  1. I almost got thee pink elves for cost ($10 for 3) on ebay but was busy at work when someone overbid me. Those seem to go for $15 a piece on ebay. I finally got the basic set up of the three buildings under the tree. Still need to finish building the Gingerbread House.
  2. ^Yeah, that would actually be a great idea. There is so much that can be done with the set. I'm removing the art building completely to show off the shape and fixing the back so it's smooth to the other modulars buildings. I for one love the palm tree and have no issue with a birch tree next to a palm tree. I hope LEGO makes every different type of building possible. I don't need them to match, I just need them to connect well.
  3. They might not! We never know. LEGO normally does at least one exclusive GWP a month. However BH will most likely sell out before LEGO gives there monthly GWP.
  4. I agree! It would have to be a $400 or $500 set in five years. We just see the new set after months of complaining about when it will be revealed and within hours you now want to know the freebie for January? hahaha I never got the awesome teal car from last January because LEGO is a terrible company that can't stock things correctly.
  5. Look at the picture you posted. The front of the art shack is EXACTLY at the same spot as the end of the police station steps. The Book Store is wider but house is even smaller than the BH.
  6. But if you get rid of the pathetic art area that would help on pieces. The first floor could be a patio on the side, and like you said bathrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor. But if they wanted to save on parts, even just decks for the rooms would work okay. Just what they did was the worst way when this is supposed to connect to other sets. As a stand alone is pretty good though. Plus when was the last time we got a light grey baseplate?
  7. Well to be fair to other modulars that's my problem with most $200 modulars. For $80 more you get so much more with Assembly Square. I've been tempted to skip the Corner Garage and the Police Station (which I did buy) to buy another AS.
  8. Don't get me wrong, I like all the modulars in their own way. The sand green part of the police station is just silly, otherwise I like it. I really like this modular. I love that LEGO changed everything up and went different, including flesh color. However the left hand side should have never have been allowed. LEGO could have made the back of the building 5 wide bump out and make it the bathrooms or something. Not having it be able to connect decently is insane to me.
  9. Would The Office be $160? Jazz be $100? The prices seem VERY high though.
  10. It's a $200, 3000 piece LEGO set that should have went through a review to make sure it fits with the other current modulars. All LEGO needed to do is add a 5 stud wide building to the left side. LEGO added a useless sand green building to the police station. They could have done similar here.
  11. You are imaging it. It's the same size as the Police Station. Just checked the Brickset pictures.
  12. The ice skating rink is great, love the sides and everything. But let's talk about that tree! The trees are amazing! The tan trunk one is the most amazing MOC tree I have seen in a long time.
  13. I want the space sets as soon as they go on discount.
  14. The patio part is really weird. I thought when we got rumours it would connect to the inside of the building, just it doesn't. The whole left side is really bad and would need to be redone. It's a modular that doesn't connect well with other modulars.
  15. They don't. PR looks to be 10 studs high while BH looks to be 7-8.
  16. No, the whole left side I feel is completely off for a modular. So I would have to take it all down and redo it, that's a third of the set that would need to be modified.
  17. Mods shouldn't be having to remake 1/2 or 1/3 of the structure because LEGO forgot that the modular series should.... I don't know.... be modular.
  18. It's a $200 LEGO set. I shouldn't have to spend another $100 to make it look nice next to another modular. I fell asleep looking for Corner Garages last night and the one I was going to buy new in beat up box for $230USD was snatched up. I need to go back to buy now and return later. That was I could have gotten one from Amazon, then returned it if LEGO had CG with a god freebie or double points.
  19. I think he will love that set. The buildings are crap, but the rocket and it's transport are really well done.
  20. I agree it should just be a hotel. I don't know why LEGO is against making a modular just one thing. It looks too weird from the left side and simply removing the tiny art gallery would help a lot.
  21. It's finally tomorrow! I like it, however it looks small considering 3000 pieces. The inside is better detailed than most recent ones. I like the flesh color. I HATE the color of the first floor. I feel it doesn't fit in well with the rest of the set. It also looks HORRIBLE from the left side, where the Police Station is in the photos. The angle isn't the best there. I do like how it has a very Cuban feel to it. If I don't find a Corner Garage at least this makes up for it.
  22. It would actually be today for some, and yesterday for others.
  23. Yes! Join me. Come to the dark side. Or in my case the pale side because I miss the pale yellow in fire and police.
  24. 100%. I bought my Gingerbread House in May/June... I think. Sometime when it was warm because it wasn't ever in stock more than 2-3 hours and I was busy. Well worth the full price I paid. I got Elf Clubhouse for 25% off because of a screwy box.
  25. If you can only get one because of money, go with 60215. Mainly because it has windows on the side of the garage and the new one doesn't.
