  1. Thanks a lot!!! (sorry for not answering before)
  2. I followed this build with extreme interest, because (at least for me) there's so much to learn from it. Small, smooth, practical - and that side hood panels are a masterpiece! Ciao! Davide
  3. Fantastic build! Beautiful color, great stickers - smooth build - immediately recognizable shape...in one word...flawless !!! Ciao! Davide
  4. Thanks for your kind words!!! Indeed the video has that effect "...is it arriving...or not?" , which was completely not planned - I turned the 500 on, and then started the video...but the straight track before the phone was a bit too long .I made another video, but this one gave more the idea of a slow, old thing wobbling on the rails - it had a Disneyan feeeling! The two guys pushing the railcar picture was the correct ending for mounting big Abarth cylinders whithout an increased air flow! It is what happened to me and my friend, putting an 80cc motor inside a "Piaggio Ciao" without any mechanical skill. The engine exploded after reaching an impressive 70 KM/h speed, with a spectacular white cloud. So we pushed it home, quite with the same mood! Thanks sir!!! Now, let's try to make it bigger (1:33 or 1:22,5)!!! I remember also "Fix It Again, Tony" - but I don't know if it is an UK or USA joke (FIAT was in South and tried North America market in the late 70s and first 80s - there's a Fiat 131 in a "Chips" episode, a Fiat X1/9 in "Silver Streak" movie , and lots of Fiat Regata, disguised as Japanese cars in "Gung-Ho"). All these poor cars with horrible "safety bumpers" of the time!!! To both, do not worry about joking - I am always ready to make noise and have a good laugh!!!
  5. Thank you! I was quite lucky since I found the right part in the right colors! Thanks Emanuele! I discovered the Li-Po batteries...and these have a great potential inside small vehicles!!!😍 Thank you! I think the main mess was fitting cables...but those CC motors are great and helped a lot!😀
  6. The full set is lovely, I like a lot the locomotive alone...but I'd say that the complete train is way more satisfying!
  7. I really like this locomotive, it gives the correct feeling of a workhorse!!! Nice music too!!! Ciao! Davide
  8. Hi all, since it's now published on Brick Model Railroader group, I can finally present also here in EuroBricks my second entry, this time in "MOW vehicle" section: You already know it from the WIP thread - it's a small little patchwork of two Fiat 600T/850T vans and a FIAT 500 499,5cc (21HP) motor. Here's the full story! And here's some bonus content!!! Presentation for Octrainber ends here , but there are some other photos: Transmission is on only one axle, as in the prototype, and it's using (again!!! ) the twisted rubber band transmission. The battery is a 200Mah Li-Po, connected to a small circuit in order to charge-discharge and manage the output to the motor. It can be recharged with an USB Adapter (in this case a serial to USB adapted I had at home). And two videos, showing the rubber band transmission and a small track with the 500 in action! https://www.flickr.com/photos/138174786@N04/51670350725/in/album-72157720126403108/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/138174786@N04/51673059120/in/album-72157720126403108/ I hope you like it! Ciao! Davide P.S. for reference! For more information, please refer to this site (it can be translated) https://scalaenne.wordpress.com/2017/07/29/draisina-fiat/ and to this video, showing a restoration of the Fiat 500 Draisina - which inspired the Giovanni and Giorgio story (Italian only, sorry, maybe it can work with subtitles) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7vwRs0Akkk&t=211s
  9. The more i see it, the more I like it!!! The internal details - the overall engineering (it's practical too!!!) , the great ability you have to show a detail with a simple part. Not to mention that trolley which seems so...correct and so...well made! Best luck in the contest, Sven! Ciao! Davide
  10. Great work, thanks for giving it a try, and for correcting those design flaws! I love to see it going around!!! Nice little wagons too!!!
  11. An original prototype and a fantastic Lego model!!! I love to see it in action...a bit left, a bit right....wheels down! Great work and great use of internal room to fit everything inside the body! Ciao! Davide
  12. @HoMa What I can say, if not thanks (multiplied by a million) to have built it and make it better! It's nice to see it going around!!! I am really really excited about this - and this is giving me the willing to go on with 12v++!!! Davide p.s. It's an heavy machine - I believe!!!
  13. Thanks Holger!!! I can only appreciate your thoughts - since you described my feelings as a kid perfectly! Thanks for your kind words!!! 12v++ is a nice description for these kind of MOCs!!! Let's create a proper Logo! After having tried the 3.7v Li-Po batteries I feel there could be also a new era for 4,5v trains! Long live 4,5v++ !!! Take your time, I'm still understanding how to set that damn clock on my VHS tape recorder.
  14. I'm really glad that you also like these little machines - wonderful examples of simple yet genial ideas. In my opinion your version of this Critter combines simplicity with main details in the right place - and this is great! Ciaaaaaao! Davide
  15. I love it!!! It's unbelievable how we're again on the same "line" - this little thing was one of my first entries here in the forum (I made the Italian Badoni version FS.207 in green). The "sole fish" (we call it this way in Italy) is my favourite rail vehicle! Great work , sir! Davide
  16. Strange locomotive, but very very fascinating! Great progress!!!
  17. And this is a real present!!! I'm sincerely honored to see it built by you . It's really massive - from renders it is not showing up so much - and gives the right feeling of "beast"! For the cylinders - since I thought it could be a "weekend task" , I did not prepare the render of the front bogie yesterday - I fell literally asleep! Here it is: Simple and straight - in reality the small space between cylinders was made to include black heads instead of round bricks for the lower cylinders. It was however quite tricky to use heads, since they were hitting the bogie ,and including the ladder could have been to tricky. So I kept the small cylinders and the gap - your solution is indeed nicer and better good looking! The radiator is tricky, but the proposal to use jumpers can give it a more "grilled" style. Maybe they could be a little too large - it's something to be tried. My mind immediately thought about 1x1 plates - but it can surely be done in an alternate way (possibly cheaper!!! ) . There's a little horn near the small window!!! I did not spot it - it could be the opportunity to use the "megaphone" part from the 80s!!! Thanks Holger for building this monster, and also thanks for support also to all the memebers I did not answer to before! @Hod Carrier , @ColletArrow @zephyr1934, @Toastie @XG BC CIAO! Davide
  18. Eh, yes - it was something I did not consider, since the first version was not designed for lights. In the BR78 I'm using the short side outlet and then turning immediately the cable upwards into the chassis - and it works nicely - but the upper outlet is an interesting thing! Regarding black windows - I had a bad thought...and began to think that, all in all, these are MOCs and not real LEGO rarities like 7750s and 7730s. So maybe I can be less purist and a bit more inventive... ...and I tried this: The BL Parts Designer is great stuff, I imported the windows in .obj format in Tinkercad and I've "cleaned" them a bit - since the import is not so precise. This weekend I'll try to 3D print these in PLA material, and then I'll try ABS. Also medium wheels can be imported (in the past I designed them from scratch, but it's waaaay easier this way). Let's see the output of this "TINkering" ...
  19. Thanks as always for the kind words! I just found an error on the chassis. The third big wheel near the motor should NOT have the two red macaroni parts. In case of working headlights with 12v light bricks, the chassis should have a small hole to let the electric cable to go down and connect to the motor. This error was due to the fact that in many pictures the V3201 does not have the central headlights, and I added them at the end without thinking to the chassis!!!
  20. Guys, you're making me discovery things I've never saw before - I thought that "Conjunction Junction" was a really nice name given by @Murdoch17 to a little station - I never figured out it could be a cartoon!!! You made my day - now I'll have the "Conjuntion Junction, whaaaaat's your functiooooon?" refrain in my mind for all the night!!!
  21. Better, waaaaay better in this color scheme!!!
  22. Thanks sir, and thanks to your great proposal to try this one! I've prepared an exploded view of the "beast" , just to show its main parts. If someone needs, the .io file - just ask, it's not a problem to share it and can be surely be improved. Ciao! Davide
  23. I heard "ugly" or am I wrong? Yes, it is - ugly but fascinating, somehow...it's a Fronkensteen locomotive ("IT...COULD...WOOOOORK!") The correct term maybe is "unfinished" or better "unrefined". It seems a patchwork of re-used things, just to show it could move on her wheels
  24. Thanks a lot Holger!!! I'd add the 4 red heads with solid stud, but your list is perfect!!! The rest is pretty easy to do, I will make some technical shots of the chassis, cabin and diesel motor in the next days
  25. Really nice version of Katy, it fits your style and would be the perfect last wagon in many of your old style trains! But...it could be nice to see her closing other trains (e.g. space ones), and live other adventures!
