This is like saying black coffee is my favourite form of Latte Machiato. Or white is my favourite kind of black. If that were true, every MOC would be a work of customization. Everyone who builds a MOC would be a customizer. Everyone who gives a fig a new hat -as intended by a construction toy like lego- would be a customizer. This would make the term customization meaningless. Purism is by Definition the exact opposite and complete lack of customization, this absence makes it 'pure'.

I think it is very difficult. A kickstarter campaign for custom figs has just failed a week ago. I know a few people who tried selling custom stuff, but they hardly make any profit. There are a few big players who dominate, capemadness, brickwarriors, brickarms and brickforge. These work because they have many products in a very good quality. A counter example might be what just happened with the custom LOTR helmets. They sold very well in the past days. Check out the minifig customization workshop forum here on Eurobricks.

Well, since there is no "real" castle (spare me the discussion about Nexo please) in the next months, castle-loving AFOLS will increasingly have to resort to other themes for their historic needs. Since there is a thread for the impact of CMF on historic, I figured it might make sense to have a wider thread for parts from all the other themes. Up to now, it has been common use to post this in the respective threads, now I suggest to collect that here, too. CMF can remain in the thread already existing. So let us see how this works out: Let me begin... New tall skeleton in Minecraft There is a new, quite tall black skeleton in the upcoming minecraft sets. A worthy addition to the abundance of skeletons already available. It is particularly the legs which are longer. New shield in Elves New shields can make new characters, regiments or even factions. This one is beige and gold with a red gem on it. New shield in DC licenced Wonderwoman has a new shield as well, it looks somewhat white and metallic.

Maybe we should have a thread for "the impact of non castle themes on castle" in general? There we could mention the new tall skeletons in Minecraft or the new shields in Elves.

That 4-Armed genie, is his shoulder armor a seperate piece or is it linked to the upper torso?

There is the 1x1 plate with tooth piece in pearl gold, that is new.

I felt an urge to start collecting a viking army. But I have so many projects planned that I cannot start a new army. Also I have gotten so used to printed legs that it is hard to accept figs without it.

They are using chewbaccas crossbow to shoot cookies for the dragons! This is madness!
