  1. I revamped the sidecar with 2L motors and reinforced the structure a bit to make the whole thing a bit less clumsy. Just for more fun. And it rides sensibly better!
  2. You don't seem to be lacking ideas, that's the most important thing. You'll do better next time ! Cheers !
  3. That's sad.. I like it pretty much so far. Get it done nevertheless and post pictures, I'm looking forward seeing it finished!
  4. Mine didn't get a lot of reaction either, it's a bit frustrating indeed, but I guess that's because we're getting close to the deadline.. It also seems you get more reaction with huge builds. Even if their looks are arguable or they're so heavy they almost colapse under their own weight. Whatever, I prefer small, well finished builds that you can actually swoosh around and display. By the way, I like this little hot rod, great style. The background of why it's a single seater remains a bit obscure; what kind of car was it in the first place ? Or did those post apocalyptic guys build it from scratch like that ? Then why a lot of care on some details while others are left rather raw ? Anyway, it's a nice MOC that deserves some love. Cheers and good luck with the voting !
  5. I had the feeling I had seen that somewhere.. Anyway, I love the color scheme and the mine layer in particular. Good job !
  6. @Jim extended the deadline to Thursday. Maybe this gives you enough time to rework that video... The blinking is indeed horrible.
  7. Definitely fits the theme, in my opinion. The focus in the movies, especially the last one, is almost exclusively on combat and action. But peaceful people also roam that Mad Max world. One of my favorite vehicles in that universe has always been the gyrocopter, which was obviously not meant for war in the first place.
  8. In fact, prior to Fury Road (which remains my favorite part), vehicules are on a whole other level of modification, and only seldomly are equipped with weapons at all. They are meant to be quick. Big slow ones need an escort and are an easy target for marauders, especially when alone. Which puts slow and heavy builds even further from the theme in my opinion.. This one here is close enough to what was done to 1970's cars for the first opus. Now, I agree, it may lack the ostensive blower of the Pursuit Special, but beefier electric motors do no produce that kind of external display of power. A more rugged look maybe ? The people on board are pretty exposed.. Or it's just not meant to enter combat at all, only to survive the conditions. After all, design responds to a scenario you have in mind for a post apocalyptic world and your vehicule's role in it. There's just as many valid ideas as there are people. It's just a matter of how much it speaks to others and only if you care about the ranking. ;)
  9. Nice one! Of course I'm an old fart that likes the smell of gasoline in the morning, the apocalyptic sound of a big engine and the beauty of motor's internals, but I kinda like the fact that our favorite builds now have a valid reason not to fake engines or pretend they exhaust anything anymore. Real life electric cars are a thing and this MOC is a brilliant model.
  10. 11. Apocalypse Scrambler "In this broken world where nobody should be trusted and gas has more value than life, my ride has to be a motorcycle." Two-wheelers are a Mad Max classic. All episodes feature some, in a vast variety of style and purpose. Mine is a scout and interceptor, with enough punch to outrun anything on the road, and should that not be the case, the ability to escape off-road. It features steering, side stand, full suspension with lengthened single swing arm, shaft transmission, compressed twin flat four fake engine and a mine layer device. It equips a nitro tank, explosive and smoke grenades, a jerrycan, a luggage bag, a sniper rifle and a dashboard with speedometer and compass. Downloads: digital file / instructions Cheers!
  11. At the last minute, I figured I needed something extra to show on the video. So, in a 2-hours build yesterday night, I came up with a RC sidecar. It's not featured in this MOC, but helps show it in movement. Video is online! Also, instructions available here. Thanks and hats off to @Clawp who volunteered to produce them for this great community.
  12. Or not. Frankly, I can't imagine a flying zombie killing tank in any Mad Max movie.
  13. The original contest on vk.com is here. My understanding is that the build presented in this topic was developed in collaboration with the author of the original MOC, Micha Biktimirov. So there's not much stealing from him, rather a comrades' collaboration. Am I right? And quite a nice job was done from the original on vk.com in both color picking, fine tuning and photography to get to the jaw-dropping visuals presented in this thread.
  14. I find it awesome that you're officially in the contest ! It's more than deserved. Only, I guess we'll fight for second place, now..
  15. I thought it was nice before I saw it was RC. IT's amazing! Very nice job packing that in. My only grief is.. This chocolate is no good. That brand gets mostly sold to foreigners, we Swiss people know there's a whole lot better than this.
  16. This is awesome! Very good job with the details and color.. And I like the idea that this one is actually affordable.
  17. Very nice build! Helps me realize how modest my greenhouse was..
  18. You're most welcome here, @Silvavasil Looking forward your next post !
  19. This is top class! Brillant job guys! A shame it can't take part in TC17 because of a stupid broken headlight.. "No cutting, sculpting or modifying parts." Jokes apart, okay it has been presented before and so you're out of the little challenge we happen to have here and now.. But this is by far my absolute favourite rendition of a Mad Max vehicule I've ever seen, anywhere. Kudos !
