.

I see, all I have to do after cleaning is to obtain a new battery.
-
Well, ye answered all my puzzling questions. Thank ye! Will get down to fixing the light brick for the lighthouse.
-
Yes but what about that shell thingy the battery hides in? I feel so dumb not knowing much about electronics.
-
Of course, admittedly, I don't have much experience with light bricks as I have encountered them just a few times. I could try that, aye. But wouldn't that mean that I have to change the small battery with its shell thingy afterwards?
-
(Not sure if it belongs here, feel free to move if it doesn't.) Hello all! Just recently I bought a sealed copy of 4194: Whitecap Bay and as I was building it, came across a light brick, which to me looked rather out of the ordinary: Here it is placed next to an ordinary light brick (on the left), seems that battery leaked (?) as it is just on this side (Much to my surprise, the light brick itself doesn't work ). Anyone knows what could have caused this and what even is it? Note that set was possibly kept in a humid environment, as the box and bricks have such a scent which indicates it. All answers and ideas will be welcomly received. Jack Sassy

A lovely submission, that box art certainly gives it more of the Classic Pirates charm. Good job! Nay, but I haven't had the time to frontpage the one before this, so, If in the meantime @Captain Braunsfeld wishes to frontpage this astounding model, so be it.
-
Might have to look into that too. Something from the high society.
-
Fine work indeed, welcome to our cove! Are ye planning of doing separate topics for these MOCs in the future?
-
I see, will have to look at different options once I obtain them.
-
Indeed, was about to ask ye about it anyway.
-
Well, that scrapped all me theories in a flash.
-
Nevertheless, can't wait for the new projects.
-
Oh, yes, those too. They could fit for a faction which uses some purple accents on uniforms.
-
As always, astounding work! Love all the little details and characters. Good job!
-
So... any ideas which faction of soldiers would best fit the new orange epaulettes?

[WIP] Motorized HMS Bellerophon 74-gun ship-of-the-line
Jack Sassy replied to NilssonLegoEngineering's topic in Pirate MOCs
These certainly give us a better look of all those glorious mechanisms. Thank ye! -
A lovely little car indeed. Seems like a modern version of Adventurers Car from 1998. Good job on it!

Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

It would increase the piece count, making that leaked one more believable (personally, I would like to see a single piece ball). -
What are some of your favorite themes/sets?
Jack Sassy replied to Legomind3000's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I cannot express enough my love for Pirates and Pirates of the Caribbean, just love the whole era, especially once represented in LEGO. Have to mention Adventurers and Indiana Jones too, as those always had that magic feeling about them. And last but not least, I really have fond memories of the early City years. Such a lovely end to a lovely theme.
