  1. Hello, I show you some progress on my excavator. It will be definitely a Liebherr R914 Compact. I'm working very slowly, around 4-5 hours in the weekends, so I hope to complete it in time for the contest. Here is the current status: I've completed the undercarriage and added a pneumatic blade, moved by 2 small cilinders. I put a small pump to be operated manually. I preferred this solution instead of runnung an hose from the superstructure. In this way the excavator is free to rotate 360°. The arm is 90% complete, except the "hidraulic" lines. I've used the buckets from the Arocs to create a single large bucket. I had in mind also a quick coupler system to change bucket with other tools, but I think I will add it after compliting the rest of the model (if I will have some time before the deadline! ) Finally I'm working on the superstructure to try to reproduce the compact round shape Any suggestions or comments will be very appreciated
  2. Well you are doing an amazing job! I wish I was able to make projects virtually before than in real.
  3. Yes maybe I can reduce it, let me check what I can do in the next steps Thanks! The 323D now has got stickers with Cat logo and model number so it looks more realistic. But maybe in the next months it will be updated to a 323F version
  4. Dear all, for the pneumatic contest I'm going to build a simple tracked excavator. My challenge is to make it compact and with a good exterior design. I still have no idea what will be the final subject. A Cat 315F CR or a Liebherr R914 Compact, or even a bigger subject (i.e. Cat 335F CR) in a smaller scale. This morning job was to set up the main boom. Functions: 3 regular movements of the arm and bucket + side sliding with a small cilinder operable front blade (not sure if pneumatic or with gears) (maybe) openable cab door Progress photos: Bye!
  5. Hello, I'm working on the Arocs to make it more similar to the real one. Now the cab is 90% complete. I will remove the crane and make a simple 8x4 dump truck, full RC!
  6. Well, I' d like them with pf, expecially the paver has a great potentiality of functions, and the new panels could give the right modern shape! ;-)
  7. Lego listened to you! My wishes: some road work machines and
  8. Well, here are just some examples...
  9. I don' t understand why Lego choose black color instead of dark grey in Volvo models! And I' d loved to have the pneumatics in black color, I think it' s a neutral color more suitable for many models (also real yellow machines like Cat, New Holland, Jcb, ..., have black cilinders)
  10. I like the new bucket, but I cannot understand if it s bigger than the old one?
  11. Sorry for the super-late answer! The center of the u-joint is exactly in line with the pins of the suspensions. So there is no problem of slipping off.
  12. Here some photos of the front and rear axles, but the model got some small updates the days after these photos were taken... http://s7.postimage.org/rtwig0naz/resized_DSC02302.jpg http://s17.postimage.org/7m12d2qwf/resized_DSC02308.jpg http://s7.postimage.org/xbtphk7wb/resized_DSC02345.jpg
  13. Thanks! I will post some photos of the under structure soon. Regards Marco
  14. A demolition machine A wheeled excavator (like Mecalac) A concrete mixer with pneumatic concrete pump
  15. Thank you! The result is not really good in my opinion...
  16. Dear all, I need to solve a problem. I'd like to build a wheel loader using these wheels (with black rims): http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=44772c02 and put inside the rims these yellow sprocket wheels: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=57519 I don't have the wheels so I cannot try and see the result. Does anybody own these wheels and can take a photo? The result should be something like this ( http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4136133 ), but I need a confirm. The alternative is to use these yellow wheels ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=41896c01 ), always putting inside the sprocket wheels. Can you take a photo of this assembly too? Thank you very much for your help.
