  1. Not sure if the modernization mentioned by other members are suitable for this set: Lego has released several updated backhoe loaders after this one, I think there is the risk to blend into another model. I would keep functions and simplicity of original 8862 set.
  2. 2 axles. Very similar to the stud.io reconstruction.
  3. We can try! Maybe you can use some baloon tires, like recent Lego Technic backhoe loaders.
  4. One of the sets in my heart! Will you keep the original wheels?
  5. It is lovely! I'd like to see a video too
  6. I think it is not OK... of course you can do it, but when judges will evaluate similarities to the original model, you will not get high rates.
  7. The Ducati was released in EU in June 2020
  8. Cool contest but I don't know how people will judge an entry, so what is the task every contestants should look for? Let's take a Lego City car. I will make a perfect replica in a similar scale, using only technic parts. Someone else will take the same car and make a big replica which is not as close as the original model, but it has more details and more functions. It is a technic contest, so I think the second one will win against the first one, but is that the right voting criteria for this contest? Another example. Let's take a studded Technic model: I replace all studded beams with studdless liftarms and I have my entry for the contest?
  9. So, only the exterior look should be an imitation of the studded set, but we can add all the functions we want (not electronics of course)?
  10. Or maybe someone saw the Lego leaked image and decided to make a real truck version
  11. Sure but you can still wait to buy your desired set at 30% discount, so you save 10 Euro for the instructions
  12. Making instructions is an hard job, so yes, people must pay for them if they want them. I would never spend 50-60 hours of hard job to send a gift to other builders. I would use this time to do something more funny! Hey people we are not talking about bread or a primary good. You don't want to pay? Don't buy. And try to build it by yourself
  13. Ah OK, I thought they were half thick.
  14. How are those 2 parts joined together? It looks there are half pins on the front side, and they it looks there is 1 stud distance between them. Edit: Maybe it's better to move the discussion of those new parts in the Technic general parts discussion.
  15. Very ingenious. I understand your task, maybe it's done in a complicated way . I would have used simply black rims with grey technic wedge belt pulley, but black plastic is different than rubber black.
  16. It's a huge and detailed model, I like it very much! Question: did you use some particular rims or are they standard 30.4 x 20mm rims? It looks the tires are somehow compressed on the outside.
  17. You are right but that's the same also when opening the thread only to find another person answering that is annoying that people is asking for photos It is a public forum and it is legit for people to ask or comment even without any new relevant information...
  18. Hello! It looks strong and very well designed, but I don't like the overal proportions. It looks the undercarriage is too big or the arm is too small Did you refer to some blueprints of real excavators?
  19. Download unofficial tires here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-69602/artemisovsky/42122-wheelbarrow/#details
  20. Nice little model! I like the use of new small tractor tyres, and I like the arm and bucket movements without using linear actuators
  21. My new RC truck is a Daf! It's done using only parts from set 42098 + 42109 and can be controlled with the Control+ app (Rally Car interface). Video:
  22. This Volvo cab in "creator" style is really well done! I still think that some lego panels mixed to system parts could easily help to make the shapes ;-) Chassis and functions are super!
  23. Lovely! Thanks for the instructions.
  24. Your Liebherr is 1000 times more accurate and good looking
