General Part Discussion
Touc4nx replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I just noticed that the list of the part that will be aviable from Lego brick and pieces for the 42110 includes the wheels, the tyres and the olive green parts. EDIT: There are also the part for the 42100; it includes the new linear clutches, the 7*11 frames, and the longer actuator. However their price hurts... [MOC] The Ultimate Pickup
Touc4nx replied to Attika's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I always though that cars were made to roll on their wheels, not like that On a serious note, the cage is pretty resistant, considering it's lego parts. -
Gears-efficient gearbox

@Gray Gear You could do that: And you don't have to do it sideways, you can make it horizontal. -
General Part Discussion

From what I looked, this usage of the part was never made. I haven't found any model that used this side of the part to do a connection.- 5,506 replies

The full bodywork is done. However, the price is already pretty high, without the use of the black pins :

[TMC1] Modern Suv (8081 MOD)
Touc4nx replied to Touc4nx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm sorry but I won't be able to provide more pictures as I already scraped it. For me it was just a super quick build done between other project with my leftover parts. -
Probably, however I don't understand how this website works (And I'm kind of a purist, but that's an other discussion) I will have to try that the next time I do a brick link order. (However it won't be until a long time as I recently bought 8466) Thanks

The driver has an axle in the legs. It might be a bit dangerous -

It's been a long time without progress, as I had other things to do, however, I almost finished the car, it just need the rear seats. The bodywork is finished. (It's a bit dusty ) I tried to remove the visible blue pins as much as I can do, however I don't have enough of this part : so there is still some blue spot that I won't replace as these pins are pretty expensive if you want a lot of them. I also decorated the engine bay, as close as possible to the real one. I made a custom turbo-compressor that is on the left of the engine. On the right, the battery (the white block) is removable. I also made a dashboard. To make it look nice I had to use a lot of system parts, therefore the steering wheel isn't linked with the steering. I just need to make custom sticker for the gauges. Between the seats, there is a fake gear shifter and a fake handbrake. The metallic "radiator tile" (I don't now their real name) are supposed to look like the aerations. This project is almost finished, and I will make instructions using Stud.io. Hope you enjoy it, feel free to suggest me improvement or criticism.

[TMC]8081 6x6
Touc4nx replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It seems pretty interesting so far, I just don't understand how the second parallel axle is driven as there is no visible gear that are connected to it from the fake engine.- 20 replies

[MOC] LEGO TECHNIC AUDI RS7
Touc4nx replied to terryli's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I really like the bodywork of the car, you captured the shapes well. Despite the fact I don't like this livery, (even on the real car, for me it's feels like there is too much) it's, in my opinion a superb looking car. And as @Gray Gear said, I would also be glad to see the internal mechanism. -
Touc4nx's corp is proud to present you the remastered edition of 8081. This remastered edition include a totally new suspension setup, made of one rear live axle and independent front suspension with negative's caster angle. The springs orientation were kept as close as the original one. It means that the front spring ar mounted almost horizontally. The bodywork was modernized and has now a smoother look. Doors and trunk are openable. And the steering wheel is working. And Touc4nx's corp is glad to show you their last advertising :

Here are the first pictures of my mod. For now I remade the suspension, while keeping the horizontal springs on the front. I also added a negative caster angle. However, as it is now it causes a lot of bump steer. concerning the rear axle it’s just a pseudo live axle that keeps the orientation of the original springs. For now I haven’t touched the bodywork at all so please don’t mind about strange Colors.

AWD means that all wheels are always powered whereas 4WD means that you have the rear wheels always powered and if you have difficulties to go over an obstacle, you have to activate something to power every wheel. By the way, it's a great mod, it make me think that it's the young sister of 42069
