  1. Still not sold on that hairpiece for her, but I'll have to use that shoulder armor idea
  2. I wasn't sure where to put this, so I'll put it in the general thread I suppose. I'm working on a fallen order MOC set, does anyone have color suggestions for the tomb guardian? currently I'm thinking dark tan and DBG, but it doesn't have the shininess of the in-game character.
  3. That's it, you're right. ...what? Wait, you might be onto something. Back when the first wave came out, some people thought the stormtrooper helmet looks more like a replica of the lego mold of the helmet than the prop.
  4. I believe they did, but not before some high-profile LAN members quit.
  5. Yeah, something feels off with that vader helmet, though I can't put my finger on it. Loooooove the scout helmet, definitely going to be a buy. The vader one has...something off, but overall looks pretty good. The probe droid is a solid build, not a fan of the droid/animal/yoda statue series but it looks good.
  6. If durge can come back, so can fordo, right?......right? I've got two lists today, the Solo list that's next up chronologically and a CMF since that's the discussion in the main thread: Solo wave: CMF:
  7. This is completely semantic, but clone captain came first (not that I didn't think he was fordo when he came out in 2013...). Still seems weird to me that it's them and not a pilot and normal trooper. Yeah, people have complained about every set more or less, lol. People complain that we aren't getting more prequel sets when the most recent summer wave and upcoming summer wave are plurality prequel era. @Childish_Landino did clarify it's more speculation than confirmation, but this is exciting. HERESY! as you should know, normal eurobricks members NEVER go off-topic! As for what they do, here's what I could see, based on the fact that while you're right in that they usually have the main characters, it's usually variants (1940s wonder woman and batman, black and white mickey and minne, simpsons variants, random batsuits, etc). So I could see something like (at the risk of getting even more off-topic): the main four of each trilogy (main trio + villian), but in variants. For instance, we could see hooded Rey, Medgown Luke, Padawan anakin (Hey, it's been 8 years) alongside caped grievous, Kylo ren with smashed helmet, and battle-damaged vader.
  8. It does look pretty cool, that extra bit of detail for it is nice. Is there any actual proof on that? I know some people say that certain sequel sets were usually still on shelves at their local store, but I've seen sets from other eras shelf warming as well, and that type of evidence is more speculation than anything, certainly not enough to draw the "lego + sequels = failure" conclusion. Lego uses black for the probe droids normally. I'm glad this one is DBG.
  9. Well done! I see a lot of mocs where it's just generic forest/rock/desert or whatever and they ascribe some random planet with similar features to it, but you've really captured the look of Bogano with the gentle cliffs. The colors are on point as well. I could easily see the empire setting up a base here after discovering it in fallen order, and your hunter being hired to take out one of the officers.
  10. Yup. Extremely underrated episode too, probably the most star wars has been actual war content besides rogue one. In that case we agree then. A p2 cody could easily be added to any generic GAR vehicle. PT is prequel trilogy, or just sort of prequel era in general. I was referring to the demand for more prequel era sets, which lego has seen and responded by making the summer 2020 and 2021 waves plurality prequel era. Multiple reliable leakers have reported on this wave, which includes (and I'm sure I'm forgetting some here) a CW mandalorian fighter, duel on mandalore, bad batch shuttle, etc for prequel sets, alongside vader's meditation chamber and two mandalorian sets (arquitens and trexler marauder)
  11. Yup. Opinion on a film has nothing to do with the facts of it's box office revenue (maybe not as much as some expectations but still massive amounts of money) and increased cultural relevance. Ironically, the sequel trilogy, through putting star wars back at the head of cultural relevence and encouraging people to watch all the films, probably led to at least some of the renewed prequel trilogy enthusiasm. Well first, But also, we're getting multiple clone wars sets this year, and we got clone wars sets in the years where it had been cancelled and there were no plans to continue it. Yeah, all the time. People wanted the 501st battlepack- they got one. People didn't like how expensive the x-wings and ties were getting? New ones were produced for just over half the price. People wanted more PT sets? the 2020 and 2021 summer waves have greatly increased amounts of PT sets, possibly more than either other trilogy depending on how you count the mandalorian.
  12. I believe you can post MOCS of non-canon things on the forum as long as you made them to exist in the star wars universe. Looking at the top page on this part of the forum there are quite a few mocs of non-canon situations or objects. So a 501st starfighter that's your own design would be totally ok to post (and pretty cool to see).
  13. This is exactly why I voted for the nebulon. At least now I feel justified in buying the parts for the 2013 gunship. I've been warning about this for months. There's going to be backlash and "lego doesn't care about the fans" because the gunship doesn't have every clone trooper to ever appear on screen. Not exactly. Those were generic CIS/GAR vehicles that were based on the clone wars show, so they included clone wars commanders in the appropriate armor. However, the gunship is different as ever since the vote began, they've been extremely clear that the set would be based off attack of the clones, where a p2 cody could chronologically not appear. They can't have p1 and p2 clones in the same set, and obviously a p1 clone makes much more sense for an attack of the clones set than a p2 clone.
  14. They have done it often. The falcon is a good example, but the y-wing, snowspeeder, B-wing, x-wing, AT-ST and likely some others that I'm not remembering all had system sets and UCS sets within a year or two of each other. I think it makes sense, as they are meant for different markets. Children and people who either don't want to or can't afford to spend $800 on a lego set get the cheaper at-at (not that $160 is cheap), and people who want a massive display model get the UCS one. Was it a rumor or just speculation, i. e. "this is rumored to have 11,000 pieces and since it's that size, maybe it's a death star"? Genuinely asking, as I saw it from instagram but this guy definitely could have done it first.
  15. You have no idea, I have to limit myself to one bricklink order per month or I spend way more than is financially responsible for me to. What's the MOC you made for the 501st? I recently bought another 501st set, as well as another mandalorian battle pack to get the free shipping (I now somehow have over 40 mandalorians, I'm using the unnamed ones with similar colors to make clans)
  16. I had to look up merumeru, he looks like if the punisher was a wookie. Great list, though a 25 euro AT-RT with 2 figures is a horrifying thought . I also like the starfighter with booster ring idea, it's a nice way to make the set more than just a recolor. The next one for my lists is also revenge of the sith, here's my take:
  17. (I didn't know that it's virtual again, that's disappointing). What happened last time seemed to be a "hey, we can't distribute this at the convention now, let's at least let some people get it", so I feel like they'll either have a distribution plan this time, say a giveaway or raffle, or they won't have made anything at all. Hello, and welcome to the forum! I agree, the summer wave sounds really great so far.
  18. Bespin duel was a convention exclusive that was only released online due to COVID restrictions cancelling the convention. This is a set actually meant for consumer release.
  19. According to the excellent heir to the empire trilogy, they would be called commander Coodys, (Spoilers for that trilogy follow, I highly encourage reading it so don't open that spoiler unless you read them) But you're right, I made a mistake. It's actually a 1700 pc gunship, as well as The following figures: Rex, Cody, Vaughn, Doom, Thorn, Gree, Lock, Wolffe, Bly, and Bacara, each with 2 pilots, 2 airborne/flametrooper/ARC troopers, 1 AT-RT driver, and 20 clone troopers for each faction. They were a bit more about lego underestimating demand and then re-releasing (or more like resupplying) the sets shortly after retiring them, too. I'm thinking the dome, at least, will be altered somewhat.
  20. I don't think so. Even as a re-release, it would have the brick separator and have 2128 parts. Yes. True, although those were both pretty close to the original releases, and as ideas sets I feel like it's a bit different.
  21. HERESY! SACRILIGE! BLASHPEMY! The only thing that really matters is you're fine with it. Personally I just use official lego, but if you want to use non-lego ones, no one's going to break into your home and remove the fake lego. It'll definitely save you some money if you do so, too. Yeah, there are white baseplates. There's actually a way to combine plates and baseplates too, if you put tiles under the baseplates (or honestly just paper or something to get it more exact), they're roughly as high as plates.
  22. You fool! Clearly it'll be a 1700-piece minifigure scale gunship with 260 clone troopers! I'm optimistic about slave one, since I couldn't find the 2019 one for a good price I might end up getting this one if it's large enough. And that AT-AT is going to be a sight to behold...I'm wondering as how they'll do it, seeing as most larger mocs use glue.
  23. I only remember the freeze chamber because it's how I got boba (and it had a ton of trans-orange 1x2s for mustafar or sullust mocs). And yeah, the skiff is one of those that they make minor changes to and re-release every 5 years or so (2022 skiff incoming) Alright, clone wars seasons 4-7 time. Instead of making a SoM wishlist, I'm just going to link the one I made digital MOCS for the sets of last year here. (It was my first time doing a full wave of digital MOCS, so most are on the smaller side and aren't that good looking back) Clone wars (second half) wave:
  24. Yeah, I didn't really understand that either. I wasn't giving an opinion on it, just stating that the helmet didn't have red eyes, Of course we'll have to wait for better quality images, but from what I have seen that scout trooper helmet looks.... If you told me it was just a plastic replica helmet, I'd believe you for at least a few seconds. The stormtrooper helmet is pretty tough to replicate in lego due to the cylindrical shapes along the sides, and as such it didn't come out great, but the scout trooper helmet is not only more conducive to a lego replica, but they absolutely NAILED IT! Unless the better quality images show some serious flaws, this'll be the first helmet I pick up, and the first set in a while I'll get up early for to make sure it doesn't run out of stock. Only one guy has said this, he has no followers, and this is his only post. Add to that the fact that the next GWP is going to be a microscale tatooine, and I'm almost 100% sure it's fake.
  25. I'm not saying it's bad that he doesn't have them or anything, just pointing it out...
