  1. Today's Instagram blast seems like a microbuild feature - cool to see
  2. Haha no need to be sorry - glad to have it done early!
  3. Thanks! Definitely planning some red/orange BoBS builds
  4. May 17th, @Ross Fisher! That was some epic foresight
  5. While it's true a big war would have attracted new players, I think at the time it was likely that a big war also would have lost some current players Congrats to the winners! Nice builds all around
  6. The new one looks better, but it's way less useful because the arms/legs don't move. Still, it can hang from its tail taunting passersby!
  7. That sucks - hope they show up soon!
  8. Yeah BrickWolf, CapOnBOBS, Ross Fisher, and I want some competition for D, E, & F!
  9. The mouse heads and animal legs are both 3rd party from a company called Crazy Bricks. The heads were created as a limited run for Mouse Guard, and the legs are still available.
  10. I would add in conquistador helmets (armada figs), powdered wigs (continental soldier minifig), barrister/judge wig, and perhaps tophats for marines on royal navy ships
  11. Thanks! I was trying to make it a sandstone-ish color. I toyed with the idea of using sand red pieces, but while I have a few, it would have been cost prohibitive to get enough for a castle! Ended up mixing new and old dark reds, dark orange, and medium nougat together to approximate sandstone. I figured by anchoring the medium nougat with the path, the building would tie into the scene OK.
  12. "Redwall Abbey" Basil Stag Hare watches from the southwestern parapet as a mouse sets out to gather fresh mushrooms for the upcoming feast. ------------------------ I don't usually venture out of the Pirates theme forum, but when I saw the Winnie the Pooh set I knew the time had come to start some Redwall builds! This is the first of a planned series
  13. Welcome and I look forward to your intro post for your sigfig! The most recent war was with Oleon in the Brick Seas and just wrapped up with peace on Terraversa. I think there is still war with the Lotus Empire. A previous war is the Juniper War
  14. Agreed, maybe we should ask @Mister Phes about it There is a strong manure trade over in Wullham on Brethren of the Brick Seas
  15. Haha thanks for the comments guys.
  16. Yeah that real pronunciation of "bear-en-stain" has always weirded me out since my family growing up definitely said "bear-in-steen". Looks like Cap or someone else changed the spelling on the settlement page
  17. After his carriage broke down, the count was left stranded among sheep while his driver went for help. He thought to himself, "I wore the wrong boots".
  18. @CapOnBOBS - I see your new settlement page for "Plinton". Is it Plinton or Pilnton? I've seen it written both ways is older posts, but the version suggested to me to include in the map was Pilnton
  19. Haha as soon as you posted here they posted a Bregir photo to instagram https://www.instagram.com/brethrenofthebrickseas/
  20. Nice work @CapOnBOBS! I like the green slopes for the bottom and side edges a lot. I agree it seems in the spirit of the challenge by delineating the central trade area.
  21. I got tagged in that post too. It credited @Kai NRG correctly though! By tagging us maybe they were just trying to get our attention so we like the post? Udo.king does that for me pretty often
  22. I make no claims as to ETTC wages one way or the other, but report this specific sepoy doesn't have his own non-barracks place to crash and is staying with his brother His brother likes collecting gems Thanks! The water is nougat under the trans-clear tiles. This build features bright light blue, medium blue, and sand blue. In my collection I have 9 different LEGO blue colors, and have discovered some interesting things about how they work together. Working on a tutorial-esque type post about all the LEGO blues.
  23. Thanks! I meant to mention this to @caiman0637 above, but the bridge is v2 of a small bridge I first tried out in the Inn, Wullham build. In that one the bridge used round 1x1 bricks and looked a little chunky, so went with bar clips this time to make it more dainty. Also used bars for the wood sticking out of the building this time instead of 1x1 round bricks used on the Along The Trade Road - trying to make all the elements daintier
