*Your entry has earned 6 XP* Farantros narrative: Well I was back on Deysum. Again. Karius had called me out to some facility in the wastelands. It was a strange place, weird shades of blue with polluted crystalline cacti and a toxic atmosphere. No wonder that Karius had chosen a Gand as his bodyguard - they were one of the few species that could easily survive out here. Anyway, onto the 'important mission'. I was to go on a hunting party across the planet with some bureaucrat, Lord Mayor of Klerint bla bla bla... Apparently this fella was a Neimoidian who had made his money with the collapse of the trade federation. He was filthy rich and had massive influence on the planet so was important to our control. I would have a week long excursion hunting some of the galaxies fiercest monsters and hopefully should things go well we would win him over to our side and by that point it wouldn't be long until Deysum fell into our hands. Seriously, they cut my vacation on Rishi short for this... Then I had to reach the topic of Charlie. Karius was not keen for her to have a job but after a little persuasion and a reminder of how he failed Vader, he relented. She could stay for the time being but that didn't mean that it was permanent. http://Factions : A meeting on Deysum by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://Factions : A meeting on Deysum by marvelBoy123, on Flickr

Yeah, there was a green skinned Devaronian on Lothal in the rebels series. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Cikatro_Vizago I've had it built a while to be honest, just posted the build before I scrapped it to get parts for a tank! -

We may have found something https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/176465-gla-hunt-marvelboy123-alsarh-14/ Ready for discussion tomorrow! -
“All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.” Map reference D4 Satellite operational. Prepare for third landscape scan. Specific focus points '8457526' '8654328'. Look out for enemy activity. High Res Photographic equipment ready. Begin Scan... Alsarh had launched an operational satellite many years ago, but it had not been activated at the time due to budgeting issues. Within days of the mission brief however we had got it ready. The first scan plotted the landscape, looking for natural geographical areas that would be suited to harbours. The second scan looked at boat patterns across a whole day, especially focusing on unregulated transport. Combining the information we found a few suitable areas and began more in-depth scans. The first location was a dead end, a small seasonal ferry dock with no supply warehouses. The second location looked promising though... http://IMG_20200324_180558329-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr Mission report: At least three individual, probably hostiles. Armed. Supplies, numerous : fuel, weaponry and other Facility, bunker : resistant to at least small arms, perhaps secure storage, defence system unknown Harbour, small : supply capabilities limited - only mainland to Bahn Puor, regular shipping - three trips daily? Suggested course of action : special forces infiltration and/or aerial assault and/or infiltrate shipping vessels - capture supplies and crew, harbour in Deland. Comments and Feedback greatly appreciated.

*Your entry has earned 3 XP* Farantros narrative: How I got to the place I am at now is a long story, but now we are safely at lightspeed I have a couple of hours to kill, so I'll start where I left off. I'd been crucial to the control of Castell and though the operation had run smoothly, I had an uneasy feeling. This was the closest I'd been back to Devaron in years and with good reason but I also knew that out here, so close to home, I was likely in danger. And I wasn't wrong... I'd been on the way to a shuttle on Castell when the shots rang out. Instinctively I dived for cover and got out the way in time, but one of my troopers hadn't been so lucky. Looking up I saw them, a group of five Devaronian mercenaries. They ran off, knowing that they had missed their opportunity. One of them however stayed, a rather attractive young female, who had dropped her weapon and surrendered. I knew why they had been sent but she told me that she didn't agree with the mission and wouldn't carry it out. Well, she was a fellow Devaronian outcast and I knew she wouldn't last long out here alone, so I offered her a job. Nothing major, just menial tasks really, but I could hardly leave her out there. Well as it happened, I was out on my way to the tropical islands of Rishi for a spot of relaxation and while my stormtroopers were good warriors, they were hardly great company so I took her along - if she was going to be working for me I needed to get to know her a little better. She was known on Devaron as special agent CHARLIE, one of the government's elite task force members and she already had some skills that might prove useful for the Triumvirate : fluency in multiple languages, extensive combat training and she was also a semi-professional surfer back on Devaron. Anyway, as I had given her a job, she offered me some surfing lessons, and I tell you the islands of Rishi are paradise and the perfect spot for surfing. By the end of the week, I dare say I was pretty good, catching a number of big waves. http://Factions : Relaxation on Rishi by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://Factions : Relaxation on Rishi by marvelBoy123, on Flickr Then there came in my new assignment, and it was off to Deysum for Charlie and I - Karius supposedly had some important task for me...

Seek & Destroy: A team building challenge 3/15 - 4/23
marvelBoy123 replied to TheBeeze's topic in The Great Brick War
I agree but if we can gather sufficient evidence of terrorists and Tosul refuses to act, we are willing to entertain the possibility of moving large volumes of troops into Tosul despite their threats. We will treat refusal to act as an endorsement of the message and actions of this group. I might be able to run recon over the area D4 if we had permission to use Lawrence Isle airbase, but again I believe that satellites are a more viable method for surveillance of hostile territory. (I could have the recon ready by Monday evening latest) -
Seek & Destroy: A team building challenge 3/15 - 4/23
marvelBoy123 replied to TheBeeze's topic in The Great Brick War
Our recon is fairly limited due to our weak navy, Alsarhian forces however are among the most experienced in anti terror operations having taken on the Walara dominance state, a BoN task force mission as well as Operation Hornet's Nest and Operation Valiant Sweep. We would aim to be involved in the elimination of hostile compounds and weaponry. Our armoured divisions are good, and with the right planning we could move in heavy vehicles to aid our efforts. We would also be willing to help with the conducting and funding of research for anti-terrorist uses! @SkeletonInATopHat any chance we could move our troops to Deland through Nak-Hu when the time is right? I also suggest that we perhaps move for satellite surveillance first - we will get a better picture of the scale of the operation and their equipment. If we send in a drone straight away there is the risk that it is shot down or at the very least discovered by the enemy - we can't risk losing the element of surprise, we are going to need every advantage we can get in the coming weeks! -

Very nice, the wing mirrors look like they maybe stick out a little too much but it is a good rendition of the car especially considering the complex shapes and dimensions. The functionality is as ever impressive! -
Limited Time Challenge! [Updated for June]
marvelBoy123 replied to MKJoshA's topic in Factions Archive
Sorry for that, hope that you can see from the new photo that it can be integrated. I don't mind if you still don't think that it counts for the 2x challenge, I'm happy for it to be a free build if you think that is more fitting - I will leave the decision up to the judges. I think that it depends on the challenge - it is a lot easier to incorporate figures than say starfighters, that is probably something to think about. -
[Q10 - Deysum - TT] Ugly consequences
marvelBoy123 replied to marvelBoy123's topic in Factions Archive
Sorry, I'd been wanting to build the AT-ST TIE, then didn't think I had time to do a build for it so tried to fit it in to this as Karius seemed like a character who might pilot an ugly. Although it wasn't originally in the scene, you can see that it is in scale, and could be part of the scene. It isn't as well integrated as I wanted (it looks better at an angle but is too heavy to be free-standing.) but you can hopefully see that it does work with the scene. http://IMG_20200303_183829295-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr Glad you like the landscaping though, the success of my experimentation with techniques on Rishi prompted me to branch out a bit so expect to see som gradually more complex techniques in the future! :) Sorry once again, I have no intention to cheat, just got caught out time wise with this one! -

NW Map : H2 - The Coastal forests and swamps of Alsarh Alsarhian intelligence officials have been working round the clock since the attack on the Brick of Nations, uncovering information about the GLA and their supporters. Finally a location was pinpointed, a small base in the dense forests of Alsarh in which they were storing supplies and sending propaganda transmissions to across the brick world. An Alkapba squadron was sent in supported by a WMC-5. While other nations opted for Humvees, Alsarh had developed their own heavily armoured multi-purpose SUV and this was the perfect opportunity to try it out. The assault was quick, their facility was a bunker in a rock face and, while they sent out a few troops, it was clear that they were out-gunned. http://GBW - Operation Valiant sweep by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://GBW - Operation Valiant sweep by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://GBW - Operation Valiant sweep by marvelBoy123, on Flickr Then we moved to take the bunker itself, the last of the rebels - and quite probably the leader - had remained inside during the firefight. He had destroyed what evidence of their activities he could, then had taken his own life in order to prevent us gaining information from him. Still, we had surprised them alright and there was still much evidence that we could gather, the mission had been a success but this was by no means the end... Wow, this has been months of work but it is finally here. There hasn't really been a singular focus to this, the functionality of the vehicle is something that I am pretty proud of, there is a lot of SNOT landscaping, plenty of vegetation and I'm even pretty pleased with the interior of the bunker too. In a sense though, this really is an entire years work because I have tried to combine the best features of many of my earlier builds as well as really trying to cover as much previous feedback as possible (the ground on this one does rise up in layers from the water unlike in the broken bridge ambush @TheBeeze ) as well as using what I have learnt from other non military mocs. I really hope you like this and PLEASE, feedback does mean a lot to me, it's the barrier to my improvement and in the next year if I could come on half as much as I have in the previous year, I would be really happy! Thanks,
