marvelBoy123 replied to Simulterious's topic in Factions Archive
Really nice build, good colour scheme and I think that you have captured zeltros well in both the architecture and the storyline. -
Nice Reek!

I must say, you have a real talent for integrating the different shapes of tile into your builds and this one is no a exception!

[M12 - Exodeen - TT] Clone recon mission

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the rubble floor below the building, you've really captured how uneven it is but it doesn't look blocky - great work. The rebar is also really nice.- 17 replies

So good, the rocket launcher, STAP and terrain are all brilliant. The rusted droid parts on the base are a nice touch too!

I've updated the picture, sorting the problem as much as possible. Anything with a gap now is an imperfect connection due to the building technique used. -
Operation: Island Rush - 5/14 - 7/26
marvelBoy123 replied to TheBeeze's topic in The Great Brick War
I think I'll give this one a miss, I want to focus on developing my country more and I don't think that I have the time to commit to something on this scale. Besides, people don't like their countries fighting expensive conflicts far away from home and that seems to be all Alsarh has done over the last year, maybe its time our forces took a break. -

Nice, I like the detail of the wires along the wall. -

Much better, nice build. That is a good action shot but it might be nice to see an overview to - it looks like there are lots of good details in the build but we can't see all of them in the photo, try maybe a few different angles etc -

I can't see the pictures (the link doesn't work). Try using the BB Code on flickr - that way you can see the pictures in the topic! Looking forward to seeing it. -
*Your entry has earned 5 XP* Karius' narrative: I was once an ordinary man you know. I came from a poor family in one of the roughest neighbourhoods on Coruscant, it was a hard life, but living like that makes you tough. As soon as I could I joined the republic as a junior technician in the fleet - I had no real interest in the republics aims but I dreamt of wealth and power. It was a mere matter of weeks after the Jedi betrayed the republic that it happened. As part of the newly formed galactic empire, I was onboard a Venator heading to Ota. We had just been diverted from our root, a imperial ship with slaves from Kashyyyk had been attacked by pirates over Uogo'cor and needed reinforcements. We arrived over the planet and the pirates realised that they could not win in any conventional space battle. Instead they sent a suicide ship filled to the brim with explosives into our venator. I passed out shortly afterwards but we were luckily in the upper atmosphere of the planet and therefore able to breathe. By some miracle a number of us survived, hanging on the scraps of metal that protected us from the heat and broke our fall. The result was myself (minus an arm) and a number of galactic marines were left stranded on the surface of a strange planet ruled by pirate gangs. http://Join Factions on Eurobricks! by marvelBoy123, on Flickr What followed was a long trek fighting off numerous attacks until we reached a location with the signal to send a message to imperial forces on Kashyyyk. Lucky I was with the galactic marines - one of the most elite clone legions, I know to this day that it is the only reason I survived. I got a significant promotion and a metal arm for my bravery though so I guess that it was worth it.

Agreed, I have almost no lavender - I didn't realise there were so many pieces in the colour. It makes a really nice landscape. Are you using the arms from the CMF viking on those clones?
-
Really nice build, your use of tiles is exceptional as ever!
-
Love the mouse droid and the yellow stripes are a nice touch!

Ok, I'll change the title and submit it as a freebuild. Sorry, I think I left it unsubmitted in order to make an update but then forgot to afterwards. It wouldn't have changed episode results anyway so it isn't a big deal. Done!
-
My mistake, I thought I had entered it through that sorry!

Sorry not sure if this build was judged but forgot to add the xp to the build topic or was missed from judging. http:// https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/176517-factions-ep-5-cat-a-q10-deysum-tt-the-hunt-begins/

Great job, I'm a massive Poirot fan and the build captures him really well.

Really nice, so many details everywhere, the walls, floor, table and chairs have clearly had a lot of time put into them and it really shows, great build!

I completely agree, I didn't have enough red plates to completely hide the snot bricks as I would have like to, but they do bug me. I've just got photoshop so hopefully I will be able to improve on the photo side of things, its never been my strength. As for the poster board, its actually a light box, I currently don't have the space or money for a good light setup so its the best I can do, sadly its only just able to fit a 32 x 32 baseplate so without photoshop you would always see the lines. As the weather gets better I'll try to photograph outside but the model was too fragile to move to much. Thanks for the feedback!
