[SR - Ship Level] Increase the ship limits
evancelt replied to NOD's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice build, NOD. Like Bregir, I'm curious if this is part of the same build that had that giant climbing wall? -
[COR - CHIV - CAT C] Westface Market

As Bregir mentioned, I love seeing the busyness of the scene. Glad to see the yellow Terraversan troops reappear! -
As I've said before, I don't know much about ships, but this looks awesome! Great brick built hull @TomSkippy! The place where the aft section of the ship hull meets the middle seems a little abrupt, but it works really well overall Wonderful job rendering the digital rigging - looks great! Fun to see the different angles on the mast raking. I like the smaller size of the ship, would be fun to have a fleet of these interspersed with the larger frigates. I'm sure Corrington would love to add this ship to our ranks. A GoC from me!

As a new shareholder of the East Terran Trade Company, Captain Sir Jonathan Brickleton elected to lead a caravan of ETTC wagons heading north from Westface along the Terraversan Trade Road. The shipments consisted of a variety of exotic citruses, including oranges, limes, and lemons. The traders would stop over at the island's new central trading hub before continuing on north to King's Port. The trade company had hired Terraversans in Westface to work the wagon train, but they counted on trusty ETTC Sepoys from Jameston to safeguard its passage. As the first wagon approached an Atwi adobe building, Brickleton saw a young boy and his mother watching their advance. Brickleton snatched an orange from the wagon and tossed it to the boy, who took a bite of the orange, peel and all, and smiled with a wide grin. My entry for Cat E of Challenge IV, the first part of a planned ETTC collab.

Awesome! Are the rubberbands in the blue ship structural?

[COR - ChIVC] The Crimson Mill, Westface

Super cool build! Looks great - I really love the water wheel mechanism and the red masonry looks awesome. Been a while since one of your builds had no land/vegetation in the foreground - having the border hug the base is a cool idea. What is the 1x2 brick color interspersed with the lt bley in the 2nd story walls? Is it a tan or old colored white bricks? Some other grey? I see Allcock is retaining his fancier uniform. Are he and Montoya discussing the upcoming ETTC meeting (that was going to happen 2 weeks from a month ago )? -
With three turns remaining, the added vegetation is starting to make it look closer to finished. Great work

Cool! The "Children's Book" reminds me of Redwall -
[GoC] Class VII 38 Gun Frigate HMS Argonaut

Excellent hull shape on this ship. The masts are sturdy looking and impressively tall. The intricate rigging and closeup shots with lots of detail make it for me - I love the brick built guns and the tubework at the fore. Great looking crew! I mentioned on your Spudkirk build, but the little red coats on the marines look cool. Big fan of the bluecoated naval officers for Corrington - I like to think of Corrington doing that similarly to the British navy. for GoC from me! I was waiting to post here to see if others with more knowledge of ships would post first, but figured it was time! Great work! -

Interesting building, @Wellesley! I like the drawings you made and the building features. The headdresses as an angel is a great idea. Did you make those overcoats for the redcoats? They look cool -
I like the ornate frame around the painting of the building and the candles. Nice clean / open main space to allow patrons to focus on the art

[COR-FB] Mushroom Grow House, Wullham
evancelt replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks! Haha I'll update the store re: LCorps Thanks - yeah olive green rocks! Have some more OG plates in the mail, then will try some larger OG bases. Thanks! I think it'd be fun to try out a similar technique with the log profile bricks intermixed with masonry profile bricks (also on their side). The masonry bricks would help add some diversity -

To the left of the door is a smaller SNOT section with only 1 log profile per vertical row - I think it might work to do that to add some wooden texture without being as intense as a whole wall of it! Excited to see what you come up with if you try it -

Yes indeed - log profile bricks with 1x2 plates between them! -

Wonderful build @CapOnBOBS! Great job incorporating the rebuilding process into the final build (the remnants). Classy looking building -

Haha yeah it took sleeping on the idea for a night to figure out how to connect all the pieces (door, walls, roof, etc). The key was a solid core on the inside to help pin the sides together -

The evening after her dinner of wild mushroom soup prepared by Treewa, Elsabeth Stockton couldn't stop thinking about the delicious meal. Over the next few weeks, she had Treewa prepare the dish four more times. On the fifth occasion, she made a proposal to Treewa: Would he help her run a mushroom grow house here in Wullham? She was a gentlewoman and not one to fantasize about entrepreneurial endeavors, but she knew a good opportunity when she tasted it. She had plenty of funds, and no task to occupy her time. When Treewa agreed to be her business partner, she had him source some good starting fungi and contracted masons from town to construct a low mushroom grow house adjacent to a small pond. She and Treewa figured they would need the water to keep the sheep manure they'd be growing the mushrooms in damp. Elsabeth remembered that Captain Brickleton was not a fan of "earthen" smells, and made sure the location was downwind of the Mayor's House. Once operational, the cooks at Fort Stockton would regularly send soldiers on kitchen duty down to the grow house to fetch fresh mushrooms to feed the garrison. Licensed as a medium plantation in Wullham

This looks overall really great @NOD! The sheer size of it is very impressive. Nice work! Something is bothering me about the flatness of the tan/reddish-brown/green tiles at the beach/boardwalk/grass area. I wonder if elevating the boardwalk or grass by one plate would make it seem more natural? -

While the recent Terraversa peace treaty split the town of Sillitholina between Oleon and the Commonwealth of Terraversa, the Atwi recognize that the river is a free trade zone and establish a ferry market. View of the south shore, where merchants get ready to board the ferry. Juhgi is lost in thought staring at water rippling over a rock in the River Sil, accordion music in the background from the ferry.
