This is a really wonderful model! Would be a beauty to see actually built in the brick!

Any US based members who were able to get an order in of the series 2 bandmates looking for a trade? I ordered the max of 12 figures and didn't get the 1 figure I was truly after - DJ Captain. So, I have any of the below figures to trade for the DJ Captain in brand new-in-polybag condition: 2x Alien Dancer 2x Discowgirl Guitarist 2x DJ Rasp-Beary 2x Vampire Bassist 1x Karaoke Mermaid 1x Slime Singer 1x Zombie Dancer I'll also buy the figure outright or entertain other offers if necessary. Thanks!

I somehow missed this before, but what an awesome design for a fort! I definitely supported!

Congrats @cjtonic that's quite an honor, especially for a debut MOC!

Very nicely done! I too like the integration between the building and the rocky landscape.

This is a really great upgrade to an otherwise "sucky" ship!

I haven't been posting frequent updates to here about my layout but I have been continuing to work on it over the past year and a half with the goal of having a huge (at least 6 feet of table space) Classic Pirates layout for our Bricks Cascade convention here in Oregon. These plans are finally starting to come to head as official theme planning for the convention (which is in March 2022) has begun. The plans for the display have continued to morph and grow over the months and I'm very excited to see all of this come together in a display that really shows off the awesomeness that is Classic Pirates!

I'm looking forward to seeing your progress in working with those hull pieces. I've always found their shaping to be quite interesting and full of potential. -
[OFFICIAL] "How to Be a Pirate" LEGO Little Golden Book
PxChris replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I pre-ordered a copy of the book as well! I have all of the Ladybird books as well as the Golden Medallion comic, so this was a no-brainer for me to add to the collection. -
This is really nicely done! Very worthy of hanging up and displaying proudly alongside the sets.

Anything Bluecoats related always gets my interest. This is a lovely ship with some great shaping and coloring! Interesting way to close up the ports on the hull pieces, I don't believe I've seen that done before.

I like it! It's a pretty great "framing" of the scene.

This is a pretty fun looking build overall. I'm not quite sure on the blue roof (I understand that you were going after the color scheme of 3739) but that's probably just my aesthetics personally. However... this is a highly suggestive pirate right here... naked yellow legs only wearing boots and holding a banana... hahaha

A very small but effective (IMHO) way to make a fire pit with rounded logs and the wood grain tiles (I love that piece).

That was a very, very enjoyable way to relive the building experience of PoBB! Well done!

The crew is so broke that the pirates can't even afford hats anymore!

Both the build and the story are absolutely wonderful! Your posts are always a delight to read and explore!

That's a good bug to catch!! I also caught the same bug and over the last year and a half was able to complete the entirety of the initial "Bluecoat era" (1989-91) waves of sets. So much joy and nostalgia there! While they certainly are less detailed than sets from today I still strongly feel that on the whole the early Pirates sets are some of the best that LEGO has ever made! I get no end of joy from them.

While my main love is the 1989-91 sets... I have always had a soft spot for this boat! So much so that I bought two.
