Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Maple replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
It will be $200 within 6 months. LEGO increased the prices just so companies to stick them 'on sale' for the old price. The Hotel is still $200 everywhere, besides Target where it's $201. There hasn't been a modular on sale since the fall of 2018. Even corner garage never went on sale. (And that one is the only one I don't own besides the first 4.) -

Don't try to explaining your insanity to us thinking we are dumber than you. We aren't, get off your high horse. There have been LEGO interviews were you can tell things were off. This isn't one of them. Watch the interview where he talks about designing the set. It sounds like every set design process ever. You must be a nightmare to date. -

Exactly! It looks like the fire brigade and the bottom blue looks awful. If it were dark blue the light blue would have matched better and blue and yellows look great next to each other. I hope someone with CAD skills can build the set in dark blue. -

Funny I would have MUCH prefered if this was dark blue instead of red. That's much of my complaint, the dark red color. I think the set would be amazing in dark blue and I'm very curious to how the test group works. Is it just a LEGO test group or do they get random people in? Interesting this interview seems to hint that the video was filmed in September. The designer wasn't rushed, just was development process. They have been working on it over since July 2021 and things changed. Part 2 The video is so old that the designer thought the set was $200. -

There was more than one person who said that on here. Remember it was so late that supply change issues canceled the set! HAHAHAHA! But no one ever eats their words around here as long as you say everything LEGO makes is 100% awesome. What color is the base floor? Azure? I have a hard time telling the colors apart in LEGO renders and pictures. -

So LEGO City is just like real life! There is a video on Lego's Twitter of the set being build in chunks. It's the only place I've seen that shows the building without the JazzClub sign. It looks a lot better to me. -

Yeah it's really fat, takes up a large amount of the baseplate. I started building the Daily Bugle last night and I'm amazed by how small the actual footprint of the building is. -

It looks a lot better next to other modulars, which is kind of super important. My problem with the BH is that it looks pretty bad next to every modular I have seen it by. However the back of the box makes the PS,JC and BH all look really nice. -

Darn. I literally just bought one from LEGO for $60 with $7.50 cashback. -
Thanks for that picture. It's probably way I got that confused. They talk about Autumn's House and then Stephanie in the future. Plus I never really knew / used the names of the characters that well.

I agree with all of these. The issue with corner buildings is they are weird in corners, and the diner isn't even a corner modular. I never bought the corner garage. I regret getting one missing the roof for $130USD. But oh well. I'm going to say it now. The set would look amazing, blue and all, if the dark red was sand red. -
It wasn't Stephanie, it's Mia. She's Autumn's mom in the house set. I swear we talked about it here because someone was making a joke that the sets much take place in the early 2030s because a set from this year said it was 2022. I think this is partly right. I think some of the hate is just hate for something different. I hate minidolls because their hands don't move and they don't have studs on their butts. If LEGO introduced minidolls that did more, not less, things then minifigures I think they would have been more well received. Plus LEGO never really gave minidolls the attention/details they deserve in the theme. Friends minidolls to me have been 'meh' but the Elves line they were amazing, and even the DC Girls Super Hero line did a good job.

That's what we need. More insane speculation based on prints / stickers.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Maple replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
So my order from November first, not October 31st like I thought, still no where to be seen. But this new system is sooooo much better. -
She is the mom to one of the new 'Friends'. I don't think because it's being rebooted a bit that Friends is somehow 'new' and 'upcoming'. It's a 10 year old theme. It's like saying City was upcoming a few years back when it was rebooted to included TV show characters.

This kind of happened with the police station. I like the donut shop a lot more. I wish it was another split set, that the pizza shop could be it's own thing like the bookstore and the pet shop. -

Honestly. I thought the gaming community was unbearable. I can't even read the comments here they are out of this world. -

I'm still rolling my eyes at most of you. However I'm moving on now. I'll start with the pizza shop as I love pale yellow. SO happy it's pale yellow. I think it looks amazing. The white design of the roof is beautiful. Plus loads of plants. Very happy. I have no idea what that black mess on top of the roof is so I'm ignoring it for now. Now to the club. Very very 'ehh'. It looks like a cinema with a fire station on top. The dark red isn't working for me, neither are black windows. Should have been another color or just needs more color. It's also very very very flat, there is no texture. Even some mason bricks or something would be nice. I also hate the JAZZCLUB sign, I think it's terrible and frankly makes the set look cheap. Which brings me to my last point. Price. It's supposed to be $230. Nope. Not feeling it. Last year I had the problem with the set just not fitting in with the other modulars, however it basically looks really good if it just stood alone. This will fit the modular line a lot better, but there is no character. It feels recycled. The firehouse on top of the cinema, a pizza shop (food) on top of the tailor (who looks like a barber). The interior pictures better be really WOW. -
How is Friends 'Up and coming'? It's been a top theme for a decade now.

I think you need to relax and maybe talk to a professional. It's LEGO, they aren't going to say anything. They literally stuck 125 2023 sets on their website without a word. No reveals, nothing. -

Yes, it will happen within the next 21 days. I'm 100% certain of that. -

But there are still 14+ hours of December 10th in the USA! There is still time!!!! If it wasn't a Saturday I think it would have been funny if LEGO just added it to the website and didn't even send a press release out. Did we ever even get a designer video for the hotel? -

It's 10pm right? It's only 9:33am in the USA, where Jazz was invented, so in 38 minutes the set will be revealed!!!!!! -

Maybe! But Jazz was invented in the USA so shouldn't it be revealed in the USA when it's December 10th in the USA! Stop asking questions! Today is the day because there were some numbers on a piece from last year saying it was today, but only today in the USA because Denmark, were the set was made, uses a different date system, and some random website that most people have never used has hinted at something!
