  1. The BARC Speeder is a Walmart exclusive, and the MHC is a Target exclusive. I'm not sure why you would have seen the MHC at Walmart, as that DCPI code wouldn't even be in their system.
  2. I honestly don't understand the criticism that the set features "too much black". Sure, if you're only planning on parting out the set then it's kind of a bummer. But as far as film accuracy goes, there's nothing else that would have been acceptable. Lego didn't even go so far as to make everything black, either, since there are some LBG elements that are visible on the structure.
  3. Why not just do what you want? I'm a little confused by your comments...
  4. We won't be seeing "Rebels" sets until summer 2014 at the very earliest, since the show doesn't premier until fall 2014. On that note, I'm afraid that 2014 will be the last year that we really see much representation from the current Episodes I-VI in Lego form. With the new trilogy (and now Rebels) on the horizon, I predict that those will mostly dominate the Lego assortment in 2015 and beyond.
  5. I'm beyond excited for the series, but I hope they abandon the "cartoony" faces for minifigures. It's doubtful, but we can always hope...
  6. Talk about fantastic news to wake up to on a Monday morning!! I'm incredibly excited for this series. I have no doubt that it will be of the utmost quality, too. The Clone Wars took 1-2 seasons to really hit its stride, so I expect "Rebels" to hit the ground running. Man, it's a great time to be a Star Wars fan!!
  7. The arena creatures wouldn't have made much sense in this set...Poggle's already a stretch.
  8. Yeah, I'll definitely be purchasing doubles of the Black Gate, Council of Elrond, and probably the Corsair ship (though I'll wait for a sale on that one).
  9. Ah, yeah you're correct. My guess is that it's an X-Wing. In the most recent Lego magazine, there was a contest to try and guess what it would be. It showed some random pieces that gave a "hint", which included R2's dome and the stickered 1x1 tile from 9493.
  10. Great news!!! Although that's 2 days after the free shipping promotion ends here in the U.S.
  11. I just noticed that there are 114 1x1 trans-light blue bricks in this...!
  12. Whoah! Why does the cool stuff always have to be so rare?!
  13. ^ You'll have to be more specific than that. What 'canonicity gap' or 'extreme differences' are you referring to?
  14. ^ There's still a chance he'll jump on board for a future Star Wars film. That's what I'm hoping for.
  15. This set is definitely on my must-buy list. I've been anxiously awaiting a new non-CW Yoda minifig, and this one is pretty good!
  16. ^ This. I was half expecting them to go that route, and I'm glad they didn't. Granted, I wouldn't have minded it if was a glow-in-the-dark skeleton body with armor and a new head print, but this method is far better.
  17. You might be thinking of this April Fool's joke from last year: http://www.brickset.com/news/article/?id=2887 I personally don't think Lego will ever release another minifigure-scale Millennium Falcon. If you factor in the increasing cost of Lego sets, we'd be looking at a $600+ Lego model...which is better than current secondary market prices, but if so many people already own 10179, I don't see demand being quite as high.
  18. July seems too far off. I just got a new issue of the Lego magazine, and there is a LotR fold-out featuring the new sets and minifigs. Makes sense that they'd be available June 1...
  19. It seems as though they're being sent to all U.S. orders. Two of my friends just got their packages, and the Chima starter sets were in there.
  20. ^ Perhaps an eventual re-release of the Millennium Falcon could be based on its appearance in the sequel trilogy, assuming it shows up in them of course. That way it would be a simple rehash for those that already own 10179, and folks that don't own it would have a chance to.
  21. Wow!! I know almost nothing about The Old Republic, but this set looks fantastic. Adding another one to the wanted list...
  22. ^ I don't see it that way at all. In fact, ever since they announced a release date of June 13, 2014, I thought it was way too soon to put out a quality film. This is good news in my eyes; as long as they're still committed to making the project happen, I'm fine with them taking a little extra time to polish things up.
  23. You should absolutely own the Death Star. If I could only keep one piece from my entire Lego collection (which is quite large), that would be the one.
  24. This is just incredible!! I can't wait to see the finished model!
  25. Bah! Same here. I have no doubt that they'll fill each and every order, though, so I don't mind waiting.
