  1. Saying that we "never" had a action theme that isn't 90% vehicles isn't exactly true. Pharaoh's Quest, Adventurers, Monster Fighters, even Hidden Side are examples of location-based themes. LEGO does do location-based themes from time to time, but yeah, unfortunately vehicles seem to dominate action themes at this point.
  2. We don't have any official information, but we still have the Knock-off sets. The official sets will most likely be very similar.
  3. It is indeed a location-based theme (there is only one vehicle set in the whole wave). IMO, this is a lot better than Ninajgo. If the official LEGO sets are going to look like that, then I'll probably buy most of the sets. What's so terrible about them, anyway? Even if you dislike it for being a "Ninjago Clone" you still have to give it credit for all those great parts that are included.
  4. Wow! That's super useful! I see a lot of potential for Micro-Scale builds using this technique!
  5. So... That means LEGO is now copying from LEGO-Clone brands? Or did the Clone brand know about this theme already and made the copycat sets in advance? Anyway, I am not going to lie, those Clone sets look amazing. If Monkey Kid will look something like that, then I am super excited!
  6. There was also a 4Chan leak that claimed it was going to be a constraction theme (and more specifically, it claimed that it was going to be similar to the unreleased Cybots line from 1995) but at this point, we can be fairly certain that it was fake. Most likely someone just made it up, without having any actual information about the theme.
  7. The back of the ship looks a bit too tall and the set as a whole looks kinda small for it's 100$ price tag... But i'm still quite excited for it. I am really glad LEGO Creator finally does something new and interesting. Maybe we'll get even more Pirates or Castle sets under the Creator line in the future, who knows....
  8. @Ninja_whip You said you have a friend that directly works at LEGO.... Do you happen to know anything about Monkie Kid/Leaf?
  9. Thanks! Can I get a link to your version? I would love to see it .
  10. Who said that? If Leaf/Monkie Kid will be a vehicle theme, wouldn't there be too much overlap with Ninjago?
  11. If you want to meet more Bionicle/Hero Factory fans, I'll suggest going to the TTV Message boards, since that's the place with the most fans. You'll meet plenty of them there, I assure you. As far as my favourite HF character, I'll definitely go with Furno. I definitely agree on that. While objectively speaking Bionicle is the better theme, HF still has more potential for varied subthemes, as you said.
  12. I personally am not against LEGO taking inspiration from other IP's as long as they add their own creative twist on it. After all, couldn't someone say the same thing about LEGO Adventurers by calling it a "Indiana Jones rip-off?" Though you can clearly see that LEGO took inspiration from Ghostbusters, Stranger Things and Scooby-Doo with this line, there are still enough original concepts to make it different from those three IP's. And to be fair, I would much rather have LEGO make their own themes inspired by a certain IP rather than just make licensed sets based on that IP.
  13. I assume those will be retail exclusives or something like that, therefore not being part of the main line-up. Both Chima and Nexo Knights also had four retail exclusive sets in their debut years.
  14. Hero Factory. It had a lot of untapped potential story-wise. The theme ended on a cliffhanger, so there is a lot of potential for a reboot if they continued the story from where it ended.
  15. The images are really blurred and I can's see a lot from them...
  16. On the contrary, I persoanlly find HS to be rather weak compared to MF. Out of the entire HS theme, the only sets I find attractive are the High School, the Stunt Plane, and the Lighthouse (and even those I would only be willing to buy if I find them at a good deal). With MF, on the other hand, I find all the sets attractive in their own right and I would be willing to buy them all, regardless of the price. So yeah, the overall aesthetic of MF is a lot more appealing to me than HS.
  17. @Harkonen The original rumor for this theme was that it's going to be a new Constraction theme, but the more recent rumors say that it's going to be a System theme. By any chance, will this theme have any Constraction sets mixed in with the System sets (kinda like with Legends of Chima)? Or will it be a fully System theme?
  18. Will that be similar to how Brickbeard's Bounty had a mermaid figurehead? Literally a mermaid minifigure attached to the bowsprit?
  19. @Harkonen Will Monkie Kid have any Spinjtzu-style gimmick sets?
  20. @Harkonen Will this theme have any Spinjitzu/Speedorz-type 10$ gimmick sets? If so, any idea of how they would be like?
  21. Wow... That's brilliant indeed. Speaking of which, I also used that part myself at some point: It works really well as a dress for brick built figures.
  22. I think we take out Monkie Kid (Leaf) off the table from being a constraction theme, since we pretty much know at this point that it's going to be a system theme. And with that... Here goes the last hope Constraction had...
  23. @zoth33 @sander1992 Thanks a lot for commenting!
  24. Not quite... What is it?
  25. No, that's not what we meant. We meant that we don't think LEGO would release two Asian-Inspired themes at the same time. I'm not saying LEGO could never do a Greek Mythology because they already did Pharaoh's Quest, what I'm saying is that I don't expect two see two themes like that running at the same time as each other, because there would be too much competition.
