LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Maple replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
It didn't make nearly 3 billion dollars because it was the director of Titantic. It made that much money because of the 3D, people wanted to see it over and over again in theaters. If people only saw it because of Titanic, they would see it only once. I don't remember anyone I know watching it only once in theaters or because it was from the director of Titanic. Is some of the money from that, sure, but no where close to all of it, or even most of it. I have no idea how people will take the 2-4 sequels, more so because 3D isn't a thing anymore. -
They will be normal minifigures as LEGO retired the long legs. August 2021

I thankfully bought some torso before the new year because they went bye-bye now. Most of what I didn't buy are sets I plan on getting. A lot of what I bought is Monkey Kid. Almost all the torsos in the City School are new. I was going to wait to see if they show up in the summer sets but maybe now I'll place another order. Plus I completely forgot I want to update my legs. Legs are 40 cents on PAB, that's SSSSOOOOO much cheaper and you know LEGO isn't going to lower the price from .68-.72 cents to .40. (All USD.) -
Did Woody have longer arms? I never realized that. What I remember from LEGO, what you say is right about the minifig design philosophy. I still hope they can make new slightly taller legs for Avatar. I don't have a lot of hope for the theme, however I HATED minidolls until Elves so I'm hoping the Blue Avatar theme is similar.
-
Which, once again, is why LEGO should have continued the use of the tall legs. Could have worked for Nightmare before Christmas, Toy Story, something else I forgot, and now Avatar. They used that mold like twice, what would have been an issue with it? I'm pretty sure LEGO came out and said they just didn't like having taller legs in an interview. I would bet money they will be about the same height as 'normal' minifigures.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

LEGO sells 4.5 road plates with a few side pieces for $20. The fire station, police station and school are all the same price with mostly the same road plates. You can't blame the road plates for the design / cost. -

RIP Bricks and Pieces. It was nice while it lasted. I suggest buying as many pieces as you can now. LEGO hasn't EVER made anything better. Seriously. Anyone celebrating this news is misinformed. How many times have they updated the LEGO website? Never works right. VIP service anyone? I was going to wait until the end of the year to buy more torsos to see which ones are rarer and which ones end up being more common. Guess I'll be making another order soon. Plus LEGOs are 40 cents at PAB and 70 cents at P&B so which price do you think LEGO will be going with? -

Really? You think a movie that made 2.85 BILLION dollars was 'meh whatever'? I think the story was 'meh whatever' but it's the first movie I've ever seen twice in a cinema (only other one was Jurassic World) because of the 3D. It was the most popular 3D movie of all time, it looked stunning. You think Titanic fans are the only reason it did well? That only Titanic fans waited 12 years is the reason it did so well is a bit loony. Anyways. If anyone wants the new orange / teal City Spacesuit it's on Bricks and Pieces along with the new Ice Planet torso. -

A watermelon slice is like $2. I never get that. Also why are bike tires $1 each when you can get two red bikes with the four wheels and Xtras for $4. Bought a bunch more torsos, and then all three ice cream suits. But very importantly, I bought two coral trash cans! Get them while you can because it will be a huge seller in the future. -

The new orange with little teal space suit has been added. Sadly the helmet visor piece, 41805, in every color is OOS. -

There won't be a tub. It's probably a guy in his underwear with a rubber ducky. -
I didn't know that. That's good. The last three City Trains all had different systems each time. Looks like no Cargo Train this year and my guess is the passenger train will be $200 as it has 7xx pieces. I wouldn't worry too much with no Cargo Train. City is getting one Wildlife set, Stuntz is continuing again this summer. We are getting Farm sets. Maybe next year there will be a Cargo train with a Cargo subtheme.

WE ARE GETTING A BARN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? Interesting that the stunts sets are continuing. If you haven't bought a bike they are amazingly fun and the minifigures are cool. The themes are all over the place, farm, Mars, wildlife, stunt and a train. Sadly just one train. -

Oh yeah, tons of them, including arms. I have no idea what LEGO is doing. Let's protest they didn't use the right color for the trans flag. And Bricks and Pieces went down again. It's so weird. NM. I'm no sure what it's doing. -

It's all good. I'm not sure why LEGO didn't use light pink. Maybe the color is too weak for a torso, like of like the translucent colors. Either way I love the set. Mono minifigures are great. -

No they didn't. LEGO makes a light pink color. That would have been the closest. -
Workers commit suicide at work places, including Amazon. Sexual harassment happens at many different work places. Executives engaging in sexual harassment without any consequences happen at work places. Once again, it's only terrible if women are being treated terribly on every step at the work? Amazon workers shit in bags. Amazon workers are fired via text so the higher ups don't need to communicate with workers. How about all the human suffering in China where LEGO is buddies with the government now? Don't talk about things you don't understand. I'd done with people like you.

I'm just sick of this PR garbage. I'm sure the set will be released at some point this year. LEGO is just waiting the backlash to die down and for Blizzard to come out and say sorry several more times and probably name a female CEO or something.

I don't know what torso you are talking about, but in the Everyone is Awesome set LEGO didn't even use the correct pink shade. -
When will LEGO review their partnership with Amazon? How about Disney? Is LEGO okay with with toxic workplace culture as long as it's across all genders?
-
Well yeah they both are hot dogs. Pendra's is enclosed though. It's made from LEGO. If you make a hot dog shaped thing they will look similar.

I will always hope for more Farm sets and animals. I'm like a City llama. I'm also hoping for actual Train sets. Like a station and a crossing and maybe a cargo loading area. With the new road plates I'm optimistic. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Maple replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks for that picture @chezzymann. I really dislike it as a corner building, but it looks decent in your layout. The alleyway feels natural. -
These are so cute! The hotdog stand is perfect. Are you going to do a pizza slice next?
