  1. I've seen the work in progress pictures on Instagram and I must say the final result is much better than I thought! You did a great job.
  2. I think the answer is in the previous post by @lmdesigner42 . If you have ever operated a small cylinder with a manual pump, you should have noticed that one single push on the pump completely extends/rectacts the cylinder in a fraction of a second. This system looks much more smoother and will give the correct amount of air to move the cylinders slowly.
  3. Unluckily this bucket has got the connection points at a very different position than an excavator bucket, it would rotate with a wrong pivot. Should add some liftarms to create the connection points at the correct position.
  4. The counterweight of the excavator is much better here... simpler and better shaped. The whole proportions are better.
  5. Lego City news are more functional and good looking than Technic news I've just seen images of the tracked excavator and the 16-wheels mobile crane, and they are amazing.
  6. Imagine one excavator with one of these hubs in the undercarriage and one in the turret. Much more compact than the current setup and with 2 rechargeable batteries. Not bad at all.
  7. Eh yes, I was also looking for some orange bars to simulate ladders/handrails... in the end I could only add those bars on the roof, just a small touch of orange.
  8. Thanks! I hope somebody, one day, will be able to build a bigger version, with full suspensions and maybe some motorozed functions, I know there are many talented mocers out there
  9. When I saw the Kamaz 8x8 Arctic truck for the first time, I thought is could be a perfect subject for a Lego Technic moc. The truck is an 8x8 articulated hauler, with a tipping bed and a small crane. My model uses 56mm tractor tyres, so it is more or less in minifigure scale. Functions: - 8x8 with fake engine - articulated steering with HoG - rear pendular suspensions - tipping bed - operating crane It is not super detailed as it should be, but for the scale I think it is enough. Instructions are available on Rebrickable: https://reb.li/m/177379
  10. ... panel curved 3x13 on the front-top ot the tipper, to simulate the tarpaulin... Let's end the discussion here.
  11. I was referring to the Rebrickable model, not the thread itself, which is just my motorized mod of the Rebrickable one. You did not mention it at all. We both made an Iveco T-way so that's possible that many parts are similar, that's not the point. But it is clear (you have my instructions) that there was an inspiration to make your model, and it is sad that it is not stated in your description. The dual wheels on the rear axles using 49.5 x 14 wheels look like it is your own idea! I'm not saying I'm the only one using them... but hey... Fuel tank, hydraulic tank, spare wheel, ad-blue tank, mudguard design...
  12. It is very sad to see that you did not mention another Iveco T-way as a reference for your model. In the past, after purchasing the instructions of my model, you asked me to publish a revised version with openable cab doors (I allowed you to publish the cab mod instructions, and not the whole model). Now I see you made a new model and that's ok, but the similarities are obvious, so I did expect you mention me, at least. The way you describe some features of your model (which are taken from mine) is simply not polite. That said, I like you version and the only bad point is the very limited tilting angle.
  13. I agree with you, and it is surely a marketing strategy to sell both colors, instead of chosing only one. The second color version was actually a limited edition for the blue fiat 500, and now it's really hard to find, but I think the blue bugatti is not a limoted edition and it's s actually sold at the same price as the yellow one.
  14. Cool little scale model! It's a pity it has not been frontpaged.
  15. You were fast, the real truck has been shown on 29th January, but if you had the chance to see it before the official release, then you were lucky I like the overall look, even if I prefer the Technic style than the system style, especially those exposed studs on the side walls. Surely with system bricks you can make better details! I see there are still "technicprojects-style" headlights there
  16. Remembering the good old times in which we were waiting for the toy fair to see the Lego Technic summer news by live...
  17. Hello people! I want to start showing you some of my latest models, it's quite a lot of time I don't share them here. This is an Iveco T-Way, full RC with PU motors and hub, controlled via Brickcontroller2 and a Joypad. It is equipped with suspensions on all axles (pendular on the front axles and pendular in 2 directions on rear axles). The drive motor is directly connected to rear axles (it "moves" together with the third axle). Stickers are self made. This model is a mod of my original static model, in grey and black version, which features Hog steering, rear pendular suspensions, fake engine and tipping body. Instructions available here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-121004/technicprojects/iveco-t-way/#details
  18. A lot of cars then... no problem if they will bring us more mini panels in new colors... The only one I'm interested is the Volvo set. And at a reasonable price tag.
  19. This sounds very interesting. The word "cargo" suggests it might be a truck that carries the excavator, not a tipper truck. Let's wait and see. I hope it will not be too expensive (=below 200 Euro)
  20. Looking forward to see the progress on the Mack!
  21. Sometimes the final design is not as good as we may expect, and that could be for many reasons we don't know. But the question here is: with the same amount of parts, with the same production cost, could have it been done better? Better shapes, better proportions, better resemblance to the real one? Yes and yes and yes, it could.
