  1. Some people have decided that the gunship has to come with a legion of clones and all the commanders... I'm calling it now, #notmygunship posts will spam lego's social media as soon as the set's revealed and it has, like, 3 figures. While I understand why cobb isn't in the set and am fine with it, I can personally vouch that purist customs of him don't look great. The boba fett torso has a light grey suit, and putting dark red arms on him looks really weird, like he's wearing a grey tank top over a red shirt. Still super happy with the set, cobb would have been to big of a spoiler and could easily have leaked before the episode premiered. Tusken raider might be a new variant, we've been getting a few new printings lately. Oh, right. "star wars fans complain about everything" was my free space on the bingo card. I agree this is a great set. Side note: it's especially great we're getting more tuskens, they're already pretty cheap on bricklink but the new season has really made me want to mass them. I go over this above, but I feel like Cobb is a harder custom than gideon, maybe the client too. That said, I totally understand why he wasn't in the set, and I'm super happy with the set we got.
  2. i thought that was the free space? I'm almost done with mine, I just need "clearly fake list gets multiple pages of discussion" and I'll have bingo. Not bad, not bad. Beskar mando is all I wanted, but another child for cheap is good, and I do like that we're getting more tusken stuff, I loved the new things we learn about them in the show. Ironically I just made a set moc-up as speculation and it had his swoop. People are too upset about this IMO. Beskar mando and the child in a cheap set is great, as lego could easily have put them in more expensive sets (like the child right now) to get them to sell. I loved the tusken's role in the mandalorian, so I might be a bit biased here, but all I think's missing is a bantha. Cobb would be too big of a spoiler to put in a set, I suppose. Eh...I guess at least it's not a repeat of the Enfy's bike.
  3. This is a good list. I think the snowtrooper battle pack is very likely to become a set, and I especially wish lego'd make sets of your suggestions for rey's speeder and the AT-TE. Also like that Evaan Verlaine is included. Continuing with my list for each film, ESB: Battle packs: Blizzard force battle pack ($14.99): 3x snowtrooper, snowtrooper commander. Builds are a probe droid and speeder like the 2020 model. Echo Base defenders battle pack ($14.99): 2x hoth rebel soldier, hoth rebel scout, hoth rebel commander. Comes with a bit of terrain and a P-Tower. Duel: Bespin Duel (We just got one, but it's the only duel in the film and I thought i'd change the location $19.99): Carbon-freezing chamber build with Luke and Vader. There's a play feature for a hose to be "cut" and fall in front of vader like in the film, as well as one for luke to jump out of the chamber. Other sets: Cloud car ($24.99): twin pod cloud car (reddish orange like in the film) with cloud car pilot, lobot, and a stormtrooper. Battle of Hoth ($49.99): rebel trench build with DF-9 and small blaster turret, probe droid build, e-web, and tauntaun. Comes with 2x snowtrooper, leia (hoth), chewbacca (snow printing), hoth rebel soldier. x-wing ($69.99): x-wing similar to the new 2021 model but with more detail, swamp and plant pieces added, a small build of luke's camp where he first meets yoda, and a small yoda's hut build. Comes with Luke (dagobah training), Yoda, and R2-D2. TIE bomber ($89.99): imperial tie bomber build with bomb drop feature. Comes with a tie pilot, 2x stormtrooper, Admiral Piett, and Han Solo (black jacket) Slave One ($129.99): Slave one with concussion missile launcher and opening ramp into a cargo bay with Boba Fett, han solo (carbonite), lando, a bespin guard, c-3po, and lobot. UCS: UCS AT-AT ($599.99): Large AT-AT build with interior in both the cockpit and main hanger. Comes with General Veers (arm printing and dual molding) and 2x at-at pilots (printed arms, white helmet and armor over light bluish grey jumpsuit, red stripe printed on back of helmet)
  4. I'm not so sure, given that they only release once every 2 years. We'll say in addition to the 5 sets already released (ewok village, hoth/echo base, cantina, death star, cloud city.) they make 3-5 new ones from your list: Jabba's palace, endor bunker, pentaki, yavin and/or jedi temple. That means there'd be 8-10 mbs sets, so by the time they ran out, 16-20 years would have passed, definitely enough time for them to cycle back through. Lego's implied it'll be based on attack of the clones. Definitely not in the minority. You should have seen some of the "predictions" people had when the set won the vote, expecting like 4 different clone commanders and a massive amount of troopers. This is why I didn't vote for the gunship, I'd rather the nebuleon be made as a UCS and the gunship be system scale. Since the gunship won, a system scale gunship, one more likely to be minifigure scale and have more figures, is unlikely.
  5. The han from Solo, of course. (Or wait, wasn't there a child han solo that came with one of the dvds?) Good, I can't imagine what lego's thought process was if they actually had made beskar mando an event exclusive.
  6. I imagine this wave's OT focus is due to their new approach at these sets. Aside from the microfighters, mando set, etc, it's an X-wing and TIE fighter alongside a lamba. The two most iconic vehicles in star wars, with the lambda also being a very well-known design and probably the most iconic one to do for a shuttle-type thing. (I feel like the falcon wouldn't be able to be done at $70 with any amount of interior besides a cockpit, so that'd rule it out) Yavin would come 2022 at the earliest like you say, and even then there's things like an MBS jabba's palace or endor bunker. It's annoying only getting one of these every few years, but I guess it makes sense considering the market. Adults who'll buy multi-hundred dollar iconic ships are one thing, but ones who will buy massive playsets are somewhat more rare, I imagine.
  7. A microfighter has Han, like you said, and c-3po was in the fairly recent landspeeder set. Chewbacca's last system set was the TROS falcon in october 2019, though. (they also all show up in the cantina, but that's a $350 MBS and not really a normal set.) All recent enough that it's not like they're due for a new figure, but it's possible. I agree, these figure-price ratios are great! It's the same figure count as x-wings and TIEs usually have, but about half the price! If I had to guess, we'd see something like: Palpatine, Vader, officer, shuttle pilot, 2x stormtrooper (or royal guard, although having two sets include figure lineups of palpatine, vader, and royal guards within 6 months is somewhat unlikely.)
  8. Keep your eye on the shuttle then, if the counts for the x-wing and TIE are any indication we could see around 6 figures in the $70 shuttle. And hey, skirt leia's only been in one $200 set, so showing up in a $50 x-wing isn't too bad. If you don't mind having a slightly different print on the gunship's turrets, you can get it for $100-130 on bricklink (without figures of course) by using "part out" and then buying from there, less if you go through your unused parts. Personally i'm at about $70 including shipping and just waiting to see if the price drops a bit more. Yeah, it's a pretty good figure lineup and definately massable (though a legion of protocol droids would be...interesting.) The pilot is probably a normal one, though I share your enthusiasm for the new squadrons pilot designs.
  9. That's why I don't think it's that. I'm sure it'll be larger than minifigure scale. Figures seem legit. 3 in a $40 set and 4 in a $50 aren't bad, but much better than 3 in an $80 or whatever the last tie and x-wing were. The death star droid leaked online too, so that checks out, and of course @Renown's qoute would imply dodanna.
  10. The magnaguard starfighter
  11. It's possible, I'm just not sold on LEGO turning out the gunship by may, and being able to keep a fan-vote UCS set at only $200.
  12. Death star re-release is possible, but I feel like the fall UCS this year has got to be the gunship, and the may one is usually like $200, so I can't see it coming that soon, hence why I think it's an x-wing figure. he hasn't, which is why I think it might be him. New set is probably from season 2 and is a "hero vehicle/transport"
  13. Honestly if literally any part of this scene shows up in a set i'll be happy. We might be overthinking this. Last one was a ponda baba qoute, and soon after he and dr evazan leaked. My guess is Dodanna might be in the x-wing.
  14. It's a good episode, I find it funny that it was directed by Peyton Reed given the other major thing he directed. absolutely nothing in this one that could be a set though, as much as I'd like
  15. Yeah you'll be fine, I always thought the engines were dark gray anyway.
  16. It'll be a good special for kids. There were a few good jokes in the trailer, too. And I mean, either max rebo survives or Rey uses the world between worlds time travel to bring him back, so either way I'm happy.
  17. not sure what part 93168 is, it's not showing up on bricklink or google for me. Unless it's a large panel, you should be fine. If it is a large panel, depends on how you think it'll look personally.
  18. I'm glad you added that red bit, and this looks great! I'm working on one of these right now too. Correct me if I'm wrong but is that the 2020 podracer engine with a seat strapped on and then some minor mods on the seat side? Somehow that just makes it feel more legitimate, as kit bashed as the vehicle itself. The figure is great too, I did a similar design for him (I had a different head, the captain america/star lord hair, black pants with a holster and a blue jetpack). I think yours is more or less the best we can get with unaltered parts, although I hope we get an official figure as the shirt is hard to do.
  19. This is a tough one for me. On the one hand, vader, palpatine, and the royal guards are all available in the same set right now (and most people have them already anyway), and the tyderium crew is much harder to find. On the other hand, something about that crew being included just feels so right. Imperial inspection is one of those sets I'd stare at in the visual dictionary as a kid, it was a great design for the time, had side builds that enhanced playability by so much, and a generous figure count with a large amount of basic troops and officers that really made it feel like an empire. it just feels right for the first shuttle in this new style to be the same as the famous imperial inspection set. And hey, we don't know how the figure count will be affected by the new price and haven't seen the side builds, so maybe it could have a similar figure count and side builds to the old set.
  20. Not bad at all! I like the "eyes" on this one quite a bit, and the feet are also pretty good.
  21. For me I'm gonna go with the ITT just for the figures, as I really want a new Cara and/or S2 Greef, and while the ITT probably won't be done justice this small (I made one I thought was pretty small and it was still like 400 parts), the boat doesn't seem that interesting. I agree that the rancor wouldn't work as well brick-built, but that's a much more complex and humanoid shape. A bantha could work pretty well brick-built, I'll probably do a moc of one soon. The microfighter one was pretty good, anyway. (also make sure to use spoilers when talking about more spoilery things, it's only been like a day and there are definitely some plot spoilers there ) Ironically Cara's hair is different this season based on the funko pop and some images, and I think the S1 hairpiece actually works now. I agree we need the correct skin tone though, and an arm print tatoo would be nice. The current cara figure really failed in terms of looking like Gina Carano, even if the skin tone was right the print looks too old and doesn't really resemble her. Where is this? Instagram won't show recent # posts for me I'm guessing it'd be in the TIE. Like you say, not the most exciting thing, but at least it's a new figure. At any rate, I can use it to represent AP-5.
  22. As @PreVizsla says, we had a sorry excuse for an imperial troop transport in a 2015 battle pack. It could probably be done at 276 pieces, but it won't be all that big and probably will only have room for 1-2 figures inside. I do hope we get a mythrol in it, maybe with a new head mold? Greef has a new outfit in the posters too, but as long as we get a new beskar mando I'll be happy. As much as I wish it would happen, I think the ITT is locked in unless there's another hero transport that can be done at $30. Mando's speeder isn't really a "transport" so to speak, and the sandcrawler could definitely not be done at $30. or a brick-built bantha. Tusken raider battle pack when?
  23. I wish it was, but if it is a "hero transport", I think the ITT the heroes take over in the trailer is more likely. Yeah they literally just took the current figure and photoshopped the color to dark gray. Didn't even change the design and kept the bandoliar in, too.
  24. I've done an interceptor and bomber in a similar style to the 2018 TIE fighter, if you want I can send you a stud.io file for the interceptor for free. There aren't any official bombers or interceptors that aren't blue, but the 2018 TIE is pretty good and if you're looking at scale, the 2021 one looks good too.
  25. I think it was the best episode so far by quite a lot. I can think of a few sets for it: That would be a really cool set, but doesn't fit the whole "transport" thing. 75299 is clearly a GNK droid wearing a mandalorian helmet. (If anyone is somehow unable to figure this out, that's not a mando S2 spoiler.)
