Love the shields. An interesting meshup of castle and scifi. I can imagine Warhammer 40k fans turning this into space marines with a little gothic flavour. I dont have much expertise in the history of Lego space, but it might be an unprecedented style which deserves credit.

From the perspective of a customizer, I think it is time to sharpen the scalpel.

[MOC] Truly Modular Castle Theme [WIP]
Wardancer replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Maybe a clip or a sideways stud in the wall piece could be useful to easily make different versions of the same wall. One could attach a torch, plants or flags so that each wall segment would look a tiny bit different. -

I think this is long overdue and I wish good luck with the project. I think a little more color could improve the gate. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion
Wardancer replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I did the rest of my shopping today when I found an untouched box.. 4 more gargoyles, 2 banshees and a wolf. The 4 gargoyle's bags were directly next to each other in the box, which was nice. Feeling the banshee got much easier when I realizes how big a footprint the footpiece actually has. The banshee's hands have a very beautiful color. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion

They are out in Germany. I bought 3 gargoyles, 1 plant monster and accidentally a fly monster which I had mistaken for another gargoyle. I only had access to about 40 bags, so that is not bad. I will wait for new boxes though, the ones I saw were almost empty already. The spectre seems to be hard to feel. I consider myself a very good feeler, but differentiating her weird whirly footpiece from all the strange headpieces in the series is difficult. I will need to try again. The gargoyle looks much better with long legs. -

As many Disney films are set in historical settings, a Disney line could be very good. -

Parts in never-released colours
Wardancer replied to Banjo's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I once suffered from this. So I became a customizer. Painting would be easy. There is also dyeing, which is complicated and only works with some color combinations. 3D Printing has to my Knowledge not yet yielded very good results, also it is expensive. Some parts exist in non official colors as prototypes or misprints, but that is rare. -
Considering the fact that the last years brought us half-frozen semi-undead sabertooth tigers and ghost ninjas, I believe everything will be possible. I have high hopes for new creatures and weapons.

How to make "signatures" in images?
Wardancer replied to Wardancer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hehe, I see why you think that. I am capable of using the text tool in images. But I do not mean pure text that is available as a font. I mean letters which include images and my own modifications, things like a letter with ears or leaves or a letter which looks like a sword. Ah, thanks. I did not know there were images with transparent backgrounds. I will try this. -
How to make "signatures" in images?
Wardancer replied to Wardancer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thank you! If you look at this example, you can see both a the name in letters and the face in the corner: https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/mcdenbesten/19017889631/ With the poor Knowledge I have I can only think about copy and paste. I can copy one picture into another, but that would uhmm also override the space between letters. -
Hello, many of the pro moccers insert "signatures", i.e. bannerlike logos and their names written in some exotic font in their images in order to mark them as "theirs". How can I do such a thing? Is there a tutorial or something? I do not even know how these things are called. Watermarks? I dont mean these pale imprints though. I am posting here, because I believe here is where the digital pros are. If you could point me in some direction I would be greatful as I have a big release coming up.

Hmm, I like that the new ears are a bit pointier. It looks a bit more difficult to customize, but I have always wanted more figs with wolf pelts over elven heads like my avatar, so I hope to find a way. I like that the whole series has so many very ideosyncratic parts that it will be extremely easy to use the feeling method for identifying them. -
Hmm, I do not like lava. Lava and... Knights? Nexo might just mean "next Generation" or nexus, which is a place where different things come together. A time travelling ecclectic thing? I guess I am not going to get horses in new colors.
