Technic 2020 Set Discussion

We're missing the crawler tracks. Also, wouldn't the model need to be rather gigantic with class tires in the rear? -

1/30.9 times the speed, 30.9 times the torque. -
Lego 42098 Car Transporter Mods

I'm curious to know if someone's bought two of these sets and built a longer version car transporter from the pieces? -
42110 - Land Rover Defender

I would have bought it if the body colour had been say regular green or brown for example, not nearly enough technic parts in those colours in my opinion. I like the use of red shock absorbers and the new wheels. -
Have you guys noticed any miscolouring on your dark azur curved panels? I ordered about 10 pieces from LEGO shop some time ago, and all of them had a corner with slightly lighter colour than the rest of the piece. All of them the exact same problem. I sent them back and they sent me new ones, all of those with the same problem again. Was I this unlucky or have you noticed any of this? Are spare parts made in the same production line as the parts that go into the actual sets?

Looking at the pictures, I can only see four wheel arch panels and the Porsche comes with six of them, two of which have printed on graphics.

42099 - 4x4 X-treme Off-Roader
zoo replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have been thinking about this as well, but I'm not sure how useful these new wheel hubs are if the model is not motorized. Maybe if they make sets "Control+ upgradable" with a motor set similar to the 8293 Power Functions Motor Set. -

This car is just so beautiful. Masterfully done! Looks like you've put a crazy amount of hours into this project. Also, the stickers look ace. Can't wait for the video! :) -

Yes, we know that now. However, my point still stands. Impossible to know from a photo of a render/another photo. -

I especially like how the complete package with the excavator, Mack and trailer looks! Masterfully done! -
Yes, the 42053 set includes both a large and a small pump. If you don't have any other motorized functions in the model, adding a motorized pump will require a lot of extra space (motor, battery box) for what might be concidered a minor upgrade in some cases.

I know we live in the age of sensations but come on, judging the colour based on one photo of a catalogue? This set looks like something I will buy. Black wheels, red shock absorbers and the orange + black colour scheme is a win in my book. -

I guess what I mean is that something that makes perfect sense to one person, doesn't necessarily have to make sense to another. Also, there are people who dedicate their entire lives to what has been rather than what will come to pass. I think it is important to put things into perspective. -

Well, why not? :) I always try to see things from a wider perspective and keep an open mind. -

This thing looks amazing. Much like the real life machine. The only thing I can't get behind is the wheel arches. Other than that, it looks realy sweet! -

There was a time when you collected the reaped crops by hand. And after that there was a time were a seaprate machine was used to do the collecting. -

There was a time before the combine harvester was a thing. This attachment to the wheel loader might be useful for reaping the crops. -
Half beam problems.

Was it always like this? I don't remember having this trouble back in the early 90s myself. -

Just be careful not to upset the wrong people or you might end up with a shrunken head. -
