No, It's to have the correct piston movement as it's a boxer engine. It's probably better explained on wikipedia, I not good at explaining... Anyway it's basically like that: the right one is boxer, and the left one is flat engine.

After some time, It's update time ! I have made a new hood. I'm quite satisfied with it except for the 5x7 curved panels... but I haven't found any better solution. Sadly, for the bodywork to fit on the chassis I had to change the setup of the fake engine. It still looks out like a boxer 4 engine but it has two crankshafts... It's also a bit wider. I also work on the doors. I have a quite good setup. It allows the front door to be locked, and unlocked using the door handle. The rear door has no mechanism as there is no space due to the motor that activates the locking differential. That's it for today's update, hope you like it.

In my opinion, doing instruction is cool, even if I probably wouldn't build the car, as I don't have the parts, I will gladly look at the instructions just to see how it's made. It can always be useful to have new ideas.- 87 replies

Update time. I completely redesigned the front. There is still the upper radiator to make, with the logo, but I need to work on it. A good point in my opinion is that the whole bodywork will be removable. Here is the suspension in detail : it's a McPherson strut with drive, designed by Sheepo. That's it for today.

Nice job putting so much complex mechanism in a small build. I just have a recommendation : don't use 2L axle for the drive (the one in the motor), I did that once and I broke both the axle and the gears. -
It's going to be here, as I restarted the whole front bodywork because it was two stud too high. Also as an update, I changed the front suspension to a Mcpherson designed by Sheepo It's compact and strong, but it reduce a bit the travel. I think it's acceptable. it also allow me to push the servomotor two stud more to the front.

That's what technic should be in my opinion. Not only the look. -
That's true, and by doing some comparison between the real car and mine, I realized that the hood is too high, it should be two stud lower. So I'm searching for a way to do a smaller McPherson suspension. However I keep having a problem : the wheel and the wheel hub are pushed outside... So if anyone has a design for small McPherson suspension, I would gladly take it.

Is that independent suspension on front ? The space between the 9L black beam and the grey perpendicular connector seems to small for actual suspension arm. -
I understand your point, however I don't see how I can apply your advice as I need a chassis with at least working suspension and steering to design the bodywork, especially the wheel arches... And I almost always start a Moc with a list of functions I want in it. If I do the bodywork first, I'm scared not to be able to fit all mechanism. ( And bodywork is my weak point )

It's been a long time without any progress but today there is a lot. I made the hood and the front There is led light and you can open the hood ( I still have to make the engine better.) I also reinforced the gearbox as some gear were skipping under high torque. It's a bit messy with all the cables but now every motor is in place. It means that I can change speed, lock central differential, drive and steer the car. That's it for today.

It seems to be a reasonable guess as there is already some lifter existing in that color. Thanks for the info.- 5,507 replies

In the video at 6:46, does that mean it isn't classic orange like the corvette ? at 17:50, is that a new color for 8 axle ?- 5,507 replies
