  1. Woohoo! Thanks guys!!! I will wear it proudly! I really enjoyed these pictures, especially Vlai23's Mad Tea Party!!! I never would have thought of that.
  2. A train museum??? I can't wait to see that!
  3. Well yeah it's so simple ->
  4. Sawdust! Never thought of that, and thank you I love your skyline! I wasn't too worried about the tracks getting scratched but I was pretty careful with the Maersk. I realized when I was at the beach that I had forgotten to take the PF motor off and was worried about sand getting in there. I can imagine the passerbys gawking at you! I had a similar experience. The picture was taken on a beach on the east coast of Kauai with my wife's Costco camera in macro mode. Good luck to you and everyone else!
  5. Just awesome! I really like it. I don't think it would look too out of place in the U.S. either. I love all the gear. Very well thought out!
  6. I haven't yet but I am thinking about the same thing. It's not original, but I really didn't care to have holes all over my building where there should be windows. I think even if I had bought the original I would have ripped them out (and probably sold them on Bricklink).
  7. Seriously? That is awesome!!! Hahaha! Phred, did you screw up real bad?
  8. Yeah I did't photoshop mine either. I don't even know how. I took my Maersk to the beach and came home with a bucket of sandy Lego train parts!
  9. Great!!! Thank you!
  10. Birthday? Legos. Christmas? Legos. Loan payment due? Beer and Legos.

  11. Hey there! Nice to meet you! I miss MN! It is a beautiful state and will always feel like home. Nice job joining on my wedding anniversary! Haha.
  12. The source of Brickster's new madness?
  13. A place to calm my madness when I reach the end of the mainline.
  14. Hmm. I've been looking for the red roof slopes on the Pick A Brick part of Lego.com for a while and haven't seen them. They are New Dark Red right? Is there another way than Pick A Brick?
  15. Can anybody find this on iTunes? My wife said it had a download on iTunes banner and I would be more than willing to buy the episode, I just can't find it. Thanks!
  16. Thanks for asking a question I didn't want to ask! Hahaha! I've looked too but didn't find it. Oh and thanks for answering!
  17. Wow. I'm not kidding when I say Lego should sell that. I would buy it for sure, just as it is. Thanks for sharing!
  18. Wow that's great! We had the Star Wars one but this is way better!!!
  19. Hi everyone! I figure it's finally time to introduce myself on the registry. My name is Rob but I picked wondermonkey for a username. It actually was a name I was called at my old job. I hated it at first and then became used to it. Love the site and really enjoy looking at the pictures with my wife. She likes town and castle stuff but I love the trains. Back in the mid 1980's I got 7722 for Christmas and probably wore the wheels of that train. My parents still have it somewhere in their house. About a year ago we were walking through the Ala Moana mall in Honolulu when my wife actually begged me to go into the Lego store. I really wasn't interested at the time and put it off on several mall trips. Eventually I caved and we went in. Almost immediately I saw the Emerald Night and it was on for me. I love it, it's a very fun hobby. Now I have the Emerald Night, Maersk Train, the Toy Story train and several MOCs. When I bought the EN, the Lego store was clearancing out a lot of train tracks (not 9V obviously). I bought all I could afford. I read articles all over the internet about putting copper foil tape over the rails and now I have a fairly good size 9V track collection. It doesn't work quite as good as the real track but I am replacing it slowly and it's kinda fun working on the tracks. Well thanks for reading, see ya out there. wondermonkey (Rob)
  20. Ha funny! So far I am really enjoying the stories on where the ideas came from and all the LEGO rules that were broken. Must be fun if you're an official set designer to cut loose now and then and write a book about plate launchers!
  21. I do! Mahalo (Thank You)!!! A fun start to a new Christmas tradition.
  22. So for Christmas I received the book Forbidden Lego. I don't have a lot of technic pieces yet but this book will be my inspiration I'm sure. I looked around and didn't see this posted before, has anyone heard of or tried anything from this book? I'd love to see the actual pictures! Merry Christmas to all!
  23. Sure, I'd be happy to! Sorry, it's a little sunny out.
  24. Haha what's Christmas without Star Wars!
