  1. Ok, but you can see how that's not much compared to it's appearance in episode two, right? What's more, they clearly showed in the vote articles that it'd be based off attack of the clones, the film that the ship is most well-known for appearing in. During the fan vote you could write in a figure and they would take that into consideration for the figures in the set, so it's speculation that p2 cody may have one (bob was another likely candidate). So there's literally no evidence the set would ever be based off rots. I'm assuming that MandR's video was just him putting them in the thumbnail for clickbait.
  2. I could totally see this, but only if/when it gets a show or movie (I think acolyte is set in the era, but not part of the main story), since lego seems to be getting more and more apprehensive about content that's not live action. (Heck, we don't even get sets for AAA games anymore). A Vector or longbeam would be pretty cool. And geez, just give it an animated series already! I haven't read light of the jedi yet but i've heard good things. Here's a wave based less on what lego would really do and more so just on a wave to absolutely nuke my wallet. Microfighters: Slave one ($9.99): Boba Fett Cloud car ($9.99): Cloud car pilot Rey's speeder v luggabeast ($19.99): Rey (mask), bb-8, Teedo. Battle packs: Clone specialists ($14.99): 2x clone commando, clone jet trooper (battlefront 2 red skin), ARC trooper (battlefront 2 default p2 skin). Build is an E-web and a barricade. Final order commandos ($14.99): 2x sith trooper, 2x sovereign protector. Build is a small sith shrine. Duel: Duel on Zeffo ($19.99): Zeffo ruins build with Cal (default skin, comes with bracca poncho), Second Sister, and a BD-1 made the same way they made D-0. Other sets: Imperial strike team ($29.99): 501st style, comes with a speeder bike and a turbolaser tower. Figures are 3x stormtrooper (one with a commander pauldron), 1x scout trooper, and 2x kx-series battle droid. Vector starfighter ($39.99): vector starfighter with sskeer, burryaga agaburry, machiron ro, and a nihil soldier. Wheel Bike Chase ($39.99): Grievous's wheel bike and a brick-build boga with Obi-Wan, Grievous (cape), p2 commander cody, and 2x IG-100 magnaguard. Exogol ($59.99): Sith throne, omnic harness, experiment area with the jar of snokes, and area where Ben fights the KoR. Comes with Ben Solo, Rey Skywalker, Palpatine (omnic harness), Palpatine (eternal), Trudgen, and Vicrul. Mon Cala Cruiser ($159.99): Huge Mon Cala MC-85 star cruiser with interior bridge, briefing room, microscale hanger, armory, and medbay. Comes with Admiral Ackbar, 2x mon cala technician, Mon Mothma, Crix madine, 2x rebel fleet trooper, 1x rebel fleet captain, General Lando, Wedge Antilles, and Luke Skywalker. Helmets: Rebel pilot helmet ($69.99): rebel pilot helmet (transparent visor) with extra parts to apply different designs, including luke, biggs, wedge, and dak. Clone p2 helmet ($69.99): Clone trooper helmet with extra parts for different legions, including 501st, 212th, coruscant guard, and the 332nd. The mandalorian's helmet ($59.99): The mandalorian's helmet, built similarly to boba fett's. UCS/MBS: MBS Pentaki ($349.99): Huge geonosis stadium stands in a semicircle with the balcony/gate build, three pillars, buildable reek, acklay, nexu, orray, and a midiscale 300-ish piece gunship. Comes with Padme, Anakin, Obi-wan, Yoda, Mace Windu, Coleman Trebor, 4x p1 clone trooper, 2x p1 clone pilot, clone captain, clone commander, count dooku, nute gunrey, jango fett, 4x geonosian, poggle the lesser, 4x geonosian battle droid, and 2x geonosian super battle droid.
  3. Why? The set is based on it's appearance in the battle of geonosis, and the clones didn't have legion-specific colors yet (and were p1). I'm still calling that it'll be a clone pilot or two and a shiny clone trooper, with arm printing and maybe a new pilot helmet mold. Even if they aren't, lego's been very clear the set is based on attack of the clones. Especially as a "fan-vote" figure, which is the only way he'd get in since it's an AOTC set. IMO the fan vote would be best used on a figure we'll never get again in a normal set, not one that should be able to fit into any clone or separatist set based on clone wars.
  4. I don't own one, but seeing as no one's yet answered I'll give it a shot. If I understand correctly, you're looking for the width needed where you could put the star destroyer on the shelf and not have the stand hang off. You should be able to find this by finding the distance from side of the star destroyer to the opposite side of the stand. I don't have the energy to open the digital instructions and look through, but if you find the width of the stand in studs you can transfer that to cm and do this: width (stand) /2 + width (star destroyer (66)) /2 = stand width/2 + 33cm.
  5. Alright, well since we're making the bad decision to argue over a fake list and I've got nothing better to do at this point, let's bring in some evidence. Looking on brickset, out of the sets are primarily of a vehicle or something that at least could be considered to have a "pilot", the sets containing figures (every one since like 2013) are as such: 5 without the pilot: Imperial shuttle (imperial officer is included, but not wearing the correct uniform to be a pilot), Obi-wan's starfighter (obi wan's astromech is included), X-wing (r2 included), b-wing, super star destroyer. Note that the most recent of these was in 2013. 9 with the pilot(s) (11 if you include the death stars, which need a pilot of some sort that would assumably be one of the officers or gunner): Millenium falcon 2007 (han and chewie), Sandcrawler (jawas), Slave one (boba fett), Tie fighter (TIE pilot), Snowspeeder (multiple snowspeeder pilots), millennium falcon 2017 (han and chewie), Y-wing (y-wing pilot and astromech), ISD (imperial crew, closest thing a star destroyer has to a pilot), A-wing starfighter (A-wing pilot). One thing is immediately clear: Every UCS set since 2013 that was a model of a vehicle came with it's pilot(s). You might argue the specifics, maybe that the sandcrawler shouldn't count, or that the millenium falcon should only count once and not one for each model, but from that one fact of every UCS set in the last 8 years that could have a pilot has it's pilot, I think it's obvious the gunship will. The OP says a sentence later that it's actually fake. Also, if you go to the source and read through, it's very fake. They claim the top selling themes of 2020 included "lego brains" and nexo knights
  6. There wouldn't be a UCS gunship without a pilot, I highly doubt this. What's the account that "leaked" it, I haven't seen this anywhere and it sounds sketchy. Almost every UCS set that included figures has included the pilot of the craft that's the set. If there's no pilot required for play value, no figures are required for play value, and wouldn't most people want to display the gunship with the correct pilot? As more of a general reminder to people: While this leak is probably fake, I think it's important for people to remember that as a UCS set this thing will probably have like 2-3 figures, so don't go around expecting 2224 clone troopers.
  7. You have no idea how much you've just helped me, I've been struggling to finish my playscale model of that dropship, mind if I use your design for the roof? Another great build is always, the mortar stormtrooper is very nice as well, I like his pauldron.
  8. It really is a great set, the value is pretty good at $30 too. I think his helmet could have used a bit of printing for the detailing above the visor but it's not necessary given how good the rest of the figure is
  9. At first glance I thought it was a UCS set, not a midi scale, that's how well you've captured the look of this ship.
  10. True, but so did every single helmeted FO and imperial trooper during that timespan. It's certainly possible, but I wouldn't count out a new print just yet. That would be a nice addition. If they don't update it, Cassian Andor's head works really well, especially with ROTS Anakin's hair in dark brown.
  11. Unfortunately it seems he hasn't visited in months, and the original creator hasn't visited in over a year, so at this point your best bet might be to reverse-engineer it from the images.
  12. Wait, this doesn't compute. It involves sequels, and I thought that according to this forum for a set to be good it had to be a prequel set. In actuality I could see them doing this, and it does seem like they've been listening to the fans recently. Everyone complained about the x-wing and tie being overpriced in jan 2020, 2021 has a new x-wing and tie each at almost half the price. Everyone complained that there weren't enough clone wars and mando sets: the next wave seems to be almost exclusively comprised of clone wars and mando sets. He'll either get a new face print with the same skin tone or the exact same head as the 501st trooper.
  13. Saxon definately needs a new mold, but I think it's more likely they'd create a special mold for him than a new helmet for all mandos. Some of the mandos with smaller horns could likely work with just printed horns, though I do like @Pedilego's idea as well. I like this idea, though I think unless the armorer and mandalorians are going to be in sets soon we'll just get a special mold for saxon that's part plastic and part rubber.
  14. I understand why people would be upset that it's exclusive to a specific area but i don't understand how they'd prefer no one get the set than some people get the set. That's what confuses me, the "If i can't have it no one can" mentality.
  15. You may not have heard, but there was this thing called covid that messed up the supply chain for awhile . It really is just covid, of course. Both the direct impact of the virus causing their factories to shut down or lower productivity and the indirect impact of millions of parents buying legos for their children so they can have something to do while stuck at home.
  16. Exactly. Eh, it's for 4-6 year olds, they just want a spaceship and the funny orange and white ball. The 4+ sets have never been a great standard of quality. You'd have preferred them to just not release the set, so no one could get it? I don't see the upside of that, I do own a copy so I may be biased but I think some people getting it seems objectively better than no one getting it. Minifigure count is not some universal metric of value. By that measure, the Razor Crest was super overpriced and a single 501st set would have more value than it. You have to take into account that this is a ship almost as large and detailed as the previous version, but $20 cheaper even before accounting for inflation. Having the figure count dip from 5 to 3 seems a reasonable trade off for it to be $20 cheaper. ($27.18 once you account for inflation).
  17. I assume it has something to do with the cost of the set, as arm printing is likely pretty expensive compared to other prints (since it's on smaller, heavily curved parts as opposed to a normal cylinder or flat surface like most prints). Therefore, they'd want to use it sparingly, so it makes sense it'd only be in the most expensive sets and 18+ sets.
  18. I'm pretty sure it's $80. There are definitely updates they could make to the ESB figure, though. For one thing, his jetpack is blue with some gold print, so it would make sense for them to include a blue jetpack instead of a sand green one. It's not necessary, but it would be added incentive for people to buy the set.
  19. I might do a similar thing (except I likely will also get the ITT and bricklink a few of the figures), it depends on whether or not I can hunt down the 20th anniversary slave one and how good the R2 looks. See below MandR has always struck me as a spoiled, entitled person who takes advantage of his younger audience to get what he wants.
  20. I'm not 100% on any of them, as we haven't seen what they look like yet and since there's no battlepacks it's not like i'd buy them only for the figures, but currently I'm probably going to get the trexler marauder and meditation chamber, possibly bricklinking Bo-Katan, Fennec, Gideon, and the (hopefully) updated cara depending on their prices. I thought the scaling down was good for the x-wing and tie, as they were starting to get prohibitivly expensive (seriously, almost $100 for a system x-wing is too much). But the slave one isn't a ship that I see working well at the same size as the 2021 x-wing, in-universe it's a similar size to the millenium falcon or lambda shuttle, at $50 this thing is going to be waay too small.
  21. I agree. No way they make the only BP of the year a store exclusive. I don't want to speculate on the contents of this set since every time there's speculation on this forum it turns into rumors and then instagram "leaks" (example: death star as the 2hy d2c.). On the other hand, it's already happening, so... I guess a snowspeeder is a good option, seeing as it is sort of a staple set, not currently in stock, and definitely in need of a remake (that canopy does not work). The OT and ST don't have many sets this wave, depending on whether you count mando as OT or it's own thing, so it's most likely from one of those trilogies.
  22. Ok, cool. Huh. Thanks for the info. Before we spend three pages debating the contents of this supposed $30 501st-style set, where/how was this leaked? I remember there's an unknown $30 set but I haven't seen any leak saying that it's a battle pack type set.
  23. Huh. One I saw said it was Mando, Gideon, Bo-Katan, Grogu, and a pair of Dark Trooper droids, like the one @TeddytheSpoon mentioned.
  24. The figure list is kind of spotty (at least the one I saw) what with bo-katan being somewhere in the wave but not attributed to a specific set, the arquitens having unknown figures, or the slave one only having boba and han akin to the x-wing supposedly only having luke and r2 when the list first leaked. I'm not saying he's not there, and you're right, logically he should be, I'm just saying that I don't know for sure if he is included. I mean, most parents aren't going to shell out $120 lightly, especially with cheaper options available. What I'm saying is that having an option at such a radically cheaper price point means that the sales should go up, since kids just want a slave one and a boba fett and $50 is a lot more affordable than $120 no matter who's buying it. Yeah, I'm sure lego's spent more time and energy on this than any of us, I was just responding to when you said by trying to provide a rationale for why lego would make it.
  25. Welcome to eurobricks! I'm not sure I understand your question entirely. I would suggest not using aliexpress to purchase minifigs, as most "lego" listings on the site are fake.
