CP: OP-Valiant Sweep - SATSOK - BANDAUD
marvelBoy123 replied to SATSOK's topic in The Great Brick War
Nice, there is a lot going on, but I think you put it together well. The interior of the building is nice and I like the skylights. Just a question, on the larger vehicle, is the main weapon supposed to be a flame thrower? If not, what is the cable going in meant to symbolise? Good job altogether! -

Limited Time Challenge! [Updated for June]
marvelBoy123 replied to MKJoshA's topic in Factions Archive
Sorry, I've messed up with the build submittal, my latest build on Deysum is actually a 2x challenge as I had the opportunity to add an ugly, however I originally filled it out as a free build. It is intended to be, and fits the criteria of the challenge so could you please ignore my mistake when it comes to scoring. Sorry! -

Sure, I'll repost the pictures tomorrow in the original colours - I just didn't know if it was too much! I believe the head is an old lucius malfoy figure's reverse death eater head. -
[GBW] - Supporting the War Effort - Alsarh - The Souq

Mission File : Mission Complete We took her for questioning and searched her store. Seems like she's a supporter of the GLA and we found that she was storing weapons too. These people seem to be everywhere. It's time we put a stop to this threat before it grows any larger. -
*Your entry has earned 5 XP (x2 for limited challenge)* Farantros narrative: Back to Deysum of all places. After my recent work on Rishi and helping to secure Castell, I have gained quite a reputation. I received a holo transmission from the Crimson Duchess herself along with a new set of crimson armour. I was sent back to Deysum to meet an important Triumvirate intelligence operator to discuss our future involvement in the system as well as the problem of Deysum being removed as Trax sector capital. I met him at an old mining facility out in the wastelands. Devaronians are luckily immune to toxins so I was fine to breathe in the toxic environment. The operator I met may strangely be the only other man in the Triumvirate who could survive in those conditions. If you could call him a man... Gable Karius is a mysterious figure. He worked under Vader for a time on Mustafar but 'died' in a tragic accident with a force sensitive. They dragged his body from the wreck of his tie fighter and fixed him up with some more parts - a hook for a hand and a new full face mask. It was done on Vader's orders apparently, so that he could then be punished for his failure and that is where the metal leg comes from I hear. He really did learn from his saying 'do not anger Vader'. What happened to him from then is classified, but I know he joined the Triumvirate from it's beginning and has been working in Intelligence ever since. He is a useful man to know I am told and may be vital to me moving up the ranks at some point, but for now it was just Triumvirate business. http://Do not Anger Vader: Deysum by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://Gable Karius by marvelBoy123, on Flickr Our meeting complete, Karius left in his ship - an ugly, a mash of an AT-ST and a tie fighter http://AT-ST ugly by marvelBoy123, on Flickr Karius is featured in Vader Immortal (which if you ever get the chance to try it is an awesome game). https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Gable_Karius I've tried experimenting a lot more with snot landscaping here - it is featured on the sides and also helps make the nice transition around the walkway. I'm also pretty pleased with the equipment on the left and of course the Karius figure - you will be seeing more of him! As ever I would love your feedback!

'Word spreads like wildfire, fail to contain it and you will be consumed...' Alsarh - Location: Classified - Mission Ongoing... Souqs are part of the culture of the Alsarhian people. Particularly along the coast in the areas once part of the colonial empire of Fulshako. Normally things are fine, now not so much. Our current threat is an unusual one, not a rogue nation's army or a terrorist group but a supposed clairvoyant. She has kept a stall in the souq for many years and used to just read palms and the like. But that changed a few weeks ago. She has become a scaremonger, frightening the people with talk of terrorist plots and the brickpocalypse. She is causing hysteria and damaging the governments efforts to take on terrorist threats. So we sent in a local group of soldiers. They are from the alkapba people, trained as warriors from birth. Hopefully this should serve as a lesson to others. http://GBW - Alsarh - The Souq by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://GBW - Alsarh - The Souq by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://GBW - Alsarh - The Souq by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://IMG_20200223_162918613-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr As ever, I can't emphasise enough how much your feedback means to me, I've come a long way this last year and hope to keep improving in the future!

*Your entry has earned 6 XP (x2 for limited challenge)* Carida has served as an imperial training world for decades. Every major environment that troops may have to fight in across the galaxy can be conveniently found on one world. After the fall of the empire it had been forgotten. There had been the hope of preserving it for an empire reborn and so evidence of the scale of imperial presence on the world had been destroyed. But a new triumvirate initiative of digitalising old imperial information to our new system had uncovered many plans of interest to our leadership and Carida was certainly one of them. We had moved fast on the planet, establishing control and recovering old imperial facilities. Now we were beginning tests and training. We had been testing weapons in the deserts of Carida for a few months already, and beginning to find a solution to our stormtrooper training problem and now we began training new pilots. It was crucial to the expansion and protection of the Triumvirate... http://The Ugly Duckling by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://The Ugly Duckling by marvelBoy123, on Flickr We had found some abandoned T-47s captured by the empire on the assault of Hoth and they were perfect as beginners vehicles. The pilots in question were already progressing well, they were now being taken out for a test in the 'ugly duckling', a T-47 modified by the addition of a y-wing engine. It helped to simulate flying with an imbalanced ship to the loss of or damage to an engine on one side. It was a difficult task but they were managing admirably - there was hope for a new generation of triumvirate aces.

[S15 - Scarif - TT] Scarif: Ugly Secrets
marvelBoy123 replied to Darth Bjorn's topic in Factions Archive
AWESOME! Your attention to detail is as ever phenomenal. I really like your ugly, still a mash up of two star fighters, but it doesn't feel messy or scrapped together. And of course, us using prisoners for mining, how very imperial ! Great job! -

Nice, you've captured the texture of the snow well and the ugly is nice, I especially like the idea of using the hamster ball as a base. Good Job! -

[MOC] Brick build Blurrg (Mandalorian Mount)

Really nice build! -
Simply exquisite! So many great details.

The rock work on this and the guard tower are very cool. I really think you've captured the idea of the prison well. I think the sand on top of the rocks might be a little flat especially considering how dramatically it has been gathered against the wall and maybe some spray on the sea would have been nice considering how remote it looks. The only other improvement I can see with this build is the trapdoor. Having visited a number of retired prisons, solitary confinement tends to be it's own block in a building. Even under brutal regimes, confinement is at least a properly build underground cellar which I think may have been a better option that still gave a similar effect.

Location: classified - somewhere along Alsarh's western coastline Alsarh was once a peaceful nation that remained neutral even when conflict erupted in the surrounding nations. However, the last year has tested the will of the Alsarhian people - faced by threats from the Walara Dominance State and now the global liberation army. We have had our ups and downs, tensions with our neighbours and destruction of our landmarks, yet we have also developed a strong alliance with the great nation of Plighia and managed to settle our differences with Bandaud. But that is the past and this is now... The Global Liberation Army is a threat to both Alsarh and the whole brick world. We are sharing intelligence collected on the group closely with our allies and neighbours, including Plighia, Bandaud and Nak-Hu. We believe that the insurgents are coming in along the coast with supplies and so we are increasing patrols of the area. Commander Belon's narrative: Another morning of patrolling the beaches, the sun is rising and we have already been out for one uneventful hour- but hang on there is something here, a small facility that isn't registered on our map, we'll have to check this one out... http://GBW - Alsarh - Patrolling the beach by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://GBW - Alsarh - Patrolling the beach by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://IMG_20200220_084056054-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr This has been a lot of fun to build and I hope that you enjoy it and as ever I would love your feedback!

(GBW) Phase 2 - Information & General Discussion
marvelBoy123 replied to TheBeeze's topic in The Great Brick War
Honestly, don't let your second reason make the choice for you. When I joined up almost exactly a year ago, I was pretty useless - just sticking plates on a board a couple of times a month in the hope of points. But I'd say you improve pretty rapidly - I'm still not great but a year ago I would never have been capable of doing half the builds I'm doing now. My advice would be to sign up, after all what's the worst that can happen?
