  1. Hahaha! It's not allowed = I'm picking it!
  2. 1) Arkham Asylum (Out of Spite) 2) Superman Vs Lex Luther (Best of the $20, with 3 unique figures and awesome robot mech) 2) Joker's Funhouse (Best of $20+ sets, just amazing)
  3. Blabalabala with Mpya Setdor! We all know Nocturnus is where it's at! Anyways, nice joust. I think it would work/look better if the whole build was wider, but either way the serfs are happy so that's good!
  4. I think it's just an assumed set since DC and Marvel all seem to have the same number of sets per wave.
  5. Tor-An does not wear the body armor, while Faora and Zod (In 2 of his 3 sets) do wear the armor with capes.
  6. A bit late, but here’s my list; though I have to say it’s a rough ranking and on any day I could like one more than the other! So without ado, in no particular order: War Machine My favorite of the “Iron Men” despite not actually being Iron Man. The greys look great on a minifigure, and I love the mini-gun. I also find the color refreshing compared to the legion of dark red Iron Men. Loki Loki seems to be showing up on the worst lists here, but I actually love him. I’m not a fan of the Bruce Wayne face (On him or anyone actually), but I love the giant helmet of compensation, and I think it’s a perfect look for a minifigure based of the trickster god. Wonder Woman A perfectly designed minifigure, which shows how well printing on figures can be. It is missing her bracelets, which are possible to print, but either way, she’s a great figure—and so far a set exclusive (Ergo; with my favorite Superhero set). Joker’s Henchmen Coco as I call him (If you’ve looked at Lego Batman on Flickr at all, you may have seen people call him that!) looks amazing! His jacket is great, and he has the best face which shows he loves his job! A great update of the Batman 1 Henchmen which I also love, but has the added pop which makes him look both like a henchmen from Tim Burton’s Batman as well as Joker’s #1 go-to guy. Lex Luthor (Regular/Armored) While I can’t agree on which one I like more, I can agree I love both of them. Suit Luthor is a spot on print of Animated Superman Lex, and Armored Luthor both reminds me of the Animated series armor and Super Friends. Iron Man Mark 6 (Circle) This is my favorite of the Iron Man suits, as it both looks classic and simple. I personally dislike the Iron Man suits more and more as they come out as I think they are too detailed, and cluttered with tons of tiny shapes with ugly chunks of gold. The original circle suit is simple and great, without trying to be flashy. Two-Face I’m sure I’m on record saying that I hated this, but after getting him and having him for a while my opinion on the figure has changed tenfold. I first thought the colors were garnish, but I soon found (With figure in hand), that I actually liked this classic look, though I think some changes should have been made to make it better—chiefly a different colored scar face, to make it stand out against the purple (In green would be best I think). This version is still behind my good old black and white one though (In large part because of sentimental value too). Joker I love the redesign of Joker, which definitely gives him the comic book look, though I feel he’s equal to the old version—so much so I’ll alternate between builds on which I want to use. Equally so, I also like the jumpsuit version of Joker, which is the spitting image of his appearance in Under the Red Hood film. General Zod While I cannot yet speak for his armored version, I do love the figure. He’s simple and his alternate expression is great. He seems put together very well, and his hair works perfectly here; where the same style has failed multiple times elsewhere though out the superheroes line so far. The Mandarin (Robed) I love this Mandarin figure, and like some other characters; I like them more over time. I like many was not a super fan of the hair, but his appearance here in minifigure form just brings so many possibilities that the movie failed to do. It’s also important to note that while I love the Robed version, I hate the sleeveless one, except for it’s awesome torso print of course.
  7. But Arkham is a Lego exclusive, and costs almost as much as the two Star Wars sets combined. I don't think those are any indication on whether or not Arkham would be expanded, as the sets are so different. Agreed, but I see as totally unlikely rather then possible. In addition, the two Star Wars sets could stand alone as a set, where as a new Arkham add on would just be a section of a building without all the major components it needs.
  8. Not at all. The pin hook up for Arkham is there so it can be arranged in various layouts, and while they could be used to add in new sections, I think it's very unlikely that Lego would be able to get people to spend more for some add on sections to an already expensive set.
  9. Better yet an under-dog story where Nocturnus surprises everyone and takes over all of Historica. That could work!
  10. Uuuh, Nocturnus is not doing well in the area of members. Even the second smallest guild has twice (+1) of the members we do. Oh well--I guess if I last long enough and people leave the Guild will be all mine!
  11. Of course! You know, but in Lego. Have to say, it's my best one yet! If only the 1st would come sooner!
  12. That's good to know that the small set palantir looks good under light, I've got my next micro Rings build on stand by waiting just for that piece now. I don't think it would be hard at all to mod the tower's palantir to hold the cooler looking one.
  13. While not the "Nocturnus" my peoples are use to seeing, it none the less looks great--and very large at that too! Good job!
  14. Thanks! Hahaha! Well think of it this way. The JL trophy room (Which this is based on with just a LOD take on it), is filled with tons of objects, many of them being from villains--which they defeated. The LOD never defeats the heroes, so they just have to fill the room with their own junk! (Or Something) Tis more like a glorified closet. Thanks! I knew you'd like the Penguin! And it's Cheetah's mask--not scalp--I use a classic Cheetah (With mask) design for my Legion/Collection. Thanks--and no, not live missles...I think...we'll get on that. Thanks everyone! ~Nemo
  15. Legion of Doom: Trophy Room Meanwhile in the Legion of Doom’s Trophy Room…nothing is happening. They’re closed on Sundays. I’ve been meaning to make this one for a long time, and finally, it’s been created. I needed more specific bricks then I have on hand in my dorm, but with it now being summer, I had the pieces necessary to make this baby! Oh do I love all the little details and especially all the reverences in here! First Floor The first floor is the largest section of the LOD’s Trophy Room, and features many objects used by the Legion members in their daily activities. These include things such as masks and ranged weapons to Yellow Lantern power batteries! Other notable objects included on the first floor are two missles, a frozen superhero, the last remaining piece of Brainiac, Vandal Savage’s meteorite, as well as Two-Face’s coin and a Freeze canister; and who could forget Joker’s crowbar, used to kill the second Robin! The first floor also features two large viewing boxes which contain classic suits and precious minerals such as Kryptonite. Raised First Floor Just behind the First Floor of the Trophy Room sits a raised section with more objects. This area features many more interesting things from a large Penguin statue to Ra’s al Ghul’s sword! Black Manta’s trident is present, as well as Amazo—the dangerous unbeatable android. A Yellow Lantern ring is also found here, along with an X-Ray image of Batman’s broken back. Finally, the Raised First Floor is home to a miniaturized replica of the miniaturized city of Kandor. Second Floor The Second Floor and final section of the LOD Trophy Room features some famous and not so famous artifacts! Here you can find one of Poison Ivy’s deadly plants as well as some of Scarecrow’s fear toxin—and let’s not forget about a Giant Joker Card! A Scarface dummy is here too—as well as Lex Luthor’s infamous wig collection! Grodd’s mind control helmet is here too, along with statues of a giant black dragon and a giant dime! Enjoy ~Nemo
  16. Great review! And you ended it with a funny! Personally I love this ship. And while I've only bought one small Friends set, this one really wants to be the second one I get. If only it was cheaper or Batman themed somehow. Anyways, I rather like how full it is, and I didn't expect to see such a furnished interior at all!
  17. Thanks Everyone! Thanks!--Yes it's another MOC up. I actually build pretty fast (Learned that from Flickr), but this is actually a larger scale then I'm generally use to. Scale is actually the thing I'm worried about most when building for GoH, since everyone here builds so large, something I'm not known for! Hopefully, I'll be getting enough experience (And bricks) to eventually make the Falcon's castle at the scale I want. Thanks! Yes it's not easy being from Nocturnus--there seems to be almost no one--so I guess I have to build and fill the gap! But just because we're small--doesn't mean we are not dangerous!
  18. Hag's Tavern Nocturnus Falcon Freebuild Hag’s Tavern; one of the darker spots of Port Wrath, that is if one considers some areas to be brighter than others. Having come to Port Wrath on their quest, the three Falcons, led by Sir Tercel, now come to Hag’s Tavern in search of allegiances… “Sir Tercel…this was a bad idea…we cannot trust the safety of the gold in a place like this! We’re more likely to be killed here then on the docks outside!” “Quite…Fendrel told me to come here…and you will do as he, and I, command.” Addressing the entire tavern now, Sir Tercel speaks aloud so all can here: “Tavern patrons! Listen! His lord Fendrel, and the Black Falcons of Nocturnus, are in search of troops and laborers. We ask now, that any willing able body persons, who take kindly to gold, come to us now…and join the blooming Flacon empire! Will anyone join us?!” From the dark smoke filled room comes a loud single reply; “What the hell is a Falcon?! I ain’t ever heard of one of them?!” More patrons scream in replies; “Their birds you idiot!” “Aren’t they the ones that got kicked out of Cedrica?!” “We left voluntarily, completely voluntary!” Tercel quickly interrupted back. “Do we have to wear stupid hats like you are wearing?” “I still don’t understand what a Falcon is!” Annoyed, Tercel screams out, “Ok! Well if anyone does want to join us, meet us outside—come on you two this was a waste of time, grab the chest and let’s go to the next tavern.” Enjoy ~Nemo
  19. It's mostly due to the changes they made. Honestly, I'm most likely going to drop that site for something else (Like brickshelf).
  20. Banner wise, how come we don't have a custom banner for the Historica subform itself? We should have a banner that's got four sections which represent the look of each guild. Like the Mafia form has a banner, and it's Heroica subform has it's own unique banner. A bit off topic, but I think we should make our own subform banner.
  21. Port Wrath Nocturnus Falcon Free Build The caravan was taken. All were killed. And to the Falcon’s surprise, their vengeance awarded gold; a large chest of darics being hauled by the Lions was now in possession of Fendrel. He ordered his top men, and his lieutenant Sir Tercel, to take the gold to Port Wrath and purchase subjects for war. Port Wrath; a disgusting harbor on the northern edge of the eastern guild; easily distinguishable by its blood red water, was never a haven to humans. While dismissed by many, it’s actually a major trade hub; at least for the cursed and dark evil creatures that live there. All sorts of monsters live within it or within the deep red waters that surround it. Ghost captains and crew sail in and out of harbor each day and night, though they never dock, as they only sail the waters for an eternity with no purpose. It is here the Falcons came to buy allegiances, and it is here that the monstrous Falcons seemed the most at home. Enjoy ~Nemo
  22. Thanks everyone! I'm happy you all like this one, since it's one of my personal favs! Sure. Both wheels of the chair are attached, and they are actually attached to two trans-clear 1x1 headlight bricks. It's a rare piece, and I got mine from the micro Lego store set they give away at Lego Store openings. I would have used that hair, but alas I don't have it. This was the best (Non-long) grey hair I have.
  23. Thanks everyone! I'm rather happy with how this came out so far, and I hope to finish the next section soon. I have to build it at a larger scale since they'll be at the town and I'm not sure how I want to do that just yet. Anyways, thanks--and I can't wait to make the rest of this story (Which by the way is a cautionary tale)!
  24. I think it would be a good idea--and a good way to get new members in, by showing off a new guild.
  25. This was asked not too long ago, and so here's the answer from ZCerberus:
