  1. It's interesting to me, my GE is still backordered but they shipped two freebie sets. I guess that's fine but what if they ended up canceling my order due to lack of inventory, I'm not shipping back my Classic Space guy!
  2. I don't think the rumor is of a modern building exactly, just a newer style than some of the others. There are a lot of nice 1950s buildings that come to mind. I'm hoping for dark, rich colors, use of the brick moulded pieces and a brick built sign or billboard.
  3. Hmm, it seems we're all doing the same thing. I woke up yesterday morning at 0600 Pacific Time, ordered the GE, checked again at 0700 and it was "Sold Out". Hopefully they wouldn't oversell their stock, I really want my Classic Space guy bonus! It also sounds like the Detective Agency (Bureau, Station) will have a bar of some kind with it, if so, I think I might be mostly excited about that.
  4. Wow. That's amazing, like it should be in space... Skin of the Death Star. Looks like you've got a hang of the computer.
  5. Easily my top pick. Also, I really like The Ghan train. Never been to Australia, but they deserve a nice train too. I'd pass on any high speed trains.
  6. If there is a new UCS Falcon coming out, I don't think this is it. I'm guessing this was custom built just for this little guy's bedroom. The radar dish looks smaller than the one from 7965, there are gaps everywhere and.......STICKERS!?! Maybe an updated Ep. 7 playset?
  7. Lots to love here... I'm glad you included a copilot. As an airline First Officer I always hated not being included in Lego models :) Love the FA jumpseat, doesn't look too comfy but they're supposed to be up working anyway. Maybe you could add a center counsel with some small screens for the Flight Mgmt Systems, altitude press systems etc... I think that light grey piece represents thrust levers, love that. The nav lights on the elevators are not necessary and would only be found on the wings. I'm not crazy about the lack of a turbine fan in the engines, but it's your plane and it looks great!
  8. Looks great! Maybe yellow handrails?
  9. I think his point is to be able to get rid of the buffers, for us in North America at least. It's a great idea! Instead of buffers studs would allow levers that could stand in for pneumatic connections for example. I won't hold my breath but changing the buffers would be very welcome.
  10. Nice reviews! So excited for orange train windows!!! Great sets for parts. Love the dogs, they look just like my Malamute.
  11. I built his alternate train station from the town hall. Very happy with it, and it he made instructions, but there are hundreds of pictures of each step. I can imagine he's not dying to do that again. If he puts instructions for this up, I'd probably tear apart my train station to build the hotel. And if he ever reads this, thank you very much for all the work you put into making it public.
  12. Is Brickstore gone? The developer's website seems to be gone, you can still find the install file floating around on the internet but when you install it will give you an error about updating the Bricklink database. If this has been asked somewhere else, I apologize. I really wanted to try this program out.
  13. When the Horizon Express was rumored on this website, I was really, really hoping it would be something like your SP Daylight. This is my favorite MOC and the one I've wanted a copy to build for myself for the longest time. I will definitely be buying. Any estimate on number of pieces? Beautiful work.
  14. Nice job with the floor tiling! Is the lawn chair on the roof from a set or a MOC? I might have to borrow it.
  15. Good point. New cargo train (60052) is US $199 online and in US stores.
  16. Sammael, thank you and well said! I would love an auto mechanic shop on the bottom floor. Maybe a small business above that? Tattoo parlor? :)
  17. That really, really looks great! I love all the details.
  18. I thought about suggesting a displaced threshold, but I think the landing gear would melt off the plane before the end of the runway. You can only do so much in a small amount of space, looks good to me.
  19. As a commercial pilot, I love that the numbering on the runway is correct. The jetway is fantastic and it looks very playable for the kids! I do cringe at thinking about having to do a short field takeoff/landing with an obstacle over the jet's tail at the end of the runway though :) The only other thing for me would be the threshold stripes, they should be parallel not in a shuffleboard pattern but I'm thinking you did that to fit in the approach lights. Very nice.
  20. I would love to build this too. I spent a lot of time in Duluth/Two Harbors when I was younger and can imagine one of these hauling iron ore to the lake back in the day. I've been to the rail museum in Duluth a number of times but I didn't realize there was one up in Two Harbors also. I'm not sure how I missed it. Wikipedia says the DM&IR version had a centipede tender, are you planning on building it that way? BTW, I changed my avatar to a picture I took from 2003 at the Duluth Railway Museum to support your project, I really want to see this finished!
  21. 1. Maersk! Easily add a 9V motor and it flies on the track. 2. ronenson's big, bad Union Pacific SD70 (his avatar). Heavier but still a yellow blur on 9V. I know it's not a set, but it might be cheaper than the other 9V sets that are retired and it looks great. 3. BNSF, if you can find it for a reasonable price.
  22. Don't worry that's just andythenorth humor. I bet anything his kids have one by the end of summer and he'll be grumbling in the corner because he's too old to have fun. This looks great though! I can't wait to see it in person!
  23. After watching it pop open for about the 50th time, I went Lord Business on it. Fixed forever.
  24. I would love to have this on the shelf with my modular buildings. Supported!
  25. I guess you could probably post your own pictures... If you'd want. I know I'd be interested. ;) ... Probably in a new thread...
