  1. Excavator bodywork is very Technic style, some holes and some panels placed in the right way. Simply perfect. Small tracks are too small. Maybe the rubber tracks are the best. I hope you will make instructions for both models
  2. I think black hubs would look better on your model, I like the photo you posted on Wednesday with black hubs.
  3. I'm a big fan of Technic panels, you can create unique shapes with them, and this is the example!
  4. The adjustable track width is a feature especially of demolition excavators, so my suggestion is to include also a tilting cab. Very good choice and a good start!
  5. The pins look very dark anyway, same color as the 6x6 plate below the load of the container handler.
  6. They are inserted in LBG connectors (ar at least they look LBG connectors) and they are darker... Sorry I meant "train" set. 60336.
  7. Looking very promising! I always like your building style so I will look forward to see the final result. Do you have an idea of what scale is this model? I also think that rubber tracks would be better.
  8. I spot half pins in dark bluish grey in the new train set. Not sure if they are the friction or frictionless version.
  9. An idea for a future contest could be to replicate an official Lego Technic set in small scale, setting for example a limited number of parts or a max dimension (20 studs) but keeping Technic style, colors and functions as close as possible to the original. More or less what I did with my Volvo
  10. Mmmh no, 42128 is a good example of medium-sized multi functional set, and it is also a showcase model. New Technic sets are more and more similar to scale models with some function, so they have more appeal in my opinion. What I noticed recently is that there is less emphasis to the introduction of new big sets. No "designer videos", no presentation videos, or very limited to cars (they did it for the Sian, the Ferrari, the McLaren, but nothing for the D11T of the BMW bike for example).
  11. It works really well! Why did you decide to have this feature (bucket at the same angle when rising boom) even if the real ones don't have it?
  12. With light bluish grey rims it looks much better!
  13. I was expecting a Melacac excavator in this contest, and here it is! In my opinion you should remove electronics (quite useless if the motized part are only the tracks and nothing else) so you can improve design of the turret and fit all the pneumatic tubes. And also double check the range of movement of the bucket
  14. @Jurss I would not be so restrictive, construction machines = more or less anything that is not a car, a truck, a motorcycle, an agricultural machine, a plane and a helicopter... @Akassin great start!
  15. I'm for n. 2. N. 2 is just more restrictive, and in my opinion it will have more equal entries to judge. But if it will be number 1, we can build a construction vehicle anyway, right?
  16. The The question is: is this new lime color of the stickers actually closer to lime color of the parts? And why do they need our complaints to do them better, having already a quality control office who should do this job?
  17. Cool project! A lot of functions packed in a small sized model is really challenging, looking forward to see the progress ;-)
  18. I hope that's the case, but this doesn't explain why some liftarms are the regular ones.
  19. No, some liftarms look like the current ones (with recessed part between the holes) and some other ones and some panels are smooth between the holes.
  20. To my information, you can rotate single parts or assembiles which have only one pivot. In your example, you disconnect the upper white liftarm, you rotate the red liftarm and the blue liftarm, and then you connect again the white one.
