Pale yellow looked great on the vehicles and didn't give my eyes seizures. -
2022 Friends Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Maple replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
This is why I miss the 80s and most of the 90s where the characters, besides a few, didn't have names or anything. They can be whatever you want them to be, it's a toy.- 136 replies

I love it! Visual vomit yellow is what I'll call it from now on. Does anyone have the City school AND the Friends school? I'd love to see a comparison of two. I just missed out on the Friends school for 50-55% off. (I could have gotten it for 35% off but I'm cheap. -
Sales taxes are different, but LEGO prices are the same set prices. I didn't know VAT taxes were different. This whole thing is very odd to me.

Don't worry, not in stock yet. I noticed that when I put in the full number of Cafe Corner, it also showed Green Grocer. -
[MOC] My very first MOC - The Forgotton Beach Fortress

It's very nice. However now you have a problem that your first MOC was too nice and now the level of expectations are raised for your next one. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Maple replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
First I don't know if I believe rumours of sets at the end of 2022. But more importantly, the ned of an original in house scifi theme was YEARS ago. I'm hoping the rumours are wrong and we will get sets on Avatar: The Last Airbender. I think the LEGO Games 'theme' title is more just for LEGO's website. Kind of like the fact all Creator Expert sets are now 18+ but Creator Expert is still listened on the website. -
Thank you. That's a weird way to do it, but it worked. I have no time to listen to LEGO cultists who defend every damn thing LEGO does. The money that LEGO cost they can, and should get things right. In my experience cult members never listen, even when faces with facts and reality. Just like several members here. If they don't want to listen to facts and reality then I have no reason or desire to listen to their ignorant opinions.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

You can order 16x32 plates from Bricks and Pieces, the blue ones are $4.76USD and green is $5.40USD. Just in case you need more for your MOC. -
Well public transportation should be free everywhere in every country. But this is a toy. Again. LEGO having a MSRP that is different in different Euro countries is weird. A Lego set in Georgia (the state) with a minimum wage of $5.15 to $7.25 has the same prices for LEGO as Massachusetts does with a minimum wage of $14.25. LEGO is not changing the prices per state because of costs of living or minimum wage. There is one set price.

I just saw that the garbage can is now in coral, which is lovely and I need for no reason at all. :) -
Yeah I get all that, but to me all European Union countries should have the same price. It would be like if different states in the USA had different prices.

1. I don't 100% truth that. 2. Even if that happens, the movie comes out in a little less than a year, so why bring them up now? -
I did calculations of the increase vs. the USD prices. Some of the sets were just REALLY cheap, like $240USD for Assembly Square got bumped to $285, which is about the same price in the USA. Other countries, like England it's now over $300USD. I understand LEGO needing to change prices for some old sets, but I don't get why there are still differences.

2022 Friends Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Maple replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Oh no. That will upset people. I saw someone upset because the Marvel monster set has a rainbow pin for a lesbian character and somehow that was homophobic. I'm just happy we are getting more males in Friends and more minidolls in sets in general.- 136 replies

Exactly this. Most months the freebies don't start until the 4-6th because everyone buys the stuff as soon as it comes out. I'm in no rush. -

I think we will get a Mail theme sometimes soon. The new road plates are opening up new things like a school. I'm very hopeful for a new train station and post office. -

Oh no. I was keeping a list going for like two months of all the faces. Faces are a pain. It's why I just ask people here what I want in a face and everyone is useful. I was looking at something. I think it's the dark blue torso with arm printing, from the Spring festival modular park and it was $5+!!!! The baby City Elephant is $7 which s nuts to me. I bought the Friends set with mom and bay for like $45. I'm not picky when it comes to LEGO animals. I need to find my paper list of pieces that were missing or broken for the last two years. I keep a list so lego doesn't need to just send one tiny piece. -

Have the prices increased for people in 2022? I'm trying to place a torso order because one year I didn't and for the new year there was a new 10-20 cent price hike. -
I did a quick count. 2016 - 5 2017 - 6 (Two in one set) 2018 - 3 2019 - 5 (Two in one set) 2020 - 4 (Three were Sandy) 2021 - 3 (Two were Sandy) I hope I'm wrong because I like bigfig Hulk. Minifigure Hulk is good too though. Just LEGO does odd things. Just seems odd to randomly change Sandy into a minifigure. (Even though he looks good!)
-
When was the last set with a bigfig was released? I think LEGO is just retiring the whole bigfig line (is it a line?) and sticking more to figures. That Sandy was the only character still using the bigfig and LEGO just ended them all and it has nothing to do with Sandy. It's just he was the last one and has nothing to do with redesigns or equipment. Kind of like how Woody from the first Toy Story sets had long legs and then LEGO stopped using them in the future even though they were awesome. Just it's the end of bigfigs and we will never see them again.
-
I think LEGO is just retiring the bigfig to save money. A bigfig is like $10+ and a minifigure is $2-3. I like him small, but would like them to address it in the show.

If we get a new train and not a new train station I will be hugely disappointed. The new baseplates will work great with a station.
