  1. I guess there's still some exclusive sets he could be in, but I agree, it really does stand out. It's less than half the cost of the previous one, I don't think we'll get anything more than room for boba in the cockpit.
  2. Welcome back! Last year had a few early official reveals for promo purposes, but I'd guess we'll see most of the sets leak in may, with the main wave releasing in august. The UCS sets will probably be r2 revealed and releasing in may, the gunship being a complete surprise, and the at-at being revealed and released in september/october. The 18+ meditation chamber is a wild card here. Yes. Watch the official reveal of the helmets have the third one blurred out, and upon it's release in stores the box is just blank.
  3. This is likely, especially since at least the lists I've seen are kind of fuzzy on the minifigures, with stuff like "bo-katan is in one of the sets". It could end up being something like Han, Boba, a wing guard and Zuckuss. I'm pretty sure it is, for three reasons: The list that reputable leakers have shown off includes the gunship as that set. "there's no reason a republic gunship should cost that much". It's a UCS set, what do you mean, were you expecting a system scale gunship? "only two $350 sets are the only two MBS sets": First off, that's completely coincidental. Secondly, there have been other sets that were basically MBS, such as assault on hoth being the reason for the MBS label. There are also MBS style sets such as the 2016 death star, 2013 ewok village, etc, at a variety of price points. Someone said earlier that they're "getting the popcorn ready", and I fully plan to do the same. Sit back and watch the comments and hashtags as people come to realize that the set isn't just a system gunship with a few hundred clones. Probably, but hey, you never know. The IT-S and Final Duel came out of nowhere, after all.
  4. Given that the 2016 one retires soon, I'm hopeful we'll see an enclosed DS1 in 2022. Ninjago is not licensed, star wars is. If we're talking about star wars sets, the battle packs, which are the exception and not the rule to figures being in a set, come with very small builds. You plop three battle packs together and you definitely won't have enough parts for an ITT. And battle packs are the army builders, this set isn't meant as one. The problem with "more figures as the pricepoint goes up" is from that idea, since you can't start with the battle packs as they're exceptions. You'd realistically start with microfighters or duels or the $25 location sets, in which case you get a model like this: # of figures in each set = or < (cost of each set in USD)/10, rounding up for sets that are, say $25. The number decreases as the cost of the set increases, so while in general $10 sets have one figure, $20 have two, $25-30 have three, $40 have four, $130-160 sets don't come with 13-16 figures. I've been saying this too, this was even my reasoning for voting for the nebuleon-b. A UCS gunship makes a system one more unlikely to be released soon. And most people voted because either A: they saw prequel UCS and clicked, B: MandR told them too, or C: they thought that a fan vote set meant that it'd have hilarious amounts of figures.
  5. Yeah, I'm thinking the price point has to be wrong, because no way the meditation chamber is $100 or more, it'd have to be much larger than minifig scale. I too am waiting for the minifigure lineup to be revealed as a clone pilot or two and a single p1 trooper, and then the fans will complain that it didn't have literally every named clone trooper ever. Called it! I'm pretty excited to see this thing, it's got to be pretty big. Yes! "I've been waiting a long time for this, my little green friend" Wait, where? It's still out of stock on lego.com (either that or the restock sold out in 3 hours.)
  6. You do realize that 7 figures "at a minimum" in a $40 set is an insane expectation, right?
  7. Good to know, if they posted it it's almost certainly legit. Advent calendar figures: TROS rey, TFA rey, Farmboy Luke, Pilot Luke, Child Anakin, Mustafar anakin. Since I guess these are real, my thoughts on the wave: UCS R2-D2: So I was wrong and there are three this year, I guess. Artoo needed the remake, the 2013 one was great but the age is showing. I'll either get the cruiser or get this and bricklink Bo and Fennec. UCS republic gunship: everything is proceeding as I have foreseen...the gunship is the cost of an actual UCS set and likely sized like one, and the complaints are already beginning. Wait until people find out it doesn't come with every named clone in the series plus 7567 501st troopers! I won't get it, I don't collect UCS and I've been bricklinking parts for the 2013 gunship. "mandalore throne and vault": This seems like the mandalore duel? Nice way to get ahsoka and maul, I guess, though I'm not sure what the "vault" is. I've already got S7 Ahsoka and a maul figure so I'll pass, but it'll probably be a good set. Imperial Troop Transport: I've got a MOC of this thing that I've been waiting to release until I finish all my Mando S2 Mocs, I want to see how close I got to what it actually is. I'll definitely buy the set itself, It's nice to have more non-walker imperial ground vehicles and the figure selection sounds nice. Slave one: I think @Brikkyy13 predicted this like a year ago. This sounds nice as a S2-adjacent set, even if the figures aren't for it, since boba fett is making a comeback. I won't get it as I'm hunting the 2019 set and I feel like a slave one sized ship needs to be larger than a $50 set can provide. UCS death star or AT-AT? I like the implication that they know it's one of the two but can't figure out which one. Nothing else to say here as we don't know what it is yet. Bad Batch Shuttle: Sounds great as a bad batch tie in, it's an interesting ship and clone force 99 is interesting. Not worth $100 to me, but maybe the show'll change my mind. Moff gideon's cruiser: we all saw this coming, I hope it comes with fennec so I can bricklink her. A new Cara Dune would be great too, the last one is seriously inaccurate. I don't want to spend $160 on this when I have a star destroyer already but I might cave. Mando fighter: This is surprising. Personally I won't get it, but I'm sure it'll sell well. Vader's Meditation chamber: not sure what's going on here. If it's like bespin duel I'll probably get it, but it's an interesting set concept. And isn't this the 18+ set that was supposedly like $100? I can't see this being that much.
  8. Has anyone besides MandR leaked anything more than "bo is coming in one of the sets?" IF this list is real, that'd be great. I'll definitely get the troop transport, and at the very least fennec and bo figures if not the cruise itself. Again, IF it's real.
  9. Probably not, for a few reasons. -though wanted by afols now, the set didn't sell well back when it came out, and I can't see them making a wide-release version even if they label it 18+ -lego is starting to make sets at a slightly smaller scale, but dropping the price by almost half (when you account for inflation) would be tough. The AT-TE would have to be basically midi-scale to have it and a dropship for $160. -The dropship is pretty obscure, and it seems more likely they'd just do an AT-TE or gunship or something for a republic vehicle at $100+ This is probably it. If they don't have any factories down there, it's probably pretty expensive to ship stuff to australia, and lego probably decided it would be better to ship too little stock down there and have a shortage (and ensure high demand for the next shipment) than to ship too much stock down there and have to either ship the stuff back or just leave it. ...why? Lego doesn't frequently do chrome anymore, and there's no way a non-UCS naboo starfighter would be anywhere near $160.
  10. The cantina's reviews wouldn't affect this year's MBS though.
  11. I checked and yeah, that $500 blister pack is sus. There's also a $500,000 sports card, and while I'm no expert on sports trading cards, $500,000 seems like a lot more than someone would pay for a piece of paper.
  12. I knew it (I know they said it's just a guess since it's not the DS, just let me have this lol) Jaxxon, Valance, and boba fett with a lightsaber beg to differ.
  13. They look great! I'm not usually a fan of models that use normal parts and gaps where a windscreen should be, but these manage to pull off that look. The stands are impressive too.
  14. Not yet! Hey, you weren't the one who made it. You found a list and posted it, you even warned that it might be fake. No worries.
  15. Yes, the only 1hy set we don't know the contents of yet is the third helmet. It almost feels to me like he wanted to be caught, why else would he put those there? They aren't realistic or popular ideas for sets. The torrent and transport give this away as 100% fake, but to respond to your responses: I want to know this "leaker" 's logic behind build a trooper because it's too expensive to be a helmet, makes no sense as a boost set, and isn't priced like the mosaics or any of the other gimmick sets we've had recently. "revenge of palpatine" could be a mistranslation to something like palpatine's arrest, though that's a strech, but my main point about that set is there's no way that he'd know this set is a prequel set but nothing else about it's contents, and nothing about the contents of the other sets. It was added to his list as something to make people excited for a senate duel or palpatine's arrest set. Sure the star destroyer makes sense, as do some of his other choices. He has realistic sets on the list, that's to help make people think it's real. Like I said, the inclusion of the torrent and transport are a dead giveaway, having those two sets are notorious for being on fake lists. Also, we know mandalorian sets are coming later this year, and surprise surprise, no mando sets on this fake list.
  16. Yeah, the wheel face can't hold those panel parts there, there's not enough space. I'm thinking something might work using the technic axle hole through the middle. An illegal but somewhat nice looking solution could be to wedge a 1x2 tile through the middle with a 1x1 tile through the top 2 studs.
  17. Good suggestions! I think I'll go for the mando battlepack torso. I also finished a rudimentary Fennec Shand, I'll take a picture of all my custom mando figs and upload them here sometime.
  18. "build a trooper" sounds sketchy and reminds me of the toys r us event back before Attack of the clones where it was just a box full of lego clones and you had to build as many as you could in one minute. V-19 torrent and resistance transport are hangovers from an old fake list, and many of the other sets sound too wishlistly to be true. Case in point, "revenge of palpatine" is not something lego would name a set, and it seems unlikely to me that the poster would know it's a prequel set, but nothing about the actual contents of the set aside from that, and nothing about the other sets besides the names. (prices and numbers for the next wave leaked a few days ago, he's clearly basing them off that.) TLDR THE LIST IS COMPLETELY FAKE. Yeah, and they never made much sense either. I can accept that some people might want the torrent (though it seems like people would want a headhunter or ARC-170 much more) but the resistance transport/lifeboat from TLJ is not something people are asking for. Add to it that neither of these sets seem likely for lego to make anytime soon (Ship that only appears in the first couple seasons of an animated show, and a ship without weapons that would be hard to make at that scale and is from a film they made a ton of sets for a few years ago), and it seems almost like this guy wanted to tip people off to it being fake.
  19. Looks great! I love that helmet for the armorer, it's perfect and I never would have thought of using it, time for me to go on bricklink and order it. The micro razor crest is also stands out, using those astromech torsos is very creative. I have one small criticism, Cobb vanth is not that old.
  20. Honestly there's not much detail on her legs on that costume, and there aren't any white legs that just have printing of some creases and no other colors, so I'd say plain white legs work best if you're swapping out the dress.
  21. Wait, don't sent the Bothans, they'll all die again! I don't think it's real either, I think it's speculation that people on instagram are calling leaks. The problem is even those sets aren't to scale with each other. Honestly, unless you have a single specific scale like 1:30, I'd just go with whatever looks better to you.
  22. I'm gonna be "that guy" and bring up that minifig scale doesn't really exist because minifigures aren't proportionate to humans (I. e. most humans aren't half as wide as they are tall). Therefore if you're looking for something exact you have to figure out what dimension you want to use (I.e. a figure as 6' tall), but in general terms I'd say that the new TIE is a bit too small compared to the figure, but the x-wing looks good. That said, I own the 2018 x-wing, which I assume is larger, and it looks pretty good to-scale too.
  23. Luckily it's been confirmed by reliable sources that there are more mando sets coming.
  24. The ship looks good! You might want to tone down the color variation just a bit, but it's still pretty good as-is. The part usage is genius, I especially like the game controller as part of the ship controls and the paint roller as part of the gun. That astromech design is super creative too.
  25. I just can't see them putting more than 4-5 real figures in a $30 set, which tanks the value per figure quantity down by half. (I agree that battle droids could be thrown in and don't really count). The builds in the 501st sets were a bit better in that they, you know, existed in canon, but they were still super oversized just to make up the $30 price point, which again comes back to the problem of that price point. The new, cheaper sets for normal system sets are great, but if they decide to move up battle packs to $30, it's an odd choice from a financial perspective. Yeah I really don't understand this mentality. Why would someone care that people want to get sets when they release, much less be at all surprised by finding that on a LEGO forum?
