Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Maple replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
All those show me is we really did get the worst version of the set. The alley with a fountain is awesome idea. -
I hate Barney with the strength of a million suns and have no idea what this is based on. However it's very nice!

The Boston area has four stores, I live on the other side of Massachusetts with ZERO stores. My closest would be Hartford CT at 38 miles. But the highway system is so bad it would take be an hour and a hour to get there, IF I'M LUCKY. Here's a hint though, if you find a job near Boston you will make just barely enough money to actually live there. Cost of living is insane. Also if you live in the UK, STAY IN THE UK. Without going on a rant the USA is a hellscape to be avoided at all cost. Also none of the stores are actually in Boston, which is annoying when I visit.

They are kind of randomly released. Sometimes they were shown with the reveal, sometimes when the set comes out and sometimes months later. -
Bandmates 2 were only at two Walmarts anywhere near me, one sold out rather quick and I rather not get stabbed to get LEGO. The other I haven't been to since precovid as it takes a bit to get there. However you can order two at a time on their website, so I've placed two orders and they came in. Got 4, including swamp thing, but no dragon who I want the most.

Because it happened last year with the awesome teal car. Everything was OOS when it came out, and then it still sold out really quick. I regret not getting it. Funny you should bring up the wish list. Mine was super out of date and I figured with nothing in stock I'd add the new 2022 sets I want. Nope. The website won't let me, just says I exceed the limit of 30. I have 18 things in the list. I would just like a functioning website from the biggest toy company in the world. -
NO!!!! I'm sick of Mrs. Claus being in BAM. I don't live near a store!

Where in the USA do you live? The renderings have gotten so bad LEGO would easily lose. They are already false advertising the printing of minifigures, or should I say miss printing. The yellows are way off. If you buy a set thinking it's one color yellow and it's really another that's false advertising and in the USA LEGO would settle. Friendly Ice Cream used to have a milkshake called the Cyclone. Dairy Queen Sued because their milkshake was called the Blizzard. Dairy Queen won. Renderings that don't clearly show the correct colors or printings of minifigures fits that.

I have no interest in the mech as I don't play the game and still haven't gotten around to reading the graphic novels but that new figure on the left looks great.

With the horrible rendering colors of LEGO in the 2022 pictures I would wait until we have sets in hand to really say if we have a new skintone. But if they spent all the money in the world on things like decent picture taking or a functioning website then they wouldn't make billions and billions of dollars / euros / DDKs ever year! I'm hoping LEGO gets sued for false advertising as the render colors are completely off.

Target.com USA has the white baseplates for $6 and if you spend $50 on them you get a $10 gift card. So that 9 baseplates for $54 and then a $10 giftcard. The are being relaunched in March with cardboard for $10 so stock up now for future winter displays.

Damn straight! Their original themes can be human-like animals fighting each other with the biggest brick built weapons a minifigure can carry (Chima). Batman can have machine guns. City is a police state. But LEGO draws the line at a naughty list! (I really don't think it's the list, but LEGO 'standards' are a joke.)

That's what I was wondering. So they are both just yellow? -

Look at the yellow from it and the yellow from the crane. They don't look like the same color. Is the crane a different yellow? -

What's up with 60325's yellow? It'n not new neon yellow, and it's not normal yellow, is it just touched up so much that it looks like that? -

Maybe there is none. There is none this month. Plus if there is It's most likely from January 5th to whatever and by then the BH will be sold out. -
Yes it is but literally LEGO doesn't want the rest of the world they are being screwed by piece vs price. Been that way for decades. This teen explains it pretty well. (I have no idea who this is, I just googled and he came up.)

You could always try to find a knock off reindeer. The knock off animals come split in half and you need to place them together.

2022 Friends Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Maple replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
I find the beach cottage 41709 thing to be odd. I'm sure it's made to mix and match with the apartments but I don't like that style at the beach. I really like 41693 style that we got this year. I think it's the pink/purple color mixed with orange and random shapes. It's not working for me.- 136 replies

2022 Friends Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Maple replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
LEGO literally changed their skintones after 5 years. Friends is rebooted every 5 years. I don't see what the problem is. Do girls / women / humans not change their hair styles? LEGO made the outfits so they can be changed around? I don't know what you even mean. There are still different skintones, the outfits still match the girls to me. I think you are just gasping at straws to be annoyed by something. LEGO already came out and said that Friends would have the 'girly' packaging removed and come in line with the rest of their products and I think they look fantasic.- 136 replies

Duh. That's how it goes. What will the summer 2022 sets be? Will we get the canceled Christmas promo next year? -
Well they only cost $6USD, go operate on one and get back to us.
-
Yes because the USA has laws saying they need to have a price count. The rest of the world LEGO doesn't want to tell you how much you are getting screwed. Why would LEGO make a nice list and a naughty list the same year, and one for a GWP? That seems like a waste of a print.

No school or hospital. Museum would be nice as library is too close to bookshop.
