  1. How long do you guys think this crisis will last? I've heard reports saying that it may last for the entirety of 2020. If that's the case, than it's going to be a very hard year for LEGO...
  2. I have the exact same problem. I barely use my minifigures, yet their arms tend to get very loose after a very short period of time. Same with hair-pieces/hats. The connection stud starts to loose its grip after a while.
  3. Ninjago has lasted for almost 10 years at this point, and there is no sign of it going away any time soon. However, the theme can't last forever without getting repetitive or loosing sales (which some may argue that has already happened with the theme). When do you think the line should naturally end, and what do you think would be good way end it? And after it ends, what do you think would be a good replacement for it?
  4. I agree, most of those licensed counterparts were usually just one-and-done themes that were made just to coincide with the release of a new movie within those franchises, and most of the sets released were focused on the new movie instead of the more important movies. No wonder they felt so incomplete.
  5. The Ninja having Knight Suits is a kinda stupid idea to me. I would much rather have LEGO dedicate new themes to each concept instead of dumping all their ideas into Ninjago. The villains are cool though.
  6. Wasn't it supposed to be in May?
  7. What exactly are those technical and quality reasons that prevent Chrome from returning?
  8. Throughout the history of LEGO, we've had a lot of different colors that aren't produced anymore today... Chrome, Sand Purple, Sand Red, just to name a few. So, I was wondering, what discontinued colors would you like to see return? We already had the return of Teal a few years ago (which is now used quite a lot in the current sets), so some of those older discontinued colors returning isn't impossible.
  9. So that means the Helmet (which we have already seen) is the only thing that's actually from Monkey Kid?
  10. @Falconfan1414 Do you happen to know anything about the current status of Monkey Kid? Now that it has been confirmed that Leaf is actually Mario, there aren't any set numbers left for Monkey Kid, although we know that the theme is real. Will it still release this summer, or is it actually a 2021 theme?
  11. I think a good way to make sure such a change isn't met with backlash would be to slowly transition to a new Ninja team instead of suddenly changing everything. Like, maybe have a season or two focused on the Ninja training the new generation while still being the main characters, and only change the teams after the new generation has been developed well enough. And even after the teams have been switched, you can still keep the original Ninja around as side characters. That would be an ideal way to reboot the Ninjago story in my opinion.
  12. It doesn't seem like so. From my understanding, Greg Farshtey is the only person currently working for LEGO that still cares about Bionicle, and as long as we have his approval (which we have) we can host this contests without any problem. After all, those contests are just about giving a canon appearance to characters that never got one, and nothing is added or changed about the Bionicle Lore. If you are interested in discussing this topic further, I'd recommend doing so on the TTV Message Boards, because there are a lot more active Bionicle fans there than there are here: https://board.ttvchannel.com/t/poll-bionicle-g1-canonization-contests/51213
  13. The Brick Bot, definitely not. There is nothing about it that makes me think it's Constraction. The Iron Giant... maybe. I can see it uses a few CCBS pieces although it's mostly system. I personally think this Thread should be used for Projects that are either Bionicle related, or are built using mostly CCBS. I personally don't count Figures that are built entirely out of System as Constraction.
  14. I don't think they really failed... There were two waves of them, after all.
  15. This is awesome! I really love the skull, it looks fantastic. I really hope it reaches 10.000 supporters!
  16. No, it was not. In the original series (Generation 1) there were new Hero teams introduced every 2 years or so, which helped a lot in keeping the story fresh with new characters. I feel like Ninjago could benefit a lot from something like this.
  17. I usually just design the whole thing in my head and start building with whatever parts I've got. If my MOC could benefit from using a part which I don't own, I go to Bricklink and try to get that specific part as soon as possible. Or, in other cases, when I buy a set because it has interesting parts, I often times design the whole MOC around those parts which I found interesting.
  18. I feel like that would be a pretty good way to reboot the story, while at the same time being tied to everything that has happened before. This is the exact same thing Bionicle did, and I feel like Ninjago could very easily do the same.
  19. So, now that we know that Leaf and the sets attributed to it are from Mario, does that mean we should dismiss the idea of Monkey Kid being a Big Bang theme?
  20. I can see this being the begging of another experimantal era simialr to the one from the early 2000's. We already had sets that tried to integarte digital and physical play before, but I feel like this line is taking it to a whole new level. I wouldn't be surpirsed if simialr sets will also be released for other themes in the near future. The Mario figure has a Bluetooth button on it's back, which indicates that there will indeed be some sort of App tie-in.
  21. I don't understand why so many people are still excited for this line. Those figures don't even really look like LEGO, and this whole gimmick will probably be tied to some app game or something (the Mario figure seemed to have a Bluetooth button or something similar on it's back) which will make the figure completely useless as soon as the game or whatever it's tied to gets retired. To be honest, I don't think this was a good decision by LEGO in the long term. Instead of just making some traditional sets like everyone wanted, they decided to pursue this corny innovation which I highly doubt will pay off. And let's not forget, corny innovations is what almost bankrupted them in the early 2000's and that happening again isn't unlikely.
  22. With those weird Super Mario sets coming up, I am now 100% convinced that LEGO has indeed entered in it's 2nd experimental era.
  23. This is super weird... I don't know how I feel about this line being so gimmicky.... For those who were excited about this line, you'd better keep your hopes down. From what this video showed us, those aren't going to be traditional LEGO sets.
  24. I am personally more of a MOCer. Following instructions isn't really my taste, and I often find it quite irritating (especially If I am building a larger set). That's why most of the used sets I buy are usually pre-built when they arrive. However, as much as I don't really enjoy building huge sets, building smaller sets that don't take a lot of time are always fun.
  25. So... That means Monkey Kid isn't coming this summer, and we are getting Mario instead? Oh boy... It seems like we are up for a long wait until we will finally know what Monkey Kid is...
